A hair softening leave in conditioner which hydrates the hair

My hair is frizzy and out of control which means that I need to blow dry and straighten it each time that I have washed it. This in turn means that my hair is quite dry and damaged, and sometimes my usual conditioner alone doesn't quite cut it. This is why I decided to buy the Tigi Bed Head Superstar Leave In Conditioner to give it a helping hand.

      What does the product do?
The product delivers plenty of promising claiming that it will condition, detangle and volumise your hair all in one go. It says that is will thicken the hair, make it shine and give it body and volume. It should leave your hair soft and in a better condition while making it smell like strawberry yoghurt. Now you can't argue with that.

How do you use the product?
The product is to be applied to hair that has been shampooed and conditioned. It should be sprayed in hair that has been towel dried and then you need to comb the hair through to ensure that the product has been evenly applied. You can then dry and style the hair in the usual way.

      Pakcaging and Price
The product comes contained within a plastic pearly hot pink bottle which is ever so slightly see through bottle so you can see how much of the product you have got left. The bottle is pretty and eye catching, and it looks nice on display in my bathroom. The product is dispensed by pushing down on the top of the white pump and the product has a plastic cap to protect the product. The spray will cost you around £11 for 200ml of the product and it can be bought from most good hairdressers and also from a variety of online websites.

      Application and Performance
The product does have a really strong aroma of strawberries which is quite creamy, really sweet and a tiny bit medicinal. I do like it as I like sweet and fruity aromas but I know it has been a bit off putting to some of my friends. The aroma stays in the hair to which is good for me but might not be so good for the people sitting around me. It is easy to apply and the pump is easy to push. The product comes out as a short burst of spray and I spray the bottle several times to cover my long hair. My hair is easy to brush through, dry and style after use.

Once my hair is dry, it does feel soft and in a slightly better condition. It is less frizzy and easy to brush through. It looks marginally thicker but it's nothing to write home about and I would say that if you were buying it simply for volumising purposes, you'll be disappointed! It does make my hair shine a little bit and smell like strawberries. It would probably be a nice product for holidays too when your hair is dry and it is also quite a summery smell.

      Conclusion
All in all, this is a nice leave in conditioner which gives your hair a bit of extra hydration and leaves it soft and shinier. It doesn't do hardly anything volume wise so if this is the reason that you bought the product, you'll be disappointed. It also has a strong aroma so you should check if you like it before buying the product.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A great hair product overall and it last ages so it is really worth the money!

I love trying out different hair conditioners and treatments and spend quite a bit of time browsing through Sally's Salon Services. I love Tigi Bed head products and have loads of them at home, I am always looking for products that make my hair shiny and add volume as even though my hair is quite thick, it just lacks a certain 'oomph' quality I would like it to have.

      Smell
One of the most important things for me when using a product like this is the smell, if it doesn't smell good I am not likely to ever use it as it takes away from the whole 'pampering' experience of doing your hair nicely. This product smells gorgeous, there is a kind of strawberry sweet smell that comes from it that is lovely (it kind of reminds me a bit of Calpol). The smell however isn't very strong and doesn't really linger for too long in my hair, I normally stop smelling it after I have finished drying off my hair.

      Application
This is very easy to apply, you simply wash your hair as usual and then spray a little bit onto your hair and comb it through, and there is no need to wash it out so it is a bit of a time-saver too. It is really important however not to use too much of this conditioner as it can leave your hair really greasy and give it a sticky feeling if there is too much in your hair.

      Results
I am really pleased with the results that this leave in conditioner gives, my hair feels really soft and is much more easily styled when I have used this conditioner. Also my hair looks really healthy after I have used this conditioner.
My hair still feels quite light after using this conditioner, the product doesn't really seem to weight my hair down and there is some extra volume in it, and its way easier to style volume into my hair after using this conditioner.
I have a few times over sprayed this conditioner into my hair and ended up with greasy and sticky hair that needed re-washed immediately, but as long as I am moderate with my usage, I always get great results from this product.

      Price
I bought Tigi Bed Head Superstar Volumizing Leave -In Conditioner for £9.99 in Salon Services, I think this was quite a good price because it is a great product and has lasted me 4 months already (using it twice a week) and is about half empty, though I am sure that if you have a browse on the internet I am sure you could get it for much cheaper.

      Overall
Overall I think that this is a great product, it looks expensive, but it has lasted me ages so far and I use it at least twice a week which makes it fantastic value, especially for the great results it gives to your hair. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to add a little volume to their hair. Overall I would give this product 5 out of 5 stars.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A worthwhile product, great results and leaves a healthy shine.

Although the Tigi Bed Head Superstar Leave-In Conditioner is said to volumise your hair I use it on a regular basis. I often use it to breath life into my hair and give it more natural shine without having to wash it. For example, if I get a shower in the morning and wish to go out that evening then I will just spray in this conditioner before I go out and it will revitilise my hair and give the natural shine it has when I wash it. The handy pump-action spray bottle is perfect for quick operation and I just give my hair a quick application before I comb my hair. The conditioner obviously conditions my hair, and as it is a leave-in product I don't have to wash it out of my hair like I do with a normal conditioner.

The label on the back of the bottle states that it is intended to add volume to your hair aswell as giving it some hold. The instructions for use suggest its application to towel-dry hair and to comb it through to the ends before styling to the desired look. The light hold this product offers is ideal for me, as I don't use any hair styling products usually for everyday wear. Obviously the bottle also advises you to use the leave-in conditioner with other Bed Head products, which is just a way of promoting their range.

My hair does appear to have a healthier shine to it after application, and I am used to a routine of using the conditioner when I simply don't have the time to rinse my hair! The conditioner also detangles which is useful for when I am styling my hair using my comb. I do have short hair, which could be the reason why I don't notice it adding volume or body. If you have coloured hair then it may also appeal to you, as it claims to help prolong the life of your colour and provide UV protection.

As this product adds shine to my hair and is so simple to apply I have to score it highly. Unfortunately, it must lose one star as it does come with a pricetag of around the £6 mark, which I think is very pricey for a 200ml can. I think that the girly colour that the leave-in conditioner comes in is correct, as these types of products are always more popular with women than men but i still enjoy using it. The final selling point for me is the scent that the conditioner has. Smelling of strawberry yoghurt might not earn much respect for the man going to the pub for a few pints, but it sure does the trick at keeping my hair looking and feeling great.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A premium priced leave in conditioner, which will leave hair soft shiny and smooth

Not only does my hairdresser benefit from my custom for haircuts and colours, he also knows I'm a addicted to buying hair care products. Almost every time I come back from the hairdressers I also return with a new product. Keeping my hair in excellent condition, as I subject my hair to a great deal of heat styling is a priority. The latest product that was suggested to me to help combat the effects of this was Tigi Bed Head Superstar Leave-in-Conditioner.

        ***Packaging***
The Tigi Bedhead Superstar Conditioner comes in a 200ml bright pink plastic bottle with all text written in silver and black. There is a clear plastic spray top on top of the bottle. Like most of the Tigi products, the bottle is very attractive, another part of the reason that I was drawn to this product.

The claims on the packaging are that this product "conditions, detangles, adds volume and gives light styling hold". The bottle also states that this is a conditioner that contains a protein complex which repairs and adds moisture which adds UV and colour protection.

        ***Price and Availability***
I purchased this from my hairdresser and paid £11.50 for a 200ml bottle. This is quite an expensive product in comparison to other leave in conditioners but it is a "salon quality" product which generally means a premium price tag.

I have looked online and a number of hair care retailers such as www.cheapsmells.co.uk and www.fragranceonline.co.uk are selling this for £7.

        ***Application***
I use the Superstar leave in conditioner after I have used shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The directions for use on the bottle are "Spray in damp hair and comb through. Follow with other Superstar products to style and finish your award winning look."

To apply to hair you simply press down on the spray nozzle and the conditioner is dispensed. This is not quite a mist like many other leave in conditioners it does feel quite thick. You do not need a lot of the product, I have very thick hair which is long (half way down my back) and I use 5 sprays of this all over my hair. When applying to my hair I do feel the leave in conditioner feels quite wet but not sticky which helps it to be distributed through your hair.

The scent of the Superstar Leave in Conditioner is lovely. This is a sweet scent but quite fruity, not as sweet and sickly as some of the other products from the Tigi range. Once applied the scent of the leave in conditioner is apparent and is more dominant than my usual shampoo and conditioner.

        ***Results***
When drying my hair after using this product, my hair did feel slightly heavy and took a little longer to dry. Once dried my hair did look in very good condition. My hair is currently quite dry, yet after using this product it had the feel of when it was in better condition. The appearance of my hair my smooth and it had a very definite shine to it, yet had a lot of volume but no frizz. The feel of my hair was also very nice; it had a very soft smooth feel to it. I also felt after using this conditioner my hair is a lot easier to style. I have a side fringe which on some occasions is prone to frizz however after using this conditioner it looks full and smooth, therefore I feel that this product lives up to the claims of giving light styling hold as I do not need to use any further products on it.

After washing my hair in the morning and using this product my hair does stay clean all day. However I do feel that it makes my hair greasier quicker and by the end of the evening my hair does seem slightly limp and in need of a wash the following morning.

        ***Overall***
I think this is a great leave in conditioner which leaves hair soft, silky and glossy looking without any frizz, if you have quite dry hair. My hair currently isn't in the best of condition and is very dry and the Superstar Leave in conditioner leaves it glossy and shiny looking. However when I use this product my hair does need washing more often at the end of the day my hair looks quite limp.

A great investment for dry hair types for Superstar hair, but for those with more normal to greasy hair types, this superstar may inject just a little too much moisture.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        My First Ever Leave-In Conditioner.

Bedhead products going up the the 'top category' really couldnt have come at a better time for me because it is only recently that Ive started using a few products from the range. This range was recommended to me by my hairdresser just before Christmas when I had my hair re-styled and mentioned that I wanted to start using better products to try and keep my hair in its great (at the time!) condition and as she recommended this range it was the first one I tried. Shockingly before I bought this I had NEVER used a leave-in conditioner before, to be honest Id read so many bad reviews from various brands that it put me off really even though I thought it was a really good idea. But as Id tried other TIGI products and loved them I decided to bite the bullet and buy this 'Bedhead Leave-In Conditioner' as an impulse purchase really and now I dont now how I ever did without it - I simply LOVE this product, Bedhead have done it again!

        Useful Information:
Price: - Varies greatly so shop around!! Anything from £5 - £12 so you could get a real bargain here.
Stockists: Most hair salons, the TIGI website & amazon.
Other Info: This product is said to condition, add volume, detangle your locks & add a slight shine and hold. You leave it in all the time so your hair stays in fabulous condition and feels great all day long.

This product is suitable for all hair types and lengths. Although personally Id recommend it to people who have quite damaged hair/long hair - from straigheners etc - because thats the hair type I have and it really couldnt work any better for me. Any hair type should try it though!!

        - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This product comes in a 200ml metallic pink plastic bottle with a push down nozzle at the top - be warned though this doesnt come out as a spray it sort of how you would spray a perfume so be careful when it comes to applying. On the front and back of the bottle is the name and all the other information about the product - ingredients, shelf life, directions for use etc so any questions you have about this product should be answered on the bottle. Over the top of the nozzle is a small plastic cap which Ive found to be very secure when carrying this around (I use it in my hair after the gym) so if your are transporting this it should spray out in your handbag because the top is very safe. The packaging is in very Bedhead style and I love it - it is very simple yet it looks great on my haircare shelf - yes I have a whole shelf devoted to these products now hehe.

        - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Now I dont normally add ingredients to my reviews but with this kind of product I think its best to know what your getting because some of the ingredients are directly related to the results so...-

        - Polyquaternium-11 - Provides hold & body without build up. Also adds shine & controls frizz
        - Dimethicone - Provides gloss & anti-frizz qualities to the hair.
        - Gafquat - Gives light hold.
        - Benzophenone-4 - Helps provide protection from sun
        - Vitamin E - Helps to protect hair from environmental damage
        - Panthenol - Adds volume, body & shine
        - Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein - A unique protein complex thatmoisturises hair and helps repair damage.
        - Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein - Conditions & strengthens
        - Propylene Glycol/Butyl Glycol- Moisturises & conditions.

Those were taken from the amazon website! Basically your getting everything your hair could ever need from this one product - added protection against sun/cold, added shine, extra moisture, extra strength, added shine, frizz prevention, added volume and so much more - reading those alone was more than enough to make me buy this!

        - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Using this product is actually very simple - You simply wash your hair as normal (it doesnt say whether to use proper conditioner or not if your using this but I do always and Ive never had a problem) and wait until it is half dry then spray this all over your hair - holding it a safe distance away otherwise you will get greasy locks - then simply comb/brush it through right to the ends to make sure all your hair is equally covered from root to tip. DONT apply this to dry hair because it will become greasy and you will have the opposite results - rather than being shiny and managable it will be greasy and knotty so dont bother trying it that way! As with most haircare products less is more in this case - use a good amount but not loads because again your hair will end up greasy rather than in better condition. Then you can simply finish drying it and styling it as normal and then you should be left with amazing hair - both looking and feeling.

Another thing to mention about this product is that it smells AMAZING! All of the Bedhead range smell great but I think this one has to be my favourite as the scent is the best and it lasts the longest. Amaozn describe the scent as 'Berry Yoghurt' but in my opinion it smells much more like strawberry than anything else - but I guess that is a berry so overall the scent is pretty spot on. It smells amazingly fruity and sweet on my hair but not overpowering at all and it lasts for literally at least a day on my hair - which isnt usual for me as Im a smoker - so my hair smells amazing for ages, thats what I call staying power!

        - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

And the best thing is...this actually does everything it promises. My hair is so much softer and much more managable and easier to style after using this and that feeling lasts until the next time I chose to wash my hair - oh using this product doesnt mean you will have to wash your hair more regularly either! My hair definitely has added shine and some added volume after using this - I do use it alongside other specially designed 'volume' products though so I cant comment as much on that aspect. Since Ive been using this I have certainly noticed long-term results on my hair - my split ends seem to be looking and feeling less like straw and my hair simply looks and feels better overall - even in this harsh cold weather - I cant wait to use this in the Summer and see if the results against that type of weather are just as good. The results of this on my hair have been amazing and are only getting more noticable the longer I keep using it so I hope I will continue for many years to come. My first experience with a leave-in conditioner was a brilliant one Im happy to say. Couldnt recommend this more! Everyone should try this out regardless of hair type or length.

        Thanks For Reading.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Gave my hair an uneven, sticky texture and didn't condition at all.

I've used many 'Bed Head' products before, including Dumb Blonde and Brunette Goddess conditioner and shampoo and After Party styling cream, I was very impressed by them products so I recently decided to invest in this Superstar leave in conditioner, purely due to the fact that my hair had became quite dry and damaged from straightening and drying. I paid around £7 for this product from Amazon. Initially, the appearance of the product is a vivid pink and the conditioner itself is dispensed using a pump spray, the conditioner has a very chic and urban feel to it and looks relatively stylish in my room. However, like they say, never judge a book by it's cover, I wasn't too impressed with this spray. I applied it after washing my hair, whilst my hair was still damp, I did about 3 squirts of it into my hair even distributing the spray over my hair. The spray has a very fresh, sweet fragrance which I was impressed by. After drying my hair, my hair had quite a sticky, rough texture from the product; and the spray didn't really condition my hair, there wasn't any noticable results. Despite the attractive packaging and gorgeous smell, the spray itself didn't personally deliver. I have quite curly, wavy hair and it just didn't suit my hair at all. Won't be purchasing in the near future, 3 stars.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Lovely leave in conditioner that smells nice and gives body.

My boyfriend bought me this from his sisters salon at christmas and i love it!

I have never used a leave in conditioner before, but i have fine flat hair that is bleached blonde so is in need of tlc regularly. I tend to stay away from products whenever i can as my hair gets greasy quickly.

The conditioner doesn't squirt out of the bottle very well, it sort of shoots and lands in splats on your head, therefore i have been squirting a few pumps into my palms, and working the conditioner through my lengths with my fingers. I also rub a bit into the roots and this doesn't make my hair greasy at all. My hair holds well when using velcro rollers for volume after blowdrying when i have used this conditioner, without my hair feeling sticky.

The smell is absolutely gorgeous, very sweet, fruity and sort of bubblegum like, i would think that some people may think the smell is too sickly but i knew what to expect after having this and other superstar products used on my hair at the hairdressers. The smell stays in my hair all day and people often comment on it!

I think you can pick this up for under £7 online, and for a bottle this size i think it is well worth the money.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Love this!

This is the best leave in conditioner i have ever come accross. As i dye my hair, blow dry and use straightners every day my hair gets very dry but if i don't wash my hair every day it is greasy. I thought this would leave my hair greasy but it just hydrates, gives shine and softens your hair. My hair looks very healthy with this leave in conditioner!

You can either use it as a every day conditioner or you can leave it in for a while then wash it off. Both work to help fix your hair! I really like it and it only costs about £6, again it does vary on price at different places. It lasts for a long will too and is very useful as it detangles your hair but also gives volume at the same time. This conditioner doesn't irritate my scalp.

When i use this conditioner it feels like i haven't got enough on my hair when putting it on but the results when you have dried your hair shows clearly that you only need a little on your hair.

It smells gorgeous just like the shampoo, i wouldn't reccomend to be people with greasy hair, this is for people in need of mouisture for their hair!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          A definite hair investment

I normally tend to avoid leave in conditioners like the plague, purely because although my hair gets quite dry (highlights and straighteners), they only ever seem to weigh it down and make it greasy.

A friend recommended the Bed Head Superstar range to me, and I bought a set which included this conditioner (the conditioner itself can be bought cheaper from ebay, price varying between £4-7 roughly, rather than through salons).

It comes in a 200ml pump action spray bottle, and claims to "Pump up your hair!" whilst conditioning, detangling etc.

As it is a leave-in conditioner, you can really use it on wet or dry hair. I have done both.

When sprayed, the product is quite thick for a leave in, so I actually find that it is better to spray it onto your hands and work it through. This will give you a much more even distribution and better results from it.
I was surprised by the smell the first time I used it; it is incredibly sickly sweet. Although I found it a bit much at first, it is actually quite nice and it means that your hair holds the smell throughout the day.

I like to have 'big' hair, and because my hair is dead straight and quite long, products usually tend to weigh it down.
However this product is fantastic because I can condition my hair, but it doesn't weigh it down OR make it greasy. You can go right on ahead and use hairspray on top of it, and it will still hold - brilliant!

If you've struggled finding a suitable leave-in for fine hair that gets dry, you should really give it a try.
It is the only one I will be buying from now on.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Highly recommended

          **** Introduction ****

I have recently had my hair foil highlighted, which is all good but the stylist used bleach to get the lightest blonde possible so now it is very soft to touch, but in really delicate condition so over the next few months I am really going to have to take more care of it.

While I got my hair coloured the salon had a buy two for the price of three on the Tigi bed head products, so i took full advantage and purchased three assorted items.

With my hair being newly bleached and the summer sun looming, I opted for the tigi bed head leave in conditioner as this would really benefit me and help condition me hair.

**** The Tigi Bed Head Leave In Conditioner ****

This comes in a bright pink 20mml plastic bottle, with a pump action spray top to make applying the product very easy indeed.

To apply this it is best to pre wash your hair and spray it in to your hair accordingly, I then comb through the product before styling with the hairdryer and straighteners.

After my hair has been styled it looks and feels very soft a shiny, so I have no doubt that this really conditions and repairs the hair to a certain extent.

I smells very fruity when you first apply it but this soon wears off during the day, which is a shame as it really does smell good enough to eat.

This is ideal as it can be used on any hair type, I have found it to be very good as I can take the bottle to the gym and after washing with just shampoo I find this product good enough to be used as a conditioner alone.

This usually costs £9.45 a bottle from the hairdressers, but as I said I got three products for the price of two so it worked out slightly cheaper.

          **** My Views ****

I am really happy with this as it has made a real difference to my hairs texture and appearance without the need for using separate shampoos and conditioners.

As I am really lazy with my hair, but i love the out of salon look this has worked well and helps my hair fit into my lifestyle, so all in all it gets the thumbs up from me.

I would recommend this for anyone who is lazy with their hair, or anyone who is going on holiday as it saves using conditioner.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

fabulous if you have long hair as it manages tangles amazingly well

This is a fab product, and ideal if you are going on holiday to leave in your hair on the beach etc. It costs around £8.00 for a 200ml bottle, which sounds a lot, but because its a spray it does last a long time and its probably not something you would use every day. I bought it because I was going on holiday and my hair always beocmes dry and tangled from the beach and is a nightmare to comb through. With this you can either use it in two ways. Spray into dry hair, and comb into a ponytail if on the beach to protect hair. Or use after washing hair and apply to towel dried hair then style as usual and this will leave hair manageable, sleek and extremely shiny. I would really recomment this product especially if you have long hair, as this is a life saver... no more tangles. You can buy this from most stores such as boots, superdrug, but also a lot of hairdressers stock this.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            leave it in

Tigi by now if you have read my reviews previously i am a huge fan of Tigi Bedhead and it is fantastic as you have a different product for every hair style that you desire.

Tigi Superstar Leave in Conditioner is another great product in the Superstar range and you are recommend to use with the rest of the superstar range, but i do not as i am a fan of the dumb blonde range, but when it comes to the leave in conditioner this is a great product that when you in a rush is the first thing that i grab.

You spray into your hair after you have washed and towel dried it for the best results. Superstar leave in conditioner helps to detangle and condition your hair whilst also giving it a little volume.

This is great for someone who is on the go or is in a rush in the morning getting ready for work as you few sprays of superstar and it detangles saving you time trying to get a brush through your hair, whilst conditioning it and saving you hair from split ends leaving it smooth and soft to touch.

This product is great the only one disadvantage is that it has a very sweet strawberry smell, which is a lot stronger than some of the other tigi products.

Like all Tigi products it is a little on the pricey side at around £10, although can be found a lot cheaper if you shop around online, but for the work that it does it is worth every penny and with great results to, give it a try you will not be dissappointed. My hairdresser uses this product too and highly recommends it as well.
