After my previous Bedhead hairspray ran out I was looking for a change - however Bedhead is a brand that I 100% trust, so I began to browse through their collection.
This product caught my eye because of its claim to 'turn your hair into a work of art'. I often find that hairsprays don't really hold my hair in place that well, so I decided to purchase this.
You can buy it for around £10, maybe slightly less if you shop around on sites like Amazon and eBay. You can also buy most Bedhead products in a lot of hair salons but expect to pay quite a lot more.
The product itself is presented in turquoise/blue large bottle with a yellow dispenser and an odd shaped cone lid. The product smells gorgeous, as do most Bedhead products - it has a fruity scent that makes you want to keep spraying! However, ensure that you don't 'over spray' as it will leave your hair all crunchy and hard which isn't a great look.
You don't need to spray much of this for it to take effect therefore making the product last quite some time which justifies the price for me. Obviously use it on dry hair! I put it on as the final part of my routine after I have styled my hair and it works absolutely perfectly! It can give light or heavy hold, depending how much you apply.
Overall I would give this product 5 stars because it does exactly what it says on the tin! Your hair will stay in place all day.
I bought the Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray about 6 months ago and I believe I paid around £8 (for 300ml) for it, on-line at a discounted beauty shop.
That is the most I have ever - and would ever - pay for what is basically, a very good strong hold hairspray. You always expect to pay a little more for a 'named' product, however, I really don't think that it is much more expensive than say Elnett, which would cost approx £4 for 200ml.
The packaging of the Masterpiece hairspray is certain to appeal to many, as it is of modern design, sleek and shiny. Their is also no denying the fabulous scent that all the Bed Head products have, and the Masterpiece certainly doesn't disappoint either. I have been asked by my husband what perfume I am wearing, when it was only a quick spritz of the hairspray!
Masterpiece promises to 'Turn your hair into a work of art....that lasts all day'. Well, I can certainly validate their claim. My hair does not budge once it has a fine coating of the hairspray on it. I have found that if you are too heavy handed, then your hair may become horribly crunchy - seriously, a little goes a long way.
I don't use it everyday, only when I am going out for dinner etc and want my style to last.
There is a slight shine that is added to your hair when using Masterpiece, but I don't think it should be marketed as a shine spray.
Bed Head products are, in my view, well worth the money!
This particular hairspray is designed to make your hair appear shiny while giving great hold. It does exactly what it says on the tin!! I use this hairspray on a night predominantly as I find that it leaves a great shine on my hair making it look very healthy. In addition to this, it has a really good hold which lasts a long time and I have found that i don't need a lot of the spray in order to get my hair to stay put. I have long hair and it is a great spray for length. At no point does this hairspray feel sticky either so it is definitely worth the price. Unlike most hairsprays this one does not have the potent smell which can hurt your chest. It has a fruity smell which is really pleasant and much more appealing than most sprays.
The can is a sparkly blue with a green top. All Bed Head products are well packaged. They look lovely on a shelf.
I understand that people could find the price off putting and it is expensive (I paid approximately £10) for my can. However, I think that it is well worth it. The first time I used it I used too much of it but you really don't need to use much! It lasts a really long time!
I have found that this shine spray does exactly what the name suggests - gives great, shiny hair.
I was initially put off by the rather hefty price tag on this, but have since found that the bottle actually lasts a relatively long time in comparison with other sprays and therefore have found it to give good value for money. Although it is not something that I use daily, I do use it fairly often and have only need to replace it every couple of months.
It is used as a finishing spray after styling and gives the hair a shiny, glossy look. Sprayed as a mist over the hair, it does not give the greasy feel of some similar products. The packaging is very bright, fresh and modern and looks great on my shelf.
The spray also has a fresh, fruity scent, which lingers on the hair. It leaves my hair silky and manageable and reflects light really well. The can also looks funky & modern on the side with my other products.
It's a pretty expensive product at £10.50 for 300ml, but my verdict is you get what you pay for and this one is totally worth it :) Try it for yourself!
Since having my hair cut short after having it long for many many years, I found that I needed something to keep my 'do in place. My wonderful hairdresser used this Tigi Bed Head product on my hair and after leaving the hairdressers, I was amazed at how well my hair stayed in place without feeling heavy or like cardboard, and, on closer inspection, my hair had a lovely shine to it which didn't look greasy! I was very impressed as the usual hairsprays I had used left my hair feeling like it could be lifted right off my head in one go.
I bought a 300ml can from the hairdressers for £10.50 (a heck of a lot for a can of hairspray!) which lasted me for about 2 months when used daily. The wording on the can tells you it gives 'serious hold' and it does, without plastering your hair to your scalp or making it feel hard and horrible. It brushes out easily too, leaving your hair looking and feeling soft. No problems there!
What I really like about this product is that it does what it says it will; it gives your hair great hold without feeling horrible and it gives your hair great shine without it feeling or looking greasy.
As this is an expensive product, shop around online to find it much cheaper and sometimes there are special offers such as a free handbag sized can of the hairspray when you buy the 300ml can. Very handy! I love this product.
As you have probably guessed by now if you have read any of my reviews before i am a huge Tigi Bed Head fan and think that they have some great products and over the years where they only supplied to salons you can now buy the products on line for almost half the price.
Tigi Bed Head Master piece massive shine hairspray is a product that does not need much explaining it is a hairspray that holds your hair into place this is a medium hold it does not set your hair into one shape and your hair still has movement and flexability whilst also protecting you hair.
Masterpiece massive shine hairspray is also a product that with the great formula that will last in any weather condition and with its usual tigi great fragrance this is a product worthy of your dressing table.
To use spray on to you hair about 20cm away and spray on the hair and style or on the styled result to hold it in to place and give it that extra protection and conditioning that your hair needs.
It is suitable for all hair types and can be used on short or long hair and even if you wear you hair down this will keep your hair in place whilst still giving it the movement that you need.
Like most hairsprays make sure that you so not over spray you hair as it just seens to make you hair go crispy and feel heavy which is not good on a night out with you great styled hair that you spent hours on.
Compared to most hairsprays this is a very expensive one but i think it is worth every penny and a little bit of this product goes a long way.
Well, for one, shine is Sh-uper!, grease is gross! There are many many MANY shine products available right now, as every hair care range does one, be it as a gel, wax, pomade, or as in this case, a spray. In very simple terms, this product works. The spray isn't packaged all that excitingly (like the bedhead range), but looks aren't everything! it comes in a relativley generous sized blue bottle, with instructions to spray sparengly 20cms away on wet or dry hair. It advises that you spray the midlengths and ends of hair, i guess so the roots don't become greasy, which implies that the spray IS greasy, but it isn't. It has a texture, if you can imagine, of serum, mixed with water, and in a mist form. The spray leaves the hair very shiny (my hair is in VERY bad condition, but it still managed to make it look healthy) and very natural looking, which is rare as most other shine products give the hair a heavy seperated look that isn't as natural. The smell is strange and a little bit chemical, but that can be forgiven as the product is so good! Don't settle for greasy pomades and waxes (or other shine sprays that don't work), when you can have beautiful sh-uper shiny hair (like me ;O) !) (not too sure about the price as i stole it from my sister!)
This is a great little product that will give even the dullest of hair a great pick me up shine! It's really good you only need a little squirt of it to get instant shiny hair. My hair can get very dull at times due to years of abuse and from pollution in the air. My hair dresser recommend this as an instant pick me up. It's very straight forward just squirt a little on after you have finished styling your hair and hey presto instant shiney hair! The spray is not at all greasy and is easily brushed out of your hair. The spray comes in a non areosol bottle which is great ie no cfc's. It lasts for ages. I've got a 125 ml bottle and I tend to use it about twice a week - the bottle is half full 6 months after buying it. Obviously it is no substitute for using a good intensive conditioner but if you need results quickly then this could be the answer!
Turn your hair into a work of art, that lasts all day! Massive Shine, Serious Hold!!
