Timotei 2 in 1 Delicate Shampoo
Advantages: Nice initial scent
Disadvantages: Read review!
As a rule I do not like 2 in 1 shampoos and conditioners. I find that nothing beats a good cleanse followed by a separate conditioner and so I tend to avoid 2 in 1's nowadays.
However I spotted this in Asda costing £1.00 a bottle. Whilst waiting for my mate to finish buying whatever it was she wanted I took a sniff, passing some time really and loved the fragrance so much I decided at the price it's on offer at it was worth a trial!
300ml white plastic bottle with a dark green plastic flip-top lid to the top of it. On the front of the bottle there is a picture of vanilla and almonds and I am told that it is Timotei 'Beauty recipes from around the world', 2 in 1 Delicate, Normal Hair and that it is a 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner 'A blend of sweet almond oil from Spain known for its conditioning properties and vanilla flower known in Madagascar to nourish the hair'. On the back of the bottle other information given includes being told a bit more about the product (and in a foreign language), ingredients and the size is stated and contact details for Unilever (the manufacturer of the product) are given. It's actually a really nice looking bottle and its informative enough and easy to handle etc.
Well all you do is use this on wet/damp hair and repeat if desired. The liquid is a whitish colour and not too runny though of course not to thick either. It is smooth and feels moisturising when you plop it onto your hands and has a truly beautiful scent of vanilla infused with almond oil. It's a sweet but entirely natural sort of aroma and rather feminine.
It lathers up with total ease and although I have long hair down my back I find I only need to use about the size of a 5p twice (as I always rinse and repeat). It feels really moisturising when being used and it does rinse out easily.
Thats the positive aspects to using this. It goes downhill from there I'm afraid!
Once I dried my hair with a towel my hair feels really coarse and knotty and its near on impossible to comb through my hair. I lost loads of hair even using my tangle teezer and I could really feel I was ripping my hair out. When I did manage to get de knotted my hair felt sort of a bit greasy.
My hair dried naturally in minutes and it felt really dry. Usually my hair takes ages to dry naturally but not after using this. When I styled my hair my hair still felt dry with a weird texture like it still had some sort of soap residue in it (which it couldn't have had) and my hair was flyaway, hard to control and absolutely full of frizz.
The following day that initial scent had near on disappeared and my hair was hard to re-style and totally out of control which led to me having to wash my hair cos I couldn't be seen with it the way it was.
This is absolutely rubbish don't be fooled by the initial scent however could be fabulous for greasy hair! Me though, I hate it sadly and my bottle hit the bin cos I wouldn't insult anyone by giving it to them!
If not on offer this can be found in all good supermarkets etc costing around about £2.00 a bottle.
Summary: Disgusting stuff!
