Well, as I have reviewed the matching shampoo I thought it would be rude not to give you my opinion on the Tigi Love Peace & The Planet Eco Awesome Conditioner. As I bought it as a set it is available for £15-£20 for both the shampoo and conditioner. The set contains two large 750ml bottles. There are smaller sizes available and to give an indication of the value of buying this set I can tell you that a 250ml bottle costs around £6.49, making the set fantastic value for money. I am not usually one for buying matching shampoo and conditioner combinations, but the value for money drew me in and I am not one to turn down a bargain!
The conditioner carries the same Eco credentials as the shampoo. The packaging is 50% recycleable material and the ingredients of the conditioner is also Eco-friendly. The pump-action dispenser is present on the larger bottles and are worth buying instead of the smaller sizes for convenience. The conditioner is said to moisturise your hair and complement the shampoo in its job of nourishing your locks. The conditioner is easy to apply and I only really use conditioner in the bath as I can allow it time to do its work. In a shower I find it pointless as I am only in there for a few minutes on a morning! Algae, white tea leaf and camomile extracts are just some of the ingredients in the conditioner and are there to add moisture and shine. The scent is apparently cranberry, orange and mint and the scent is reasonably subtle.
As with a lot of conditioners this one has quite a thick consistency to it and can take some effort to work it into my hair, even though I have short hair. I always leave it for a few minutes at least, but I leave it as long as possible to allow it to do its job. Unfortunately I must say that I am not completely impressed with the conditioner. The best way to put it is that I find the results not dissimilar to when I am just using the shampoo. I would go as far as saying it is one of the least impressive of the Tigi products i have used, but this is by no means a terrible thing as I rate Tigi highly for their haircare ranges.
Ultimately I would say I won't be buying this set again even though it does seem to offer terrific value. I will however be buying the large bottle of shampoo again for its value, so by no means are Eco haircare products useless!
WHAT IS IT?
An organic conditioner from Tigi.
IS IT ANY GOOD?
It's an excellent conditioner, especially when used after the corresponding Tigi shampoo. It's a rich and fairly intensive conditioner that will moisturise and deknot your hair, this is welcome news as the Eco Awesome shampoo is not very conditioning and makes my hair quite knotted.
You need to apply only a very small amount and massage it through your hair, with this one you definitely need to avoid getting it on your scalp as it makes the roots very greasy if even a drop gets near your skin. I always leave at least two inches clear next to my scalp as this is the only sure fire method of keeping my hair looking fresh and clean without oily roots. If you leave the conditioner on for a few minutes it'll soak into the hair shaft and give it a semi deep conditioning treatment.
It rinses out quickly and leaves no residue in my hair, after rinsing my hair feels silky and looks amazingly healthy. The sweet smell lingers on my hair for hours and is an extremely feminine scent that many people have complimented me on.
Priced at £8 this is quite an expensive conditioner, but unlike the Eco Awesome shampoo I think this is worth the money.
5 Dooyoo Stars.
I bought this to go with the shampoo. It cost me £8 for a 250ml bottle. You can also get larger pump action bottles from Amazon and salons.
The conditioner comes in a tube which is made from 50% recycled material and the conditioner contains 80% organic ingredients.
The conditioner is designed to provide moisture and shine to dry or damaged hair. The conditioner will also fight humidity and nourish, repair and protect your hair. The formula is paraben free, it also contains no artificial colours.
For best results it is recommended that you use the conditioner after the Eco Awesome shampoo. The conditioner was a little thinner than I expected. The bottle describes the conditioning factor as moderate so I wasn't expecting it to be as thick as a mask in fact it was very runny. The conditioner has the same scent as the shampoo, cherry, orange and mint. Again it is more fruity than minty and the smell is really nice. I left the conditioner in for a minute or so even though it doesn't recommend that on the bottle.
The conditioner rinsed away easily and after use my hair was easy to comb and there weren't any tangles.
After using the shampoo and conditioner together my hair felt really nice, it was shiny and looked smooth and sleek.
I would recommend this conditioner with the shampoo, however I wouldn't say it is the best in the range for really dry hair. 4 out fo 5 from me as it needs a bit more conditioning power.
I'm not really convinced that this product justifies the £10 price tag for a 750ml bottle that comes with it (smaller sizes work out more expensive, on Amazon they have a 250ml bottle for £6.49) . It earns its green credentials from the fact that 50% of the packaging is from recycled materials and 80% of the ingredients are organic so if you want to feel like you are buying a product that is less harmful to the planet then you may want to buy this but for me that is all well and good but I want a good product at the same time and I find the results from this conditioner to be a bit average.
It is supposed to moisturise your hair and the olive oil along with the white tea leaf that it contains seems to do a reasonably good job of doing this as my hair is very manageable after using this and it certainly is kind to my scalp.
It is a thick conditioner and I found it takes a bit of effort to massage it into my hair and then you are recommended to leave it in for a few minutes for it to work effectively. It does not have a very pleasant smell, quite clinical and certainly not an attractive fragrance. I would not say that the results are overly impressive, my hair is not as shiny after using this conditioner compared with other products I have used from Tigi.
Overall this is not a product I will return to despite its green credentials, it does not have enough of a wow factor for me.
Over the past few months I have become, some what obsessed with Tigi products, turning my back on Lush and the body shop items I feel like a betrayer a little because I have completey gone to the Tigi side. I first saw this in store at TKMaxx, usually I just have a quick browse in the one in Grimsby because it's just messy and I don't like routing through loads of items, but they do have a lot of cosmetic and bath and body items which I never noticed before, I saw a big tack of Tigi items and I started smelling them all! I decided to come away with the 'Tigi Love Peace & The Planet Eco Awesome Conditioner' and a few other products, this at the time was RRP £12.99 but TKMaxx was selling it for £7. I thought this was a little expensive, as I used to only buy hair products that was £1 then I went up a bit to lush and body shop whose price range is not far below Tigi's which is why I don't mind paying it.
This is in 250ml bottles and this is used in a lot of professional hair salons I'm sure you can buy this a little cheaper from other stores or online, so if your looking to just try, try and shop around for a place that sells this really cheap, maybe a salon supply place will sell this. One of the things that jump out at me about this product is the Organic, I would love it if it was 100% organic, but unfortunately it is 80% but that is awfully close for products these days, also the packaging is only 50% recycled material, they could do it a little closer to 100% but at least they're ttrying a little. 'Tigi Love Peace & The Planet Eco Awesome Conditioner' has specific ingredients in this to moisturise and make your hair shine : White tea leaf, algae and chamomile flower extracts combined with olive fruit oil, scented with Cranberry, Orange & Mint. One of the best things about this too, is it being unisex, that way you don't need to go out and buy lots of different for women and for men items, when you can just buy Tigi for your whole family.
does not contain the following :
'Tigi Love Peace & The Planet Eco Awesome Conditioner' does not have these things in it, so you hair will feel light weight and to make sure you have lushious curly locks, or of course straight, this also stops the colour faing, my hair has been bleached, permed, dyed and been ragged around so much it is in need of some TLC this with all the moisture to creates really helps my hair to start repairing itself, it also helps again heat, when straightening your hair.
Overall, this is a very pricey product yes, but if you pay cheap you get cheap, if you pay high, you get quality, and that's exactly what you'll get with 'Tigi Love Peace & The Planet Eco Awesome Conditioner' with this you only need a grape size portion, as the consistancy of this allows you to easily spread this around your hair, of course if you have long hair you will need to use a little more, using just this amount allows it to last long, I was my hair every daya nd condition it every day, I'm the only one who uses this in my house hold and a bottle of this 'Tigi Love Peace & The Planet Eco Awesome Conditioner' has lasted me over 2 months now and I still have some left, The smell of this is very fruity, it is a strange combination, fruit and mint, but you can deffinately smell the mint, when your applying you can smell it rising up with the stream and it really does make you feel refreshed and awake, the orange is a strong smell in this, toning down the mint and making it more sweet, there was a slight under tone of Cranberry, which I like because I'm not a big fan of cranberry smells, Because my hair is so damaged it took a while for my hair to get it's natural shine back, but after a few uses of this and my hair was looking more healthyier than ever, also this provides the softest hair I have ever felt on myself, so I am completely happy to have a tigi obsession!
Before I started using Tigi products, i had always thought of my hair as difficult to manage. It is, for the most part, thick and naturally wavy so I used to find it very difficult to find products that would make my hair in good condition as well as easy to manage. However, now I have used Tigi I don't have any problems at all!
I use this product along with the matching shampoo and despite the small size of the bottles, the product is actually very long lasting. With normal high street brands like Herbal Essences I find that a bottle of conditioner only lasts me a few washes as I have so much hair but with this a little goes a long way and a bottle can last me eight weeks in spite of its deceptively small size!
One of the things that I particuarly like about this product is that it is also very eco friendly. The bottle itself is made from 50% recycled materials (and is recyclable itself) and the product itself is made of 80% organic material and doesn't contain any "baddies". Furthermore, the addition of Olive Oil means that your hair is glossy and smooth after using without any residue being left on the hair.
The actual experience of using the product is a bit difficult to describe as people will use it in different ways; I tend to use a ten pence sized amount and smooth it through the mid lengths to ends of my hair and use the remaining on the top of my hair to avoid the roots getting greasy. I then leave it on for a few minutes in order to get the best results and enjoy the great smell that is so typical of Tigi products.
I find that I can use this conditioner every day without my hair feeling weighed down or heavy but I can also leave my hair for 2/3 days after a good blow dry without it loosing its glossy sheen. This really is a great product and I would really recommend it those who use high street smoothing or glossing products!
Tigi is a company which was created by hair experts Toni & Guy specifically for their hair dressers to use on their clients. After the success and popularity of the products, Tigi was opened up for the every day consumer to purchase. They create products to deal with a variety of hair dilemmas and they usually come with inspiring names and delicious scents. I purchased the Tigi Love, Peace & The Planet Eco Awesome Moisturizing Conditioner along side the shampoo after it was recommended to me by hair dresser.
What does the product do?
The selling point of this product is that it is eco friendly. Using 80% organic ingredients and containing no parabens, unnecessary chemicals or artificial fragrances and colourings, it offers you a new healthy way to clean your hair. The conditioner promises to hydrate both the scalp and the hair, leaving them strengthened and the hair with improved elasticity so you should see fewer strands strapping and less split ends developing. As it contains antioxidants, it also claims to protect the hair and to prevent it from looking dull. It described as being suitable for all hair types.
How does the product work?
The conditioner contains Olive Oil which is extremely moisturising and hydrates the hair deeply. This allows it to hold onto its elasticity and prevents the hair from becoming brittle and snapping. As it is an antioxidant, it also protects the hair and removes any dulling pollutants from the strands and allows it to shine. The oil also hydrates the scalp, strengthens the hair and nourishes it with fatty acids and vitamins. White Tea Leaf is also an antioxidant and it performs a soothing action on the scalp.
Algae is present in order to strengthen the hair while removing dulling pollutants from the strands. The substance also strengthens the scalp and helps to prevent hair loss so you should see fewer strands falling out when you're brushing your locks. It also nourishes your hair with fatty acids and encourages the development of healthy new hair cells. Chamomile Extract soothes the scalp, while brightening the hair and giving it a lovely shine. Cranberry, Orange and Mint extract gives the conditioner a fresh and invigorating aroma.
How do you use the product?
The product is to be used in the same way as a normal conditioner. It is to be massaged into damp hair that has already been shampooed and then left for a few minutes. When you time is up, the product is to be rinsed out thoroughly and then you can dry and style your hair in the usual way.
Packaging and Price
50% of the packaging is made from recycled materials which goes along with this lines green theme. The packaging is made from thin green plastic and you can see the conditioner through the bottle. The flip top lid is black and there is some writing on the front in a graffiti style font. If you chose the larger size, the conditioner will come in a pump style bottle. The conditioner is available from most good hair salons and also from many online websites. It will cost you around £10 for a huge 750ml that should last you for months. Smaller bottles of 200ml are available which cost closer to £10.
The consistency of this conditioner is ok and quite thick but it is not as thick as I usually like my conditioners to be. This may be due to the lack of artificial thickening ingredients though so I'll let it go. The aroma of the product is quite medicinal but it is completely natural and I assume it's the cherries that create this smell. It isn't to my taste but isn't strong enough to put me off completely. The fragrance is quite long lasting in the hair which is usually a good thing with Tigi products but in this case, for me, it's not.
The conditioner coats the hair well and doesn't run off or drip away so you can leave it to work into the hair for a minute. You probably don't need to use much of the product to achieve the desired results but I always go wild with conditioner and use lots because my hair is very dry. There is no sensation on my scalp as I use the product which I thought there would be as the product contains Peppermint and lots of the ingredients are targeting the scalp. It is a completely comfortable experience when the product is on my hair... Other than the aroma!
The conditioner is easily washed out of the hair and once it is dry, is does look very clean and it has a bit of a shine. Considering it has the word moisturising in the product title, it doesn't really hydrate my hair enough. My hair is really, really dry due to styling using heated appliances and constantly dying it and this doesn't provide the moisture that it needs. As a result, it is frizzier and my split ends are more evident.
My hair also doesn't feel as soft as it could and it has created a few tangles. I am always wary of using hair products that are described as being for all hair types as I don't see how a product can suit the needs of both greasy and dry hair types. The conditioner doesn't make my hair look greasy and when using the conditioner, I can go two days before I need to wash it again. The results of conditioner may be satisfactory on those with normal hair but I don't think this is a viable option for those will dry hair like mine.
I am as unimpressed with this conditioner as I was with the shampoo which is a shame as I love most of the products which have been created by Tigi. If you are a person who is particularly keen to be green and your hair is normal, then you may like to try this conditioner. It leaves your hair clean and with a bit of a shine. However, if you'd prefer to find other ways to care for the environment, then there are plenty of other Tigi products that have much more delicious fragrances and give more impressive results on your hair.
No more TIGI products. Thats the promise I made myself about a month ago when I found that I honestly didnt have much more room on my bathroom shelf for anything because of all the haircare products I had been buying in the weeks before. But we all know promises are made to be broken and I couldnt resist buying a few more when I saw them majorly reduced in my local TK MAXX. This 'TIGI Love, Peace & The Planet Conditioner' was one of the products I bought simply because it was so much cheaper than I could ever find it online and the way they described the scent really appealed to me so I bought a rather large bottle of it to test out - and I dont see how I ever used another conditioner, this without a doubt is the best for my hair and I will be using it ... hopefully forever!!
Price: 250ml - Around £7 - shop around though for a better deal!!
Stockists: Amazon, TK MAXX & most hair salons stock this brand in store.
Other Info: 100% natural, scented with Cranberry, Orange & Mint and this one unlike other TIGI products is unisex so everyone can use and enjoy this one. The bottle is made from 50% recycled material and the shampoo contains no parabens, no synthetic fragrances & no artificial colours - one for lovers of the planet. You can do your bit for mother earth while keeping your hair looking brilliant as well!!

Usually with the TIGI range the packaging is the first thing I notice, like and the thing that makes me want to buy the product again. And while that will play a part in whether Id buy this again the packaging isnt AS great and colourful as usual - maybe because this one is a recycled type plastic and the paper is also recycled but that might not have anything to do with it at all! This is still a very colourful green shade that did attract my attention when I was just browsing and it comes in a thin plastic tube rather than a bottle (however if you buy the larger sized product it comes in a proper bottle with a pump lid - I personally own both and I prefer this one!!) - I thought I wouldnt like that as much as normal but Im actually finding it much easier to use when I have wet hands in the shower - havent dropped it yet or used to much so Ive found I actually prefer my conditioner to be in a squeezy tube! On the front and back of the tube is all the information you could need on the product - directions for use, ingredients, some information on the environmental factors for this brand and much more. I think all the information you could need is on the tube BUT if you do have additional questions/problems there is an address on the back you can write to.
Normally I would put an ingredient list in a TIGI review at this point but I cant find a list anywhere for the life of me. However there is a very long list of things that this conditioner DOES'NT contain:
71% Organic contents
50% Of the packaging is recycled
By taking all of those out of a conditioner it will help make sure when you have used this - your hair will be clean but not weighed down, saves your hair from colour loss if you use dye, adds moisture to dried out locks & stops it from becoming dried out in the future due to using heat appliances or over styling with products & brushes. Basically it will clean your hair like everyone would expect from a shampoo and t helps repair any problems you already have and prevent them from happening again in the future.

To use this product is very simple as it is no different to a normal conditioner. I like to apply this after shampooing - with the matching product - apply this all over your hair, then brush through, leave for a few minutes for the full effects and then rinse out until your hair feels amazing and squeeky clean - I also sometimes brush this through and leave it in overnight for intense moisturisation and it works brilliantly either way you use it in my opinion. It can be used quickly for everyday washing and as an overnight mask maybe once a week for very dried out hair like mine - its double the results that way but you might end up using more of this much quicker. If your brushing this through your hair you only need a very small amount to cover ALL of your hair - a 10p piece worth is more than enough for me and I have very long hair so an even smaller amount will be needed if you have shorter hair meaning one bottle - even though it is very pricey - will last a really long time regardless of hair thickness or length. Less is more in this case as using too much will weigh your hair down and make it appear greasy which is the exact opposite of the intended results so only use a small amount and your hair will look, feel and smell fantastic.
Now I always think that the scent of TIGI products is worth mentioning and in this case I think no different - I actually think the scent of this is the best of any hair product Ive tried - and there has been quite a few! I assumed that because this has no artificial scents added to it that I a) wouldnt be keen on the scent or b) there wouldnt be much of a scent at all but I couldnt have been proven more wrong. The mint is definitely the strongest ingredient but behind that there is the noticable scents of cranberry which offers a fruity edge and the orange that gives it a citrus scent - those 3 dont sound like the would mix well together but they really do work amazingly well. The scent is gorgeous - it wakes me right up in the morning when I use and happily it lasts all day on my hair so I can carry on smelling this all day long. I think most people will adore the scent of this! The scent even lasts for ages on my hair which most hair products just cant manage - as Im a smoker and apply extra products with equally strong scents on my hair after washing - this one still manages to be really noticable so thats a brilliant advantage for me personally. My hair smells gorgeous until I need to wash it again - fantastic, no stale fag odour for me!

I honestly cannot recommend this highly enough. I saw the difference in the feel and appearance in my hair after the very first use as it didnt feel as dried out and the colour didnt run in the water at all - which happens ALL the time when I use an at home colour on my hair. After using this for about a month my split ends feel softer and arent as noticable in my opinion and they havent been re-appearing as quickly as they normally do. Best of all this cleans and moisturises my hair without leaving it feeling weighed down or needing to be washed more often and it smells amazing for days afterwards. I honestly havent got a bad word to say about this one - TIGI have done it again! If all environmentally friendly products are this good then Im going to quickly become a convert!!
Thanks For Reading.
