About a year ago I changed shampoos to one from Lush called I Love Juicy. It is probably the best hair product I have ever used as it not only sorted out my greasy hair, it also left it in better condition and it seemed to grow a lot quicker.
Since using the product, I have stopped using conditioner after every wash as I didn't really need it as my hair is fairly thin and is prone to greasiness/getting weighed down with hair products.
I have started using this product once or twice a week, to give my hair a little treat and condition!
The conditioner smells absolutely gorgeous - a bit like Amaretto. Yum!
It makes my hair nice and soft and doesn't weigh it down. It also quite light so doesn't make it greasy, which good!
You only need to use a tiny blob too so the bottle will last a while!
The product is also paraben free, no artificial colours or synthetic fragrances and is 88% organic content. The bottle is also made of 50% post consumer recycled material.
It is quite pricey, at around £10 but you can pick it up online for cheaper if you shop around.
My hair is really over processed after years of bleaching and regular use of straightners. My hair is very weak when damp and I'm always afraid of breaking it. I don't like mousse as I do not need volume in my style as my hair is already thick. I have been using this product for over a year now as it makes my hair very easy to manage when wet and I can get the style right every time I dry it, it also makes it very soft. I'm not sure why other reviews say it makes their hair greasy, maybe they are using too much. I've tried many mousses and leave in products but none come close to this. I also like this range as it is paraben free. If you shop around you can find this for a reasonable price too.
Tigi Love Peace And The Planet Let It Be Leave-In Conditioner
I wash my hair and use conditioner every morning. Occasionally I will decide to skip this, but by midday I will often wish I hadn't as I just don't feel my best unless I do. It is usually because of lack of time that I am tempted to leave my hair unwashed, or sometimes because of the effort involved as I have ME, but as I rarely feel good leaving my hair unwashed I have several options which I follow to speed up the process. One of my favourites is to use a leave in conditioner, and a good option is the "Tigi Love Peace And The Planet Let It Be Conditioner."
Where To Purchase
You might have to look on the internet for this product. I purchase mine from Amazon where I can usually find a good deal. Expect to pay £5.75 for 250ml with free delivery, which is a saving of over £4 on the RRP. This sounds expensive for a conditioner but you only need to use a very small amount. I have also seen this in other online stores including Cheap Smells and in TK MAXX stores from time to time. I think there are many excellent high street brands that offer this sort of product, and so only rarely do I venture into the more professional area which have products commanding higher price tags. However some are really worth a look if only to use as occasional treats. The Tigi range were originally produced for Toni and Guy salons so have that professional endorsement of quality. There are some excellent products in their ranges which cater for all types of hair.
The product also has the benefit of being free from Parabens and synthetic fragrances, and is 88% organic. This is also true for others in the Love Peace And The Planet range so they offer something for those seeking environmentally and ethically friendly products. The best attribute this product has to offer is the fragrance which combines two of my favourite scents that being cherries and almonds. The conditioner smells like Bakewell tarts - it is absolutely gorgeous! Using it is pure pleasure! It is an identical scent to the Jergens original moisturiser that you can purchase online and also in the US. I love this product but unlike many of Jergens new ranges which are paraben free this is not, and so I don't purchase it as I am trying not to buy body lotions too often which have this chemical added. Parabens have been receiving negative publicity recently due to their possible links to cancer. There is no concrete proof for this as yet, but the chemicals are banned in some countries, and it does cause me some concern. At least this Tigi conditioner presents me with an alternative cherry and almond product that is free from parabens, so that I can enjoy the scent free from any thoughts of possible risks to health.
How I Use
The way I tend to use this product is in combination with a really good moisturising shampoo - one which leaves my hair in good condition. I tend to pick a favourite such as one from the L'Oreal Elvive range, or if I am being really decadent or am going somewhere where I want to really have hair looking nourished and shiny, I will bring out one of my special occasion products by Redken. Then having towel dried my hair I will apply a small amount of the conditioner and will brush it through all the hair from root to tip. The product has a milky white creamy consistency, and is easy to distribute, and it leaves the hair easy to comb through removing tangles and incorporating a smooth texture.
At this point I think it is fair to say that I don't feel this product excels over other leave in conditioners in any way at all as there are some excellent products on the market. It is an excellent choice and works beautifully though, and achieves what you would expect from this type of product. It does leave hair soft and shiny as it contains Shea butter and almond oil which impart a moist and conditioned look, but other products also contain these types of nourishing ingredients so its performance is on a par with them. For me the special quality this conditioner has is in the fragrance which makes it so pleasant to use. The fragrance lasts for a few minutes in the hair, but is not something I would say is apparent an hour later, which is a shame because if it did then it would be amazing. As you would expect the conditioner facilitates ease of blow drying. I find that if I follow my usual routine which is to use the product, dry and style my hair, and then straighten it, the result is the same as if I had used a conventional conditioner, but has the benefit that I have saved time. There is no greasy residue on the hair, and I find my scalp is not irritated by the product at all. Some leave in conditioners impart a layer of unpleasant product build up which I dislike, as I prefer to have hair that feels free from any kind of weighing down by lotions and potions, so that it has that freshly washed look and feel. This certainly performs well in this respect.
On the days that I really want to be quick and also on sunny holidays I use this product in conjunction with a sea salt spray. There are many of these on the market and what I do is I use the leave in conditioner and I then apply the sea salt spray and allow my hair to dry naturally, or I will rough or scrunch dry. This is a lovely way to impart natural curl to the hair and I really like this as it is quick and natural.
My hair is shoulder length, very thick indeed, coloured and highlighted and it veers towards a coarse texture if I don't condition well. So for me this conditioner has to perform well in order for me to re-purchase which I do on a regular basis. I adore the fragrance, and I also value the fact that the product lasts a long time as you really only need to use a small amount to achieve good results. Is it better than other leave in conditioners?- no it isn't - it compares favourably with them, but it wins every time with its wonderful fragrance and natural ingredients. Highly recommended.

I don't usually use leave-in conditioner, but I saw this in TK Maxx whilst buying my usual Tigi Shampoo and Conditioner and thought I might as well give it a go. Whilst it's a product that I use occasionally rather than regularly, I've been pleased with it every time I've used it so I think it'll be sticking around on my shelf of hair-care products for a while!
I use this product on mornings when I've washed my hair but don't have time to use conditioner in the shower. I simply wash my hair, wring out as much water as possible, brush it, then apply a small blob throughout my hair and brush it again to ensure an even distribution. I then simply blow dry my hair as normal. One great advantage of this product is that it makes my hair much more manageable and easy to blow dry as it removes tangles and my hairbrush glides through my hair with ease. I wouldn't say my hair looks noticeably different after using this leave-in conditioner in comparison to when I've used a traditional conditioner, but it leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy.
The main thing that attracted me to this conditioner is the smell. It has a cherry almond fragrance and smells absolutely gorgeous - good enough to eat! Unfortunately the smell is confined to the product whilst it's in the bottle and doesn't fragrance my hair, but I always have a good sniff of the bottle before using it!
Something else that attracted me to this product was its packaging, which, with its green and brown colour scheme and peace sign logo, gave off the impression that this was an eco-friendly product. A closer read of the label gave me the following information: '88% organic content, no parabens, no artificial colors, no synthetic fragrances, bottle 50% post consumer recycled material', giving the buyer the sense that they're doing something for the environment and reducing the number of artificial nasties they're putting on their hair.
As my hair is prone to greasiness (I'm one of those unfortunate people who has to wash their hair every day) I was worried that this conditioner might weigh down my hair and make it look greasy more quickly, but I needn't have worried. I do use the product sparingly though, and don't use it on my roots, which I think helps to prevent greasiness and lankness.
With an RRP of £9.99 for a 250ml bottle, there are certainly cheaper alternatives on the market. However, it's worth shopping around for this, as it was less than half-price (£4.49) when I bought it in TK Maxx. I'm not sure I'd pay full price, as it's nothing special, but I'd buy it again for £4.49 as this matches the prices of similar products found in Boots and supermarkets.
I'd never heard of leave-in conditioner until my friend told me her secret to frizz-free, soft, lively hair. At first I was confused by the concept of a leave in conditioner as usually conditioner is gloopy and thick and I was concerned it would leave my hair greasy but the results were clear to see in my friend's hair so I took the plunge and purchased the same one that she swore by: Tigi Love Peace & The Planet Let It Be Leave-in Conditioner
**Using the leave in conditioner**
Using the conditioner really couldn't be any easier. When washing your hair thoroughly with shampoo and rinsing it out you should towel dry your hair; not completely sapping your hair of all the moisture but at the same time taking away the excess water. Then I would recommend using half a palm full of conditioner and applying to the roots and ends and then combing your hair through to ensure that the conditioner is spread evenly. The conditioner didn't feel gloopy or overly sticky either but I was still apprehensive as at first I could clearly see the silky solution in my hair but one it was massaged into my scalp it was no longer visible. Then you should carry on doing what you would normally do i.e. leave your hair to dry naturally or blow drying your hair. I usually blow dry my hair to maximise control.
**Effects of the conditioner**
When my hair is still damp the effects of the leave in conditioner are not clear but upon drying my hair looks instantly healthier and has added bounce and vibrancy. As for shine there is no visible shine to my hair that isn't already present due to the shampoo which was slightly disappointing but it did leave my friend's hair shiny so I suppose it does depend on what condition your hair is in prior to using the conditioner and how much you use etc!
The smell of the product is one of the main aspects that people talk about when they have used this product as it is very strong and unique. The smell is cherry which makes the scent very fruity and almost tangy as it is very sweet. Overall, I'd say that the scent is pleasant and if you don't like the smell of cherries but wish to try out the product then I'd still recommend it as the smell dilutes very quickly and does not linger in the hair.
A quick look on the website tells you that the ingredients are as follows: shea butter, sweet almond oil, rice and wheat amino acids, hibiscus and chamomile extracts. All these ingredients combined rescue your hair with nourishment and amazing shine. I would have to disagree with the 'amazing shine' part but I really do think it depends on the condition of your hair.
I paid £4.99 for 250ml of product from an online retailer (I can't quite remember which one it may have been cheapsmells.com!) I think this is quite a reasonable price as I have had it in my bathroom cabinet for around 4 months and still have well over half of the bottle left despite using it regularly.
My hair is in one of the worst conditions because of all the things I've done to it such as bleaching every few months, dyeing every week, straightening at the very least once a day, as you can imaging from this, my hair isn't the best, I was recommended to use a leave - it - in conditioner my the hair salon, she never really told me anything about the product or what it means or how to use this, she just mentioned it would actually protect my hair all day and night because it's still in my hair, now when I first heard this I was utterly confused, I was thinking that I'd have lots of manky hard crusty product in my hair and all over my hair, I'd look a complete state! Bu of course, finding out more about it I understood and decided to give 'Tigi Love Peace & The Planet Let It Be Leave-in Conditioner' a go.
Using this is really simply, you wash your hair like normal with shampoo and then towel dry hair hair until it is just over damp, then apply a small amount of this to your roots and comb or brush, if you apply to all of your hair rather than the roots then when it dried you'll find parts of your hair really thick with product and it is gross and you have to start all over again, so taking a grape sized portion and apply to your roots, brushing this through distributes it evenly over your hair leaving no strands without treatment.
The smell of this isn't nearly as strong as Tigi's other products, the smell reminds me of cherry bake well cakes, it is sickly sweet and fruity at the same time, which actually makes it smell very delicious so I was looking forward to having it on my hair and carry it around with me all day, sniffing this from the bottle was a little strong, once finishing applying to your hair, the smell had completely gone, but if your around a smell to long you get used to it and can't smell it anymore, so I asked other people if it still smelt like it and they said no it just stays smell, so that didn't please me.
As for the results, this didn't weigh me down through the day like I thought it would, having that much product on when usually I don't have any, it did make my hair softer and bouncy, it was also great when straightening, no frizzing and went perfectly straight the first time, it also stayed straight throughout the day with no curling so it make it easier to style, as for the condition of my hair, this didn't have long term effects and only worked when I had it on, it didn't provide coverage for a few days, I had to re apply every day if I want the same thing.
This was only £6 for a 250ml bottle which I thought was quite cheap for Tigi, but the results are reflected in the price I must say, you can buy tigi products including this one, from the official tigi website, amazon, tkmaxx and if you shop around a bit you might find some where cheaper
As I have been swimming a lot lately I have been using L'Oreal kids cherry almond 2 in 1 shampoo. I love the smell of it, I would describe it as my favourite scent. This came up on my recommendations on Amazon and I decided to try it. A bottle cost me £6.40 for 250ml there is an offer on Amazon as it's normally £9.99.
The conditioner is a leave in version which suits me as after swimming I like to save as much time as possible. The bottle of this conditioner is made from 50% recycled materials. The conditioner itself is 88% organic and contains no parabens or artificial colours.
The conditioner is designed to last a long time as it is a leave in conditioner and you only need a small amount each time. I have been using this about 2 weeks, I try to go swimming daily although I don't always manage to go and so far I haven't even used 1/8th of this bottle.
The conditioner contains chamomile extract, shea butter and amino acids to help soften and smooth your hair as well as improving it's condition and repairing your hair.
To use this conditioner you simply towel dry your hair and apply a small amount to your hands. You then need to massage the conditioner into damp hair concentrating on the mid lengths and ends. The conditioner has a thin consistency as it is a leave in version so I only use a pea sized amount. It smells lovely, it is really fruity and smells so much like the cherry drop sweets you can get, the almond is very subtle in the scent but it is noticable.
After using this my hair was detangled and easy to comb. It has made a difference to my hair which is a little dry after swimming. It makes it a lot softer and more managable. It isn't as intense as a wash out conditioner but it does the job well and smells lovely. I am now tempted to try the shampoo as soon as I have some spare cash as this scent is really nice.
5 out of 5 from me.
I am quite surprised by the negative reviews that this product has received as I find it one of the best leave in conditioner's on the market!
Many leave in conditioner's come in a spray bottle to enable effective distribution and to ensure that there is no residue left on the hair. This product comes in a bottle not dissimilar to your normal conditioner which may make distribution difficult at first. The key is to use a very small amount as you can always add more if you need to. I apply the product to the mid lengths and ends of my hair as these are the areas that need the most moisture and find the results to be really good. That is before even mentioning the scent, which, like all Tigi products, is heaven in a bottle.
If your hair is in good condition then don't use this product. Many people use leave in conditioners to maintain the condition of their hair but I believe that this product is so rich that it should be used for those who need enhancement only. Avoid using on the roots as these areas will go greasy the quickest and using a product like this will only hasten this process!
I find that if I use this product combined with other Tigi products and blow dry, my hair will look in good condition and not need washing for between 2/3 days whilst maintaining shape and shine.
WHAT IS IT?
A leave in conditioner from Tigi.
IS IT ANY GOOD?
As with most Tigi products this smells delicious, the smell doesn't linger on the hair as long as other products from the brand but it makes it a gorgeous product to use.
Unfortunately the smell is the best thing about it as the conditioner leaves my hair limp, greasy looking and unclean. I have used it on several of my clients and they have nearly all had the same opinion of it, the only lady who was happy with it being an Asian lady with hair almost down to her knees. It suited her naturally glossy hair and also seems to work with the oilier texture of Asian hair to give it a deep conditioning treatment.
It does make my hair completely tangle free immediately after applying it but the effects don't last long and the next time I come to brush it it'll be as knotted as ever. The extra shine and silky look I was promised doesn't ever materialise as the conditioner is so heavy on my hair, even after washing I can feel the residue of it and it never feels like it's ever going to rinse away.
Just don't waste your money, there are better leave in conditioners available. At £9.50 for 250ml it's an expensive way to make your hair look greasy and unwashed.
1 Dooyoo Star.
Leave-In conditioner is something I only discovered quite recently. I never really bothered with it as I use quite a lot of proper conditioner on my hair anyway and that always seemed to do the job fine - hairdressers always comment on how good the condition of my hair is - people with long, heat straightened hair is normally much worse apparantly. But as I started using a TIGI leave-in conditioner a few months ago and was amazed by the results I thought Id try out a few more from the same brand to see how they compared and I could think of no better place to start than with this 'TIGI Love, Peace & The Planet Leave-In Conditioner'. Ive tried out other eco friendly products from TIGI and have been amazed at the wonderful effects on my hair so I was hoping I would feel the same about this one. Sadly this one isnt that brilliant - it just doesnt compare to the Superstar leave-in conditioner I normally use.

Usually with the TIGI range the packaging is the first thing I notice, like and the thing that makes me want to buy the product again. And while that will play a part in whether Id buy this again the packaging isnt AS great and colourful as usual - maybe because this one is a recycled type plastic and the paper is also recycled but that might not have anything to do with it at all! This is still a very colourful green shade that did attract my attention I suppose. This comes in a quite chunky 250ml bottle - not good at all! It being in a bottle makes it very hard to squeeze some out and I think it would be much better if it was in a spary bottle or a bottle with a pump so thats one bad thing already. On the front and back of the bottle is all the information you could need on the product - directions for use, ingredients, some information on the environmental factors for this brand and much more. I think all the information you could need is on the tube BUT if you do have additional questions/problems there is an address on the back you can write to. Its got a decent design but its not very practical when it comes to actually using it in my opinion.
Normally I would put an ingredient list in a TIGI review at this point but I cant find a list anywhere for the life of me. However there is a very long list of things that this conditioner DOES'NT contain:
71% Organic contents
50% Of the packaging is recycled
By taking all of those out of a leave-in conditioner it will help make sure when you have used this - your hair will be clean but not weighed down, adds moisture to dried out locks & stops it from becoming dried out in the future due to using heat appliances or over styling with products & brushes. Basically it will add moisture and smooth your hair like everyone would expect from a product like this and to helps repair any problems you already have and prevent them from happening again in the future.

To use this product is very simple - you squeeze a very small amount out of the tube and rub between your hands, then smooth through your hair - brush through for best results and then brush and style like normal. Brushing this through will ensure that this covers all of your hair and that all of your hair gets the results rather than just the roots - also brushing this through means it will evenly distribute all over your hair meaning that one part wont be covered in product and weighed down against other parts that dotn have any product on and are feeling normal and light. Again less is more! This product is very creamy and thick - very unlike other leave-in conditioners Ive tried - so ist kind of like applying face lotion to your hair! A 5p sized amount is more than enough to cover all of my hair generously and I have very long hair so if your hair is much shorter you will only need a very small amount. Using too much will make your hair feel very greasy and weighed down which is the opposite intention of this product so only use a small amount and you'll be fine. DONT apply to dry hair - again this will mean you hair will look as if youve dipped it in a chip pan and it wont brush through easily at all - so just dont bother trying it that way!!
The smell of TIGI products is always worth mentioning in my opinion, but sadly in this case it is for all the wrong reasons. Dont get me wrong the scent is pleasant but its nothing amazing at all. This smells just like a cherry bakewell - the fragrance is sweet, a little bit fruity but far too light and has no staying power at all. I apply this to my hair and then style and by that time the scent has totally disappeared which is disappointing because normally products from this brand have amazing staying power with the scents. Its is a perfectly lovely scent dont get me wrong but it just doesnt last at all on my hair - maybe because its not as synthetic as the others scents maybe? Smell like a cherry bakewell ... for all of 5 minutes. Very disappointing.

Now if I wasnt comparing this to anything Id probably be saying the results are amazing but as Ive tried others I dont think this one is as good at all - maybe its just not suited to my hair type. This does make my hair feel softer, smoother and easier to style BUT no more so than if I hadnt applied it I dont think. My hair feels the same if I have just shampoo'd and conditioned it normally with wash out products - its actually pointless for me to apply this in my opinion it doesnt really add anything extra to my hair. However my mom has recently started using this - she had thinner and shorter hair than me - and she cant stop raving about how brilliant it is so maybe it will work better if your hair is a different length/texture to mine. But for me it just doesnt work - try out Superstar by TIGI if you want a brilliant leave-in conditioner because this one just cannot compare in my opinion.
Thanks For Reading.
