Advantages: Gives the hair a bit of volume and makes it smell sweet

Disadvantages: It doesn't make a massive difference to the hair

I love TIGI and all of their products. I also love to have volume in my hair and hate it when it falls flat. I was lucky enough to receive the Catwalk Your Highness Root Booster Spray by TIGI for Christmas.

What does the product do?
The product promises to add some texture and lift to your hair giving it more body and movement, and long lasting volume. It also conditions the hair using the natural ingredients of Lavender. Wisteria , Jasmine and Violet to nourish the hair and give it a gorgeous shine. It gives the hair a lift, hydrating it without weighing it down.

How do you use the product?
The product needs to be applied to damp hair. You need to split the hair into different sections and spray the product directly into the roots keeping the can about 30cm away from the scalp. You then dry and style the hair as normal but if you blow dry the hair upside, it will add even more volume.

Packaging and Price
The product comes contained within a black and royal purple tin which is similar to a small can of hairspray. On the can there is some more information about how to use the product. It is has a small lid which you pull off and a dispenser which you push down on to release the product. The can will cost you around £10 and it can be bought from most good hair salons and also from a range of online websites.

Application and Performance
The product comes and of the tin as a fine mist and looks much the same as a hairspray. It smells delicious as you would expect a TIGI product to smell and it has the same lovely blackcurrant fruity aroma as the others in the collection. The can is light and easy to hold. The product comes out of the tin as a continuous mist so you don't want to keep your finger on the dispenser. You can press it down intermittently as you apply the product to the roots. You do need to ensure that you don't get the product through the length of the hair because it doesn't look very good. My hair is easy to dry with the product in my hair and I blow dry it mostly with my head upside down giving the roots a rub.

Once my hair is dry, you can still smell the fruitiness of the product which is a good thing for me. It gives my hair a bit of a lift and a bit more volume. It doesn't make a massive difference to my hair but it does make it look a little bit better. It doesn't make my hair look greasy or sticky, and you can't really feel that the product is there. I can still brush my hair through so it doesn't cause any tangles. It hasn't caused me to develop any irritations or any discomfort. It gives my hair a lift for most of the day but there's no lift left by the second day. I wouldn't say that the product has nourished or improved the condition of my hair but then I am only using it on the roots of my hair so it would be hard to tell!

Conclusion
All in all, this product makes a pleasant difference to my hair, giving it a bit of a natural lift without making my hair greasy or sticky. I wouldn't say the product makes enough of a difference to my hair for me to purchase a bottle once mine has run out but it certainly doesn't do any harm so I will continue to use this one. It makes the hair smell nice and improves it appearance a little bit.

Summary: A root booster which gives the hair a bit more volume and makes it smell lovely
