I have used quite a few TIGI haircare products and have always been impressed with the results so when my hair felt dry and in poor condition a few months back I looked to their range for a quick fix. I came across this hydrating shampoo and it caught my eye as it is packaged slightly differently to other TIGI shampoos.
The shampoo comes in a foil tube rather than the usual plastic pump bottle. This is a light metallic pink in colour and the shampoo is simply squeezed out of the bottom. The shampoo is a blend of rose hips and ginseng extracts, wheat protein and amino acids. It is a cloudy white in colour and it smells really fresh - almost minty.
The shampoo itself lathers really well and leaves my hair feeling fresh and clean. Used in conjunction with the conditioner from this range, my hair did feel hydrated and in better condition. I also only required a small dollop of shampoo to wash my thick, shoulder length hair, so the tube lasted several weeks. I paid £12 for a bottle, which is quite a lot, but prices vary online so it is worth shopping around.
It is quite good value for money, based on how long a tube lasts and the results it gives. My hair also remained smelling sweet and fresh between washes and looked (and felt) in much better condition. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with dry hair looking for some nourishment.
My cupboards are packed with hair products. Because my hair has been a variety of colours and endured a lot of heat styling I'm always keen to look after it hence purchasing specific products to suit its needs. Currently my hair is back to brown with blonde highlights through it (after being dyed red) but because of the amount of hair dye and bleach used on my hair it does feel a bit dry. My hairdresser suggested I try Tigi Catwalk Headshot Heavenly Hydrating Shampoo to help get it back to its usual shiny, soft condition.
The Heavenly Hydrating Shampoo comes in a bottom down tube. The tube is a pretty metallic pink colour with a clear screw off lid on the bottom of the tube. The logo and product name is written in a bright blue colour. The contrast between the pink and the blue is quite apparent so this looks a very stylish bottle displayed in your bathroom.
The tube is easy to squeeze meaning shampoo is dispensed easily. The shampoo does not come out too fast but you do need to take care that you do not squeeze too hard or you will end up with too much product in your hand. I find that the bottom down design of the tube and the supple tube means that when you do not have much product left it is easy to dispense the last few drops of the shampoo meaning less wastage.
The description and claims on the packaging are :
"With a mixed formula of rose hips and ginseng extracts, wheat protein and amino acids, it will replenish moisture and hydrate your hair from roots to tips. This blend of natural nutrition keeps hair looking healthy, shiny and feeling fabulous with natural comfort smell."
This sounded perfect for my needs and the stylish packaging was an added benefit as it looked great displayed on my bathroom shelves.
***Price and Availability***
I paid £8 for a 250ml tube of the Tigi Heavenly Hydrating Shampoo from my hairdresser. Prices online vary for this shampoo ranging from £12 to £6 on ebay and online hair care stores.
At £8 per 250ml tube this is a more expensive shampoo, even for salon quality products this is at the higher end of the price scale.
The directions for use on the packaging are to "wet hair thoroughly and apply the shampoo and lather your hair. Massage until the lather covers all of the hair and wash out with warm water. "
When the Heavenly Hydrating Shampoo is dispensed from the bottle it comes out as a clearly pearly looking gel. I think this is quite a thick consistency for a shampoo but the benefits of it being thick are you do not need a lot of product, which is an advantage is this is quite an expensive shampoo. I have very thick long hair (which reaches about half way down my back) and I require about a 50p size blob of shampoo.
The shampoo lathers very easily although because it is quite a thick consistency you do initially need to massage it into your hair quite firmly to ensure that it spreads over your hair. The lather produced is quite an amount considering you do not need a lot of shampoo.
What I really liked about the Heavenly Headshot Shampoo is the scent of the shampoo. Immedaitely as you dispense the shampoo you can smell a very sweet type scent. Although the shampoo is contains rose hips it does not have a floral scent. The scent is more sweet and strong but not too sickly. The scent is quite apparent when you are applying this to your hair and once rinsed from your hair the sweet scent is still apparent on your hair.
After applying this shampoo and rinsing, not only was my hair left with a pleasant scent but was left with a smooth feel to it without being sticky or greasy feeling. I always apply conditioner after shampooing but before applying my conditioner I did feel that this shampoo left my hair with a clean yet soft feeling even when wet.
I have used the Heavenly Hydrating Shampoo on its own and alongside the accompanying Tigi Conditioner and have been very impressed with the results. I would say the results are emphasised when using the conditioner.
Once I had finished washing and conditioning my hair after using the Heavenly Hydrating Shampoo I towel dried it and you could quite distinctly smell the sweet scent of the conditioner. Although quite sweet and strong smelling it did not have a sickly scent or too overpowering. The feel of my hair was smooth but not at all greasy or sticky or feel that there was any product left in my hair.
I dried my hair with a hair dryer as I usually would and during drying I could feel the effects of this shampoo. My hair (which was in quite a dry rough condition) felt very smooth and soft. Once it was completely dry my hair felt very clean and had a very shiny sleek look to it.
My hair felt shiny but not overly greasy and had a softness, but not so soft that it became fly away which I sometimes find happens with hair products. I washed my hair in the morning and it still was clean the same evening and although shiny did not look greasy. The scent of the shampoo was quite apparent on my hair and I could still smell it in my hair very subtly in the evening after washing my hair.
I did find that my hair felt a lot more shiny and subtle and had added moisture to it. I would therefore feel that this is great for those with dry to normal hair, but those with more greasy hair types may feel this adds a little too much moisture.
The Tigi Catwalk Headshot Heavenly Hydrating Shampoo is a great shampoo which leaves hair soft, shiny and glossy looking with a lovely long lasting sweet scent to it. It is an effective shampoo for those with dry to normal hair types and it definitely leaves hair in a "catwalk" ready condition.
However this does come at a price and the £8 price tag may be off putting for some even if the results are of a salon quality.
This shampoo is my absoloute favourite. I have tried every Tigi shampoo for blonde/damaged/bleached/chemically treated hair and this is my favourite by far.
This shampoo (and conditioner) changed my hair for the better and I will never look back. My hair is long, fine, bleached, and straightened daily.. so as you can imagine it is difficult to keep it looking good all the time due to split ends and frazzledness! This shampoo is what I needed to keep my hair looking & smelling good 24/7. I have received many compliments since using this shampoo as to how healthy my hair looks. It even makes it feel thicker.
It can be pricey if you buy it from a salon. I purchase mine from ebay for around £20 for the shampoo & conditioner tween set both 750ml with pumps which is a bargain and last a couple of months (or longer if you don't wash your hair daily)
It smells gorgeous, a little like mint toffee sweets, although it is difficult to say exactly what it smells like as it is quite unique. Its quite a thick consistency, not a runny one which wont lather! So you do not need to use much per wash.
This shampoo is for damaged, treated or un happy hair.. So I thought maybe my hair would become greasey quite quickly. I couldn't have been more wrong. This shampoo keeps my hair clean for 2 full days, when most shampoos usually just about manage one with my hair.
It contains wheat protein, amino acids, rose hips, gensing & aloe which repair and moisturise your hair leaving it feeling fabulously soft, smooth, controlable, healthy. Shiney and smelling fantastic.
It's not just A shampoo.. in my opinion it is THE shampoo. Especially if your hair is in need of a little love. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone.
When it comes to shampoo, I'm amazingly easily lead. Having almost untameable hair I need all the help I can get. As soon as I see an advert offering 'sleek, manageable hair' my first thought is 'Where do I sign?!' this always ends up in me having yet another half used bottle of shampoo in my bathroom cupboard. When I came across Tigi's Catwalk 'Headshot' Shampoo, despite the price and despite thinking it would end up unused and unloved like the rest of my shampoos - I handed over my money and waiting for it to be posted through my door..
The Tigi haircare range is a much loved brand worldwide but the creators of the line were the British stylists Toni & Guy. - Got to feel a little pang of Brit-Pride there!
The Catwalk range is designed to keep your hair strong, glossy and most importantly completely managable. All the products in the range should cleanse and condition your lovely locks to keep them looking picture perfect every day - Almost fit for the Catwalk!
Tigi Headshot Shampoo uses a blend of rose hips and ginseng with wheat protein and amino acids to keep your locks looking and feeling fabulous. They promise that the 'heavenly formula will replenish moisture and shine' - and I have to say they totally deliever on this.
The product itself is a quite thick, and almost a pearly white kind of colour. It lathers up amazingly well when you're massaging it into your hair - I find a 50p sized squirt is more than enough to cover my stupidly thick locks! It washes off easily in the bath leaving hardly any bubbles like you get some some other shampoos.
This product has changed my hair completely. For a change a product actually did what it promised. After a few months of using Tigi's Headshot my hair has changed from a thick frizzy mess into amazingly sleek and shiney tresses. Also, the smell of this shampoo is fantastic - like the rock you get from the seaside. Yum! I always used to think people who spent £10+ on a 750ml bottle of shampoo were completely silly, but I have to say I'm now a very happy customer. This shampoo has done more to my hair in a few months than any drug store brand did in a life time. Thank you Tigi!
Tigi Catwalk Headshot comes in two sizes, a 250ml tube or a 750ml bottle. They also do Duo sets, which is typically 2 750ml bottles of both Shampoo and Conditioner.
Tigi Catwalk Headshot Shampoo prices can differ massively depending where you buy. I've seen Salons charging £6+ for the 250ml bottle but with online discount stores you can snap it up for a little as £3.90.
Mmmm delicious and good enough to eat!
I received this as a gift - a HUGE 750ml bottle of shampoo and the matching conditioner - lucky me!
So the gift was a thank you and my best friend uses this product so she thought my lightened hair could use some heavenly hydration... yes please.
consulting the delivery note tells me it cost her £15 - bargain!
the bottles are enormous and heavy so make sure you have somewhere safe to put them in your bathroom, the last thing you need is to drop one on your toe. the bottles have a sturdy pump to dispense the product - it looks like i have the professional size. the pump gives a consistent size (about 5p) so i use 2 pumps of shampoo and 1 of conditioner for my past shoulder length hair. the smell is utterly divine. minty toffee is the closest i can get to a description for you. it makes the whole bathroom smell wonderful and the fragrance lasts most of the day.
the shampoo lather is quick to become rich and dense, easily coating my hair, it rinses fully easily.
i only use the conditioner on the last few inches of my hair as it is very rich. the instructions say it can be used daily or left on for a few mins to create a mask. no need for a mask on my hair.
once the conditioner is rinsed out hair feels squeaky clean and tangle free.
combing after washing is easy (no knots) hair feels re constructed and healthy.
blow drying takes a little longer due to the additional moisturisation, but hair is manageable, sleek & smoothed.
i recommend this to anyone with poorly hair. this will add masses of moisturisation and leave you feeling luxed out.
the conditioner is very rich so i would not recommend for regular use for people with normal/greasy hair
Six months later I still have about 1/6 of the bottle left... that is great value!
What made me try this hydrating shampoo.
I have been bleaching my hair for many years now and after a recent trip to the hairdressers, a new stylist took it upon her self to bleach the hell out of my hair. Making it very dry, brittle and stretchy which later resulted in it snapping off from the roots when I washed it.
The only real option I had was to get it cut off and start all over again, but I have always had a bit of length to my hair so this was not an option for me, so i decided to take care of my hair in the best way I could.
After researching for what seemed like days I found this Tigi Head shot hydrating shampoo and decided to give it a try.
This shampoo is made by the popular hairdressing brand Tigi, it is from thier catwalk range and is used for lightened hair that is very dry and damaged. As my hair was both dry and damaged I thought it was worth a try.
This instantly adds moisture and shine to dull lifeless hair and I have to say it does exactly as it says on the bottle, after a few washes with this my hair started to look and feel much healthier.
The shampoo comes in a light purple squeezable tube, which contains 150mls of product and with the tubes design you can get out every last drop of shampoo as it can be stood up on end.
You can expect to pay £7.95 for this bottle of shampoo and it can be bought from certain hairdressers, however I bought mine from amazon and got it slightly cheaper.
Although this will never repair my hair it has helped make it managable, without it splitting and breaking further, so this really has helped as far as I am concerned.
This is a little bit pricey but it is money well spent as it has saved me having to get my hair cut off.
I recommend this to anyone with dry brittle hair as it will certainly help, but if you are prone to greasy hair this may not be an option as it does put moisture into your hair and will therefore leave it greasy very quickly.
Most shampoos always smell of fruits such as strawberries or mango but this one was different. It had a gorgeous mint smell and looked great! It last me just over 2 months applying it every 2 or 3 days.
It nourishes your hair and doesn't strip it of any nutrients unlike alot of products you get these days. It's a great hair repair product and the smell lasts long too.
You don't need to use it alot to make your hair shine and really works wonders if you use it along with it's conditioner too. Great for teens, or adults; especially for dried out or brittle hair.
I loved this product although it is a bit pricey. I think it's a great treat or gift and in some salons even comes with a free TIGI eyeliner worth £10 which is a bargain! It's great for christmas, birthdays or just a thankyou present.
I have very long hair which is really awkward to look after!! Its thick, but fine, the roots get greasy very quickly but the ends are dry. Plus - I dye it black all over and bleach some bits to dye bright pink!! So my hair takes a lot of battering, and I have to choose my products carefully.
Tigi is a salon quality brand of shampoo's which ultimately mean they come with a salon price tag too. Money being tight I normally stick to whatever's on offer in Tesco's but when I saw this on offer I couldn't resist.
I bought a massive 750ml bottle for £5.50, which rivals even the supermarket brand shampoos. It comes in a candy pink bottle with a pump on the top for dispensing the shampoo - handy as you dont have to fiddle around with closing a lid whilst trying not to spill the shampoo out of your had!! The shampoo is white and creamy in texture.
The bottle states that the shampoo will replenish moisture and shine through its blend of rose hips, ginseng extracts wheat protein and amino acids. It also recommends to use in conjuction with the matching conditioner for best results (I have the conditioner, and I agree you do get better results).
The shampoo has a lovely smell, to me it smells like seaside rock! (I would advise against tasting it though!). This smell lingers on your hair all day long, which I have never experienced with a shampoo before. The creme lathers up into lots of creamy bubbles, and you can feel that your hair is much more silky smooth and moisturised even when you are washing the lather off - usually I only get this feeling after I have applied conditioner.
The shampoo did not weigh my hair down or make it feel lank - my hair was very smooth and shiny and smelled gorgeous. I do recommend using the conditioner that goes with it as it seems to further the effects of the shampoo and compliment it perfectly.
Overall I am very pleased with this shampoo and would definitely use it again. It worked wonders on my poor old hair and really gave it a new lease of life!!
I do like to look after my hair, and I do believe that a good quality salon shampoo and conditioner really do help to keep my hair healthy and shiny. I am a big fan of Tigi's Brunette Goddess Shampoo, and use it on a regular basis but I do have a few others I like to try every now and again. However, when I spotted this new shampoo in TJ Hughes on a shopping trip, the smell and price both made me want to grab a bottle and take it home so I did! I used it the next day and as with most of the Tigi shampoos I've used, I wasn't left disappointed!
Tigi is a branch of the Toni and Guy range of products, but these are supposed to be sold exclusively in salons. However, as with most things these days you can find them widely on the internet for much cheaper than their RRP and this has led to the products becoming very popular. They do all sorts of hair care and styling products which look after your hair and leave it smelling absolutely divine too. Tigi have 3 main haircare ranges; BedHead, Catwalk and S-Factor, all of which cater for different hair types and requirements, so there should be something to suit everyone. Although Tigi products are more expensive than other high street brands, you don't need much for great results so a big bottle of this lasts much longer than a cheaper alternative.
This shampoo is called Headshot Heavenly Hydrating Shampoo and is part of the Catwalk range sold by Tigi. It comes in a mirror-shiny pink bottle with the Catwalk logo and product name on the front in a contrasting blue so it's a pretty striking look product. It comes in a bottom-down tube which they usually reserve for their conditioners, but I like this as it sits nicely on the edge of the bath and the product is ready to come straight out of the tube without too much effort being needed. The usage instructions are on the back, along with what to expect from the shampoo but it's all pretty self-explanatory so not something I need to get into here really!
The first thing that struck me about this, and what really prompted me to buy it in the end, was the absolutely divine smell. It smells just like sweets, but for the life of me I can't put my finger on exactly which one. It is incredibly sweet, perhaps sickly if you sniff it for too long but I just love it. The more you lather it up, the stronger the smell gets and I loved how my bathroom smelt afterwards, yum! As with all Tigi shampoos, you don't have to use much at all to get a really good lather going so use it sparingly because otherwise it'll just be wasted. That's what I like about these more expensive shampoos - yes they cost more in the initial outlay but they last a lot longer because you don't need much for them to really work well and therefore it's much more cost efficient!
Rinsing the shampoo out is nice and easy too, it comes out without too much fuss at all and my hair always feels squeaky clean which is great. When I towel dry it, I can still smell the sweetness in the towel and on my hair so the scents in these shampoos really do have a good staying power. After my hair was dry, it really did feel hydrated like the name of the product suggested, and it was lovely and soft and shiny too. I did leave the shampoo on for a few minutes before rinsing and I could feel that afterwards that was the right thing because it really did feel like it had been given a good drink. The nice look lasted all day and even when I brushed my hair in the evening, it still felt freshly washed and moisturised, so I was really pleased with it.
According to the website, the shampoo contains rose hips and ginseng extract which help promote shine and moisture in your hair, and also wheat proteins and amino acids to strengthen and protect your hair. In my opinion, it's a great shampoo and one worth investing in if you're looking for a high quality and decent shampoo. I haven't yet used it with the conditioner so I can't comment on that, but if it's as good as the shampoo then it might be worth trying that too. It really does do what it claims - it cleans, moisturises and make your hair Catwalk perfect! The smell is just divine, very sweet but I can imagine it'd be fine for either women or men to use, nothing wrong with smelling nice after all! It comes highly recommended from me!
I paid £6 for my 200ml tube in TJ Hughes, and I have seen it online for around the same price from Ebay and www.beautycounterdirect.co.uk so if you're interested you can pick it up for a good price.
