I have such unruly hair that I am forever blow drying and straightening it in a bid to get it under some kind of control. I dream of having the naturally sleek and silky hair of others but as I'm not going to get it naturally, I thought try and get it through the means of Tigi Catwalk Mystique Glossing Shampoo instead! What does the product do? The product promises to defrizz the hair leaving it looking sleek and shiny. It using lots of natural ingredients to moisturise and tame the hair to bring it under some sort of control. It also claims that it will strengthen the hair and help to prevent it from becoming damaged. The addition of Japanese Honeysuckle, Lychee and Rice Bran Oil, Tigi promises that this product will bring you the sleek hair that you have always dreamed of. How do you use the product? The product is to be used in the same way as your usual shampoo. It is to be applied to hair that is damp and massaged both into the roots and through the length of the hair. It is then to be rinsed out thoroughly and then followed up by a good conditioner. Packaging and Price The packaging is very eye catching and it's what caught my attention in the first place. The bottle is both black and metallic red and the colours merge at each end. You can get a smaller cylinder bottle with a screw top lid or a larger pump style bottle but each type is each to use. I bought the smaller 300ml bottle for around £11 and it can be bought from most good hairdressers and also from a variety of online websites. Application and Performance The product has quite a thick consistency and it coats the hair really well. It has a strong aroma which is quite common with this ground and it has quite a spicy fragrance with some sweetness. It isn't my favourite aroma in the world but it doesn't put me off the product. This is a good thing really as the aroma is very evident as you apply the product to the hair and for quite a while after you have dried the hair. The product is sulphate free and doesn't build up much of a lather but this doesn't stop me from feeling that it's cleaning my hair well. The product is easy to rinse out of my hair and it doesn't take much time or effort before it's all gone again. My hair is easy to brush through and it doesn't leave my hair being tangled. The shampoo must be really hydrating as my hair feels real soft and smooth. My frizziness is greatly reduced, not to the point where I could go without straightening but I can at least spend less time doing so. My hair looks in a good condition and it gives my hair a really pretty shine. It feels and looks completely clean and it remains so for around 48 hours after use. It doesn't irritate my scalp or cause me any discomfort. Conclusion All in all, this is a really good shampoo for getting your hair under some sort of control. It definitely reduced the frizziness of my hair, made it less fly away and disguising some of my split ends. It made my hair shiny and soft and I would happily buy this product again once it is all gone.
