I was a bit sceptic at first about the whole dry shampoo thing, but I still decided I wanted to give this Tigi Rockaholic Dry Shampoo a try, as many of my friends already had used it for some time and was very pleased with it. Now, I always bring this Tigi with me when on holiday or travels, and I also often use it when time is short and hair needs refreshing!
I paid only 5 pounds for a 300 ml can of this product, and didn`t therefore expect it to be a miracle in the land of dry shampoos... But I have to say that after having used it now for a long tim, I still haven`t found a single aspect to complain about, it simply does what it promises to do and leaves your hair feeling clean, refreshed and lovely!
The scent of this shampoo is very reminiscent of perfumes you would use in summer, it has a very sweet, refreshing and citrus like feel to it that I have come to like very much!
This dry shampoo is very easy to use, you simply shake the can, spray onto your hair, leave it in for some minutes and then brush your hair afterwards... Easy and fast!
So, this is a Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo, but it`s no secret that this is a good product for good value!
I have a love/hate relationship with dry shampoos. It is something that I don't enjoy using but at the same time it is something that I always find myself buying as you never know when you might need it. For instance on those mornings when you sleep in and your hair is greasy and you don't have time to wash and style it before you leave the house.
Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret is one of the better dry shampoos that you can buy which is just as well as it is also one of the more expensive dry shampoos around. It cost me £8 which was for quite a large 300ml bottle so a little more than comparable high street versions.
This dry shampoo is a spray can and it works by lightly spraying what appears to be a fine mist of some powdery substance which is supposed to absorb excess oils and leave hair looking and feeling fresher.
You just spray at the roots for greasy roots or if you want to refresh your whole head of hair then you need to make sure that you spray the entire head. There is an art to using this and making sure that you don't get that horrible grey look that happens when the powder just sits on the top of your hair and drags it down and makes it look overly matt and heavy.
Once you have sprayed the shampoo you then need to vigorously rub it in to ensure that it is evenly spread. If you work it into the hair properly then the results are really good and the excess oil is removed and hair is left looking much better and although it won't look like you have just freshly shampooed it, it will look tons better than lank greasy locks.
If you don't rub the shampoo in properly then it can actually make your hair look worse than before you used it. If if just sits on the top of the hair your hair will look grey and as if it is matted and dirty which is really not a good look for anyone.
All in all I quite like this dry shampoo and have bought it on several occasions. It will never leave your hair looking as good as being freshly washed but in a pinch it will do.
I have to admit I used to be a bit of a snob when it came to haircare and all of my products were bought in the salon. However, since having a baby and only working part time I can no longer justify wasting money on non essentials. This is an item that cost me around £9 in my local salon. I have seen it on Amazon for £5.
A can of this contains 300ml of dry shampoo and is suitable for men and women. The packaging is similar to others in the Tigi Rockaholic range in that it is black with silver patterns and a brightly coloured top in this case bright green.
This product is designed to prevent the need to wash your hair daily thereby protecting your hair because your not heat styling it as often. The shampoo will absorb excess oils and help remove odours from your hair like oil and smoke. It also states it will add volume to your hair.
To use the dry shampoo you simply need to spray to sections of your roots from a distance of about 20cm and then wait a minute, you then need to brush your hair or if you have shorter hair work lightly into your hair.
The product states that it is colour free, however when I was using it I found like other dry shampoos it was a bit powdery. The product had a really nice 'fresh' smell which is great for me and women, although I can't see many men using this. The product was easy to work into my hair although I did get some residue which left my hair looking a little dull. The product did add volume to my roots however and absorb the grease meaning I could leave my hair a little longer than normal.
I would describe this product as ok. It isn't as good as Batiste dry shampoo which is a lot cheaper and a little disappointing from Tigi whose products I normally love. I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.
Using so many Tigi beauty products before, I decided I want to ween myself off washing my hair every day and I was going to a festival, we was going for the extra days and of course camping so there was no showers, I could go around the festival looking grungy so I had a few reasons to purchase a dry shampoo, I didn't really know which ones to buy, so I bought a really cheap £1.99 can and 'Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo' this was £5 for a 300ml can which, for this brand was a massive bargain. The places that stock Tigi products are : TKMaxx, Amazon, Look Fantastic. the TIGI website & a lot of hair salons.
For anyone who doesn't know, dry shampoo is an aerosol spray that you spray onto the roots of your hair and then work down your hair by brushing it, this then absorbs all the excess oils that make your hair 'greasy' it can be used so you don't have to wash your hair every day or to simply give your hair extra volume. This can be used on any hair type, any length and thickness and even if the hair is coloured. One of the main things about 'Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo' is that it is colour less.
I have short hair, just above my shoulders, but I wear extensions too, This can be used on any hair length which is good because it means you don't have to mess around buying lots of different products all the time you can just stick to this one, I have been trying to stop washing my hair every day, and so now I wash it every other day and dry shampoo in between, this saves a lot of time in the mornings and washing your hair really does make the shower a lot longer, and this is really handy for me as I find it hard to get up on time so if I am up late I can just have a quick spray and I've saved myself 20 minutes from not washing and drying it.
I use this when I'm going out or if I'm actually making an effort for the day, because I back comb my hair so it's fluffy and big, this dry shampoo helps to add volume to your hair and it makes it seem thicker which is useful to me because I have really fair hair and sometimes you can see my extension clips, this really does help to volumize your hair, compared to the cheaper dry shampoos, they are white sprays, and I have black hair so sometimes you can see the white which is very annoying. 'Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo' is colour less so when you spray it on you don't need to worry if you have a little patch that hasn't soaked in yet because no one can see it. Personally, I don't use a brush or comb to work this down my hair, I can just simply give my head a good rub and it all be fine and have even more volume to it.
The smell is citric, of course as you would expect because citrus acid gets rid of all smalls which is why all house hold cleaning products usually come in Lemon, this helps to cover up and discard any bad odors lingering in your hair. This smell is very invigorating and refreshing making you smell of lovely fruit, it isn't a strong smell and it won't be overpowering which is great because I like to wear perfume and I don't like my smells to clash.
I would 100% recommend this to anyone, the price is really cheap, it's a big can that will last just over a month if used int he right proportion.
I had always heard of dry Shampoo but have only been using it for the last couple of years. I don't know what I done without it, and it does wonders to perk up my Greasy Hair when i'm a little short of time. I have to wash my Hair every 2nd day but I find that on the 2nd day the Roots look a bit Oily halfway through to day, so a squirt of such a product is great.
I bought this about a month ago from Boots and there was an offer of 3 for the price of 2 on the Tigi range so I bought the Shampoo and Conditioner that I like to use and this tin. It's not the first time that I have used this.
This comes in a 300ml tin and I think this was selling for £5. It is more expensive than the other brand named Dry Shampoo out there but it is a brand name after all.
The tin looks like the picture on here. I don't think it is all that eye catching since it is a dark tin. Not exactly the bright and colourful tin that I would have expected.
Just use this in the usual way that you would use Dry Shampoo. Shake the tin, spray the area that you wish to cover, leave for a few minutes and then brush through your hair. This seems to spray out in a fine, clear spray and unlike the other brand named one which comes out a bit white and powdery then you brush that one through your hair with your fingers. So I feel that this one is better as you don't have the Powdery bits flaking out your Hair when you rub this in.
I find that I really notice a difference with this Shampoo. It seems to mop the Oil up quickly and my hair looks fresh, clean and non Greasy which is great and hassle free.
The scent of this is nice. It is a Citrus scent and although at first it smells quite strong and perhaps a little Sour, when this is in your hair then it takes any stale scents out your hair and leaves behind a lightly Citrus scent.
This tin lasts me a good lenght of time since a small squirt of this goes a long way and although it is a little more expensive I think this product is woth it.
Worth a try if you are looking for a Dry Shampoo.
A few weeks ago I got the good news that I was being made full time at work. And because I was so happy I decided to have a little shopping spree for myself and treat myself to some new hair products - Ive been neglecting my poor locks a little bit recently!! TIGI is always my first port of call when it comes to hair products of any kind so I decided to treat myself to a few sets I found at a discounted price on amazon and this 'TIGI Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo' was one of the products contained in the set. Now for me dry shampoo is a necessity as I work funny shifts and dont always have time for a proper wash and blow dry but Id only ever used one brand before (Batiste) so I had no idea whether this one would match up or even be better but because of the brand name I must admit I expected big things. Im happy to report I have not been disappointed this is another smash hit from TIGI!!
Price: A 300ml can is around £5 (quite cheap for this brand IMO!)
Stockists: Amazon, Look Fantastic. the TIGI website & a lot of hair salons stock this brand.
Other Info: This product promises to - remove excess oils & odour from lifeless/dull hair, promises to make your hair look, feel & smell fresher. Also promises to save your hair from heat damage by ensuring you dont have to wash & blowdry it as much. Also adds texture and volume to tired locks.
*As far as I can tell this can be used on any hair length/type/colour. But it does say on the TIGI website that this one is ideal for thick hair - I dont have thick hair though and it works amazingly well so this is a product for anyone. I believe this one could even be used on men as well as its one of TIGI's less feminine products both look and scent wise!*

The packaging of TIGI products is always the first thing that attracts me to them and even though this one is a little more toned down than others its still really nice and a little bit edgy. This comes in a 300ml black and silver canister - like you would expect from a dry shampoo and it has a very rock chick (or dude!) look about it. Another great thing about this is the packaging is very unisex so women and men alike could have this in their bathroom without the fear or it looking to girly for the men or too masculine for the women - packaging wise it will appeal to everyone. On the front and back of the can is all the information you could need on the product - a small list of ingredients, directions for use, claims of the product, shelf life etc and should you need to know anything else there is an email address you can write to so all your questions should be answered. At the top of the can is the usual push down nozzle, like you would find on a body spray so packaging wise its pretty standard with an edge. Its very nice and effective in my opinion - and unisex!!

Normally I would add an ingredients list here but try as I might I cannot find a full list ANYWHERE on the WWW.! I would say if you have serious allergies to any ingredient normally used in hair products to email the company and make a query with them - that saves any disappointment when using this!
Using this is very simple as its no different from any other dry shampoo. You simply spray a small amount onto your greasy roots, wait a few minutes, work it through your hair and then brush through so all of your hair gets the benefit. Now here comes the thing I love most about this product - its totally colourless!! Now Im sure all other dark haired girls who have used dry shampoo will agree with me WE HATE the grey flakes it leaves behind when you accidently use a little bit too much! With this one you dont have that problem as it sprays out colourless and doesnt leave any residue or flakes in your hair whatsoever - although I still wouldnt recommend using laods and loads as that would make your hair feel very sticky and very matte (like using loads of hair spray!). Anyway applying it is very simple and can even be done on the go without using a mirror - I use this before starting work most of the time (we dont have mirrors there) and Ive always found it to work just as well and my hair always feels and looks better after Ive applied this. This is the perfect product for people who are planning on travelling or going to a festival and wont be able to wash your hair as often as you'd like - it really is like a wash and blowdry in a bottle, its just much faster!!

The scent was one thing I assumed I wouldnt like about this product. Its described as Citrus and that would not normally be my cup of tea! I thought it would smell a bit like furniture polish but Ive been amazed to find I really like the smell of this product. Yes it is very citrussy and lemony but not to the point where it smells overpowering or chemical. The citrus is very zingy and fresh and covers up every bit of stale cigarette odour on my hair for the whole day after Ive used it - even if I didnt like the smell anything is better than smelling like a giant cigarette. As with the packaging I believe the scent is also very unisex - its a very fresh, clean scent without being girly OR masculine so men and women alike would feel comfortable using and smelling like this product in my opinion - which I dont often say about products from this range as I would say they are usually aimed more at women - especially scent wise.
But even better than the smell is the results. I can say with 100% confidence this makes my hair look and feel so much cleaner and fresher when I use it. I love that it is colourless so I can use it on my dark hair as much as I like without any residue or flakes being left behind - that gives i the edge over other dry shampoos Ive used for a start. This helps my hair look cleaner and fresher without weighing it down or making it too matte or like I have loads of product on it - I normally use this 2 days in a row at most and Ive never found there to be a product build up in my hair so it does everything I wanted without any issues for me. Another thing I really like about this is the volume it gives to my hair. I dont know about other people but when y hair is in need of a good wash it goes very lank and dull looking but this gives it a serious boost and this does just that - gives my hair more volume without me having to wash and blowdry it for hours before it has that look. I would also say that using this has reduced the amount of times I wash and style my hair meaning I get less heat damage from my straighteners and hair dryer & means my colour has lasted much longer this time so everything about this product I love. There is literally nothing bad to say about it - yeah its a little more expensive than other dry shampoos but it is completely worth it for me!!

I have been looking into the Rockaholic range recently, after realising that I have purchased nearly all of the Bedhead products. The TIGI product concepts always interest me, along with their bottle designs which are really eye catching and the lovely scent of their products. The Rockaholic range seemed right up my street so I thought I'd give it a try!
This product sounded perfect for me. I have been buying dry shampoo from stores such as Boots for quite some time and it seems to be an 'in' thing at the moment, so I imagined that a dry shampoo by TIGI would be well.. Fab! As always, the exterior of the product is outstanding - their products always look great on a girls (or guys!) dressing table or in the bathroom and this is no exception. The dark bottle colour contrasted with the yellow/lime lid is a great combination that will catch anyones eye.
My main function for this product was to use the day after I washed my hair when it starts to look almost less fresh than the previous day. My hair is very thick and I find it gets oily, particularly through the months when it isn't hot enough for the sun to dry it out, and I notice how greasy it gets. I aim to wash it every other day as I dry to give my hair a break from the chemicals in shampoos and conditioners. To me, this seemed like the perfect solution.
So, I tried the product out when my hair started to look like it needed a wash and I was really pleased with the result. I shook the can well before use and sprayed it towards my roots as advised. The product can be rubbed or brushed into the hair to ensure it is absorbed properly. At first, it seemed great. My hair resumed its shine and looked fresh, although didn't really feel as though I had just washed it which was a bit of a let down. I was happy with it so far though. However, when I went out I noticed a couple of hours later that it had gone back to how it was before I put it on, perhaps even worse.
My verdict is that this product is great as a touch up for a short while, however the effects do not last and once they have worn off your hair will just feel limp. This product isn't an alternative to washing your hair, it just gets some shine and freshness back for a few hours. To be honest, I would rather make the effort to wash my hair - at least I know it'll last for the day, at least.
I love this dry shampoo from the Tigi range and it is an absolute must have when I go to festivals or on holiday as it provides a quick fix for your hair when you might not have chance to wash it. You can buy this online for around £6-7 or from some hair salons for anywhere up to £10. I picked up a can recently from my local Bodycare store for £5 which was a bit of a bargain so it is definitely worth shopping around for - in terms of value for money, a can generally lasts me about a year because you only need a tiny amount each time you use it, it therefore works out quite cheap.
Basically, you shake the can and spray it at the roots of your hair when they start to look a bit greasy (for me this is any day when I haven't washed it, virtually straight away). The stuff that comes out is strangely freezing cold and like a fine, white, powdery spray. Once it is on the roots it looks more like a powder than a liquid and you then massage it into your hair.
The effect is pretty much instantaneous and fairly impressive. It seems to dry out the greasiness of your hair and gives it the appearance of more fluffy, newly washed hair, it also seems to stop it sticking to your scalp and looking lank and heavy.
The smell of this spray is quite strong and a sort of fruity and floral scent. This is actually quite useful if you have been around smokers or have any cooking smells hanging around in your hair as it obliterates any nasty odours and makes your hair smell fresh as a daisy again. I have noticed that the scent does not linger all day though, only for a couple of hours.
You will not get away with using this two days in a row, unfortunately, the second time it will not particularly 'take' to the hair as effectively, I find. Really this is a bridging product to get you to your next shower! I find it particularly useful after a long haul flight as it will make my hair look decent until I can get to a hotel and sort it out properly and it is easy enough to apply in a small aeroplane bathroom.
Easy to use, very effective and good value for money, this is a product I would not want to travel without.
Tigi isn't a brand I buy very often, although I do love their shampoo and conditioners I think they're overpriced considering there are three of us in this house who all wash our hair every day so bottles of hair washing stuff don't tend to last long enough for me to splash out. And don't get me started on the Tigi styling range! I did have a few bits for Chrimbo though from a client of Marks who knows how much I love bathroom stuff in general, one item in my pressie being their Rockaholic Dry Shampoo.
This is basically a powder shampoo which you can use on those occasions when you haven't got the time (or inclination!) to wash your hair the normal way. The idea is to give the can a good shake then either spray on your hair to remove any grease, or spray along the length of your hair to freshen it up and make it look freshly washed. I've used it both ways and haven't been very impressed, much preferring to spend the extra few minutes in the bathroom washing my hair under the shower even if it means leaving the house with wet hair - after all, it's a proven myth that going out with wet hair will make you ill!
Rockaholic smells nice, and actually that's the only good thing about it! The smell is quite awkward to describe so all I can really say is that it's like a slightly perfumed baby powder, it's pleasant and the type of scent I like to use but unfortunately it doesn't last long to my nose so I'd actually prefer Tigi to have used something a little stronger. It has a fresh and uber girly scent, I can't for the life of me think why they came up with Rockaholic as a name as this is the least Rock-like smelling product I've ever smelled!
Spraying it onto the hair is easy, just make sure you've given the can a very good shake before you use it and you'll find the product will spray out smoothly and easily. The nozzle is angled nicely so you can spray it in any direction you need to, this is handy when you're just doing the roots of your hair as it allows you to get right up close to your scalp as well as underneath your hair and around your fringe area. Then simply leave the dry shampoo to work its magic and brush out.
Sounds good? Well, yes. But it isn't. For a start, the clean appearance doesn't last anywhere near the whole day and within a couple of hours of using it for the first time I was beginning to wish I had washed my hair properly. This won't make your hair *feel* clean so if, like me, you suffer from an itchy scalp if your hair is dirty then it will more than likely make this issue worse. To start with Rockaholic will leave your hair looking shinier (not dusty and grey, a'la Bastise Dry Shampoo) but this doesn't last long and after a while the grubby appearance of unwashed hair starts coming through.
The freshness doesn't last either. Even when spraying more than I really needed through my long hair (almost waist length) I didn't find it smelled or felt fresher than if I had just shoved it up in a ponytail, which is my usual way of dealing with hair that could do with a wash. As I wash my hair on a daily basis, I really only needed Rockaholic to freshen up the smell of my hair and help get rid of any lingering cigarette smoke from the night before. It couldn't manage this and after an hour or so I sniffed my hair and realised that I actually still smelled of stale Benson & Hedges, something I have been studiously trying to avoid since transferring from being an everyday smoker to a social (nights out only) one.
To add insult to injury, this can of Rockaholic will only do two or three applications which considering the price is not good at all. The first time I used it I only sprayed on my roots and on the hair at the nape of my neck, but when I shook the can I realised half of it was gone! I had to hide it then because if either of my girls' had seen and used it there would have been none left! Which wouldn't necessarily have been a bad thing, but I wanted to use it all up myself to really put the product through its paces.
£7.50 (or thereabouts) from any Tigi stockist.
I don't always like to wash my hair everyday as I like to give my hair a rest from shampoo's and conditioner, I have fine hair which is fly away after washing and drying and then it goes gresey after three days if I don't wash it again. Which means I have to wash it every other day or it drys out and begins to break.
I have found hair conditions changes with age and so to help it look good on the days I don't shampoo I use this Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo.
I like the name as it gives it a fashionable edge.
Dry shampoo's came out when I was younger in the 70's and I have tried them before so this one looked a good up to date choice as it is a trendy stylish black and silver aerosol spray.
This cost me £5 from the Savers shop in my local town but you can buy it from hair salons and online for around £7 for a 300ml can.
This is a little expensive but it's not for everyday use so you only need a light spray for it to work.
The spray is a light white dusty consistancy that is aimed at the roots of your hair and covers the ends of the hair at the scalp. Shake the can well before use and hold at least three inches away from the scalp for a good covering. The spray smells a little flowery which will freshen the hair and cover any smells of smoke if you've been out clubbing the night before and haven't had time to wash your hair.
My son uses this too as he's likes to burn the midnight oil so to speak.
Once the spray is on the hair gently massage it into the hair with the fingers, the hair will feel a little dry but should fluff up instead of sticking to the scalp. Then brush as normal.
Using too much spray will leave a white residue next to the scalp so go lightly.
The dry shampoo will leave the hair in a slightly better condition than before using it and for the quick and easy option if your late for an appointment or work and don't have time to wash your hair, then it is good in an emergency.
This isn't for everyday use and there's no point using it two days in a row as it will stick the hair together and make it look less shiney and lack lustre.
If your just in a hurry then this is ok to grab and spray.
I normally wash my hair every day because if i don't it looks very greasy and flat. i suppose when i bought this product i was being a bit lazy as i saw it as a good alternative to having to wash my hair every day. i have tried dry shampoo before and not liked it but i have always highly rated Tigi products and thought a dry shampoo from this brand might be worth a go. Like all Tigi products it is a bit expensive but i love the shampoos and conditioners so was quite happy to part with my money when i bought this from the local salon. I tried it straight away and at first i was impressed, it seemed to perk up my hair and make it shine. But as the day went on my hair became lank again and just felt unclean. I decided that perhaps i hadn't used enough of the product so a couple of days later i tried it again. But using more of the shampoo seemed to make it worse. My hair looked very greasy and had a straw like feel which i was very concious about. i also noticed i had white powdery clumps in my hair which looked like dandruff! Not a good look. I wasn't impressed. After experimenting a bit more with this product (after all it cost me a small fortune) i noticed that it didn't look to bad if i wore my hair up but i just couldn't tolerate the way it made my hair feel if it was down. Nevermind, i tried, but at the end of the day i don't believe there is a substitute for clean, freshly washed hair.
Have you ever had a bad hair day? I had loads of those recently which were not helped by using herbal essences new formula of shampoo and conditioner which had left my hair looking lifeless. I decided to treat myself to some really nice hair care products after getting a haircut so headed through to a designer discount outlet where they have Tigi products on sale. As well as buying some excellent shampoo and conditioner I decided to buy the Rockaholic dirty secret dry shampoo too for those days when I can't be bothered to have a shower and wash my long hair.
Dry shampoo works by absorbing any grease and dirt from your hair, I regularly use the Batiste brand which is excellent, unfortunately the Tigi dry shampoo which cost around £6 for a 300ml bottle from a discount store is not nearly as good.
The dry shampoo smells absolutely amazing, like lemonade and it is a lovely fresh smell. To use you spray the shampoo into your hair and leave it for a few minutes to absorb any dirt and then brush it out again taking any dirt out with the shampoo.
I found the dirty secret dry shampoo was only partially effective and not nearly as good as the cheaper batiste. If your hair is still almost clean then it looks good when you use the shampoo on but if you are sweaty after the gym or your hair is greasy then you might as well not bother using it for all the effect it has. As well as having a minimal effect on how my hair looks it still leaves it feeling dirty. I have experimented by using varying amounts of the dry shampoo but even using vast amounts of it makes little difference.
The good thing about the dry shampoo from Tigi is that it is nice and light so does not leave my scalp feeling itchy, it also leaves a nice fresh smell on my hair which lingers all day.
A poor product from Tigi which does not measure up to the excellence of their other products. Save your money and buy 3 cheap and cheerful bottles of Batiste instead of one can of dirty secret.
I bought this Tigi Dry Shampoo because I am getting sick of washing my hair every day, I wanted to start washing it every other day, but after one day of my hair being washed it is suddenly greasy and although it is not awful, I like the feel of my hair being completely clean. So I thought perhaps a dry shampoo would enable my hair to feel like it was just washed for an extra day.
I have used talc in powder before and although this removes the grease from hair it leaves your hair looking grey because of the colour of talc in powder being white.
***Where to buy this and how much is it***
You can buy it in most hair salons and it retails at £10.50. However there are many online shops where you can get two for £9.99.
***What did I think of it?***
Well to be honest I wasn't very impressed. I sprayed it through my hair and underneath it to get to the roots. It was slightly white in colour on my hair but once I had brushed it through my hair the white colour had disappeared so this was a pro against the talc in powder. However I didn't feel like it really made my hair feel as if it were washed, it just made it bare able not to wash it. So its claim that it removes excess oils from the roots didn't really take effect.
My main disappointment with it was that to get the closest feel to just washed hair, I had to spray a lot of it through my hair. This meant that I found within 3 weeks of use I had virtually used up the whole spray can and baring in mind that I only use it every other day, this is not great value for money.
I have seen a couple of other dry shampoos in Boots and I think I am going to try those out which retail around £5.99 rather than spending double that on what doesn't act as a salon product should do.
I do love many of the Tigi and Bed Head products but I was quite disappointed with this product, so I will keep searching for a better one. However it is not all bad news on this product, it did smell fantastic! It smelt quite tropical, but is the smell worth an extra £5 on other dry shampoos? I don't personally think so.
Tigi dry shampoo
I have recently been buying quite a lot of the Tigi products and this is one I bought in the hope that my hair would look (if not feel) clean even when I didn't have time to wash it.
This product promises to be "funktabulous", allowing you to leave your hair another day without washing and making hair smell fresh. It's supposed to absorb excess oil and the texture of the shampoo will allow you to have fabulous "up dos"!!
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The product comes in a funky 300ml can with a lime green pull off/push on lid. There are no instructions on the back so it's worth checking out the website, www.tigihaircare.com to make sure you're doing it right.
When I spray the can, a light mist of what looks like white powder comes out in a steady stream. It does, like most of the Tigi products, smell good- kind of fresh and fruity.
Shake the can well. For volume and texture, the product should be sprayed just at the roots and for the absorbtion of oil and odours, it should be sprayed all over the hair. Then, brush the hair or work the product to achieve the desired style.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
This is widely available in stores and online and the average price seems to be around the £7 mark.
I have tended to use this right through my hair which left it feeling ratty and dirtier; really dry and straw like. Given that it was a big bottle I persevered and used varying amounts but with the same result- not nice. I used in on a couple of occasions almost as a styling product to back comb my hair and this seems to work better although my hair still didn't in any way feel clean, just product loaded. It does smell nice when it is applied but this doesn't last for very long and it's quite difficult to rid your hair totally of the white powder, giving an almost grey sheen to hair.
The product is useful if you have hair which hasn't been washed for a few days and you want to style it but as an alternative to washing I would say a definite no. Far easier and probably quicker to wash hair than to struggle with the product.
