      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A sugary sweet conditioner which leaves the hair softer and gives it extra body

My hair is super frizzy and it can get quite wild so I am always straightening and blow drying it after each time that I wash it. This leaves it looking straight and sleek but often also flat. I need to use products which get a bit of volume in my hair so that it doesn't look lifeless. For this reason I bought the Bed Head Styleshots Epic Volume shampoo and conditioner. This is a review of the conditioner.

      What does the product do?
The product promises to condition the hair leaving it looking healthier and full of life. It has been designed for those with fine hair to give it a boost. It gives the hair plenty of body and claims that it will explode your style from root to tip. Apparently it will defy gravity and take your hair to new heights.

      Packaging and Price
Just like the shampoo, the product is contained within a very pretty hot pink plastic bottle. The bottle has some silver and black bands across the front and on the back there is a bit of extra information about the product. The conditioner has a cloudy coloured lid and the bottle stands on the lid so it looks neat and tidy on display. The flip lid is easy to open and close even when your hands are wet and soapy. There is also a larger bottle available and this comes in a hot pink pump style bottle.

The product isn't cheap, just like all the other TIGI products, and it will cost you around £10 for a 200ml bottle of the conditioner. The larger pump bottle will obviously cost more. The conditoner can be bought from a variety of online websites and also from most good hair salons.

      Aroma and Consistency
In keeping with the TIGI tradition this product smells good enough to eat. It is very sweet and sugary, and it has a delicious strawberry aroma with a touch of creaminess. It smells very much like the strawberry Hubba Bubba bubblegum. It may be too sickly for some but I really like it. It has a very thick consistency and so you will need to use quite a lot of the conditioner before you feel like you have coated the hair properly.

      Application and Performance
As with the shampoo, you do need to get a good amount of this in your hands to work into your damp hair. The smell is evident straight away and remains evident throughout the whole washing process which is lovely for me. It feels like it really working its way into the hair and it feels silky on the hair. It feels completely comfortable on my scalp and hasn't caused me any discomfort or irritations. I leave it to get to work for a few minutes. When it comes to the time for me to rinse out the product it does take a little longer than the average conditioner because of its thick consistency. It's still not a lengthy process though so it's not a negative in my eyes.

My hair is easier to brush even when it is still wet. Once the hair is dry, it is tangle free and I don't have to pull on my hair. Once it is dry, my hair does feel really soft and smooth so it must have a moisturising formula. It looks healthy and it is has a bit more body to it, especially in the roots. It doesn't add the massive volume that the bottle promises but it certainly has a lot more movement and life. It performs much better than the matching shampoo which did rate to highly in my books. It doesn't make my hair frizzy and it leaves it easy to control. That lovely strawberry aroma stays on the hair long after it has dried which makes this a lovely conditioner for the summer.

      Conclusion
Just like the shampoo, the conditioner smells like strawberries and cream, and it is very sugary and sweet. I think it is lovely but it may be too sickly for some. The aroma stays on the hair so you'll need to make sure you like it before you buy it. It leaves my hair tangle free, soft and smooth. It gives the hair a little extra body and movement, although it won't quite reach the promised gravity defying heights. I still like this conditioner though and if I saw it on a special offer then I would happily repurchase.
