A delicious smelling hair product which holds your style in place

Tigi have brought out great product after great product. I have loved nearly everyone that I have tried. Their hairsprays are one of the best that I have tried and so I purchased the Bed Head Maxxed Out to help keep my hair in place.

      What does the product do?
The product is essentially a hair spray which promises to keep every hair in its place with a 'massive hold.' It you to hold on to your hair style all night and also to give your hair a beautiful shine. As well as doing this, it is also protecting your hair from the damaging elements around you such as the sunshine and pollution and leaves your hair smelling delicious. The product is suitable for use on both men and women.

How do you use the product?
The product isn't in an aerosol can like most hair sprays. It comes in a pump bottle and you don't need to use to much. You simply dry and style your hair how you want it and then spritz a little bit of this onto the hair holding the bottle about 30cm away. It can be applied under the hair for more volume.

      Packaging and Price
The product comes contained within a purple bottle which is partly see through and you can see the liquid inside. It has a purple pump dispenser which you push down on in order to release the product. The hair product will cost you around £10 for a random 236ml. It can be bought from most good hair dressers and also from a range of online websites.

      Application and Performance
The product is easy to use. It is light to hold and the pump dispenser is easy to push so your arms won't ache as you do so. It has the trademark delicious aroma that I associate with this brand and it smells sugary sweet and fruity. It is a refreshing change from the usual horrible chemical aroma that you often get with hair sprays. You can continue to smell it long after you have finished styling your hair and it doesn't get sickly at all.

The product comes out clear on the hair and it comes out of the bottle as a mist. I have applied it lightly over the top of curls which I have created with my ghds and it has added a beautiful glossy shine to my hair. It doesn't look dry and crispy as some products can make it look. It looks soft and healthy but only as long as you don't spray to much of it. It does feel hard to the touch and my hair is impossible to brush at the end of the day without washing it first but I wouldn't brush my curls through anyway.

I have also used the product at my roots after back combing to hold the volume in the roots and it does a great job. It keeps my hair looking 'big' all evening although my roots do feel hard to touch and I definitely wouldn't get a brush through it. Nevertheless, it makes my hair look good so this is a small sacrifice. It hasn't irritated my scalp in anyway and the product is easily washed out.

      Conclusion
All in all, this is a great product to add volume to your roots and hold your hair style in place. It is easy to use, it isn't an aerosol and it smells completely delicious. It makes my hair shiny and it looks beautiful. You won't get a brush through your locks after using this but it easily washes out. This is another lovely product by Tigi.

The Best Holding Hairspray Ive Found So Far.

I am usually not the type of person who spends loads of money on haircare products. Id rather spend my money on expensive make-up rather than a spray for my hair but that all changed when I discovered the TIGI range. I only intended to buy 2 different products at the most just to see if they worked as well as everyone claimed. And Ive not used any other products on my hair since - and I just keep buying more of the range, the last one I bought being this 'TIGI Bed Head Maxxed Out'. Id been looking for a new 'super hold' hairspray as Ive recently bought myself some new curling tongs and I needed products to make the curls last longer. Hving naturally poker straight hair when it curl it they alwasys seem to drop out really quickly so I needed a hairspray that could last for a long time. I think I might have found one here!

      Useful Information:
Price: £6 - £12 - Prices vary greatly so shop around for the best deal on this one.
Stockists: Amazon, the TIGI website & most hair salons also stock this brand.
Other Info: This promises to act as not only a hairspray that keeps your style in - whether up or down all day - but it also promises to add an extra boost and shine to your hair. This product is unisex and and promises a quick drying formula to stop your hair feeling sticky.

*On the amazon website it says this product can be used on any hair type/length and it will work just as well. The good thing about this is that men can also use it - which I dont think applies to any of the other TIGI products I have tried. This works really well on my hair which is - long, coloured and Id say normal thickness - so I definitely recommend this if you have a similar hair type to me.*

      - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The packaging for this product - as with all of the TIGI products Ive tried - is gorgeous and it makes a great addition to my bathroom shelf LOL. This 236ml bottle is a dark purple in colour - yet still totally see through so you can see exactly how much spray is left in the bottle after youve used it. The shape of this one reminds me of a cocktail shaker because it is quite thin at the bottom and then gets bigger as it goes up - at the top is a small nozzle which is covered with a purple cap so if you are carrying this around with you it wont spray out in your bag or leak. On the front and back of the bottle is all the information you could need about the spray - brand name, ingredients, directions for use etc so any questions you might have about this should be answered on the bottle, if not there is an additional email address to write to. The packaging is very simple yet looks brilliant - and looks more expensive than it actually is in my opinion.

I dont normally add ingredients to my reviews but in the case of TIGI products the ingredients are directly related to the results so I think its important to add them. So the main ingredients and their results are -

      - Octylacrylamide - Holds style
      - Acrylates - Holds style
      - Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer - Holds style
      - Trimethylsilyamodimethicone - Enhances shine
      - Propylene Glycol - Enhances shine

So this product is good for adding extra hold to styles - either up or down - and adds shine and volume. There are also ingredients added to prevent sun and heat damage so this has everything you could need from a hairspray with a few added extras - so its even better for your hair.

      - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To use this product is very simple as I think everyone knows how to use hairspray by now! You can use this directly onto dry hair whether you are wearing it up or down as the results are the same both ways - even though I use it on my hair when its down MAINLY. The directions fur use state to hold this around 10 inches away from your hair before you start to spray and I think thats about right because using it that way doesnt make your hair stickr or give your hair that horrible crunchy feeling so if you use it the way TIGI recommend you will get the best results. You can re-apply this throughout the day for extra hold which I have to say when my hairs curled I do a lot - and no matter how much I use I never get greasy, hard looking hair so regardless of how much you use you will get the same results with no nasty surprises! I think this works just as well regardless of whether your spraying it on styled or down hair so whatever is your everyday style this can be used on it.

On the amazon website the scent of this is described as 'Fresh' but I dont really understand where they got that from! This smells very citrussy in reality - Im glad even though Im not normally keen on citrus scents, I assume Fresh would smell like an air freshener so Im actually glad its nothing like that. What I love most about the scent though is that it smells honestly nothing like what you expect from a hairspray - it has no strong chemical scents at all just the fruity, citrus fragrance and even when it dies down the citrus scent remains. Thats what I like the most about this product because I normally hate the scent of hairspray - its far too strong! I think this scent will appeal to everyone - even people who dont normally like citrus scents - it is definitely one for everyone and for men as well as the scent is very unisex. Also it lasts ages on my hair after Ive applied it so fragrance wise I love this one.

      - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I think the results of this are just as brilliant however you use it but in slightly different ways. When using it on styled/up hair this offers brilliant hold without your hair feeling sticky or having that crunchy feel to it - you also dont have to reapply it very often at all so the results are fantastic when used that way. As I mentioned I normally tend to use this when my hair is down and straightened and in that sense it offers more shine, boost and even acts as a de-frizzer rather than having loads of hold - which in this case I dont think you need so which way you use it will mean you get slightly different results - which are both brilliant in their own ways. As I mentioned at the start of this review I mainly bought this for when Im curling my hair to make sure the curls lasted much longer before dropping out so using it with that style was the ultimate test for this spray. And Im very amazed to say this passed with flying colours! I use this on curled hair alongside TIGI's Foxy Curls Cream and I really only apply this to set the curls in place and keep them there for longer and it 100% works. Id say normally with no products the curls would drop out within about half hour at the most and when using this they stayed in all day so it has definitely made a difference to my styling routine!

I would definitely recommend this regardless of how you style your hair because I think this one product that everyone would be able to use and get really brilliant results from. Dont worry about the price too much as this is totally worth it - its one you can use everyday so it worth the money in the long term. Highly recommended.

      Thanks For Reading.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        A great hairspray

Most of the hairsprays I have ever tried leave my hair feeling stiff and crisp with no flexibility. They are too powerful and way too strong - they give TOO much hold. This is fine on a night out, but in your day to day routine no one wants hair with no movement.

I am a Bedhead fan and I love each and every one of the products they sell. They are all unique and have excellent results. This product is no exception. Unlike other hairsprays it doesn't give a rock hard finish, however it gives enough hold to keep your hair in place all day. It has a pump action which disperses evenly over the hair so it doesn't leave you with sections that look greasy or wet.

It comes in a purple bottle for around £10 in most hair salons, however you should be able to find it cheaper on sites like Amazon and eBay.

Overall its a great product that give enough hold but doesn't make it over the top and false looking. You can still give your hair a swish! When brushed out it doesn't leave any residue, another bonus!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A great alternative to traditional sprays!

I purchased this after trying it over a friends house. I don't normally use hairspray as I find it leaves my hair a little 'stiff' however I am trying to grow out my fringe and at the moment I need it to sweep my fringe off my face as well as control the odd flyaway I get. This product comes in a purple container which has a pump dispenser. It contains 200ml of product which is in a liquid form inside the bottle. I paid £7 for this, I bought it online as I do with all my Bed Head products, ebay and amazon are much cheaper than salons.

The product describes itself as massive hold hairspray, it also promises to give your hair a super shine and dry quickly. The hairspray is easy to use, it dispenses very evenly and with a fine mist. The spray has a lovely citrus smell which is very fresh and a change from normal aerosol hairsprays. I used it to sweep my fringe off my face before using some hair clips. I noticed that my hair felt soft and had a lot of movement. At the end of the day I brushed my hair and was suprised that the spray brushed out and no residue was left.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a change from normal hairsprays which have a chemical smell. This is a welcome alternative and brushes out easily. It can be used on wet or dry hair and it is unisex too. You can also spray it on your hairbrush and brush through hair to smooth down flyaways.

The only problem I had was that the pump became clogged after a few weeks of use, this was easily rectified by running it under the hot tap.

All in all a great hairspray, a bottle lasts at least 3-4 months for me!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        hair held in place

Out of all of the hairsprays that i have used over the years this is one of the best that i have ever found on the market as it leaves my hair feeling soft unlike most hairsprays that make your hair crisp and sticky. When you take you hair down or brush it after use i found that i had to wash my hair straight away as my hair felt awful as it was sticky and was stuck in place.

Maxxed Out from Tigi Bed Head is a strong hold hairspray, which still gives your hair flexability whilst holding your hair into position whilst conditioning and protecting you hair against the sun and other elements that damage your hair whilst adding shine to.

Maxxed out is also enviromentally friendly with its non aerosol and pump action.

It is suitable for all hair types and is unisex and has the usual Bed Head fruity flavours that you not come to expect and adore from the Bed Head range.

For best results hold 15 to 20cm from hair and and apply to dry or styled hair and reapply for extra added support to you hair. Do not apply to wet hair as this is a waste of product as you get no hold out of it what so ever.

For the best price search around online and you would be suprised at the various different offers that are available, i found that my hairdressers overcharge for these item and now they are available online they are so much cheaper.

Another great product on the market and i highly reccommend it, whats more is it 400ml and also lasts a long time unlike an aerosol seems to not last anywhere near as long.

Go on, treat yourself. And you'll get a nice carrier bag too!!

If you buy only one styling product this year, it has to be this one. Maxxed Out comes in a pump action bottle so it cares for the environment as well as your hair. The smell is really great, after all, is there anyone out there who likes the smell of hairsprays in general??
I have used Maxxed Out on wet and dry hair and my fluffy scruffy locks do actually stay in place until I choose to brush it out!
One bottle of this wonderful product retails at just over £10. But don't let that put you off, you use a very small amount and a bottle usually lasts me a year, using it up to 3 or 4 times a week. (Daily users could probably make a bottle last a good 5-6 months.)
Works well with Bed Head Superstar blow drying lotion and Manipulator styling putty too.
