Advantages: leaves hair soft and shiny, smells nice, cheap
Disadvantages: Not the most luxurious product, cheap
Having long hair, I go through a lot of shampoo and conditioner, so usually just buy which ever one is on special offer, which is how I came to buy a bottle of Timotei's strength and shine shampoo.
~About the product~
This is a shampoo for 'normal' hair and is scented with fresh herbs and kiwi. It claims to strengthen the hair from root to tip, and bring out 'gleaming shine.' It is dermatologically tested.
~Packaging~
This comes in a pale green bottle with a darker green flip top lid. There are two pictures on the front -one of a leaf, which I guess represents the herbs contained in this, and also a smaller picture of a kiwi. This is not the most exciting packaging ever - in fact it looks quite cheap - but it's OK.
~Using it~
The shampoo is green in colour and smells lovely. It has a very fresh scent, which smells quite leafy (if that makes sense) with a fruity edge. I have found that it doesn't take much of this shampoo to wash the entire length of my hair, and it lathers up really well too.
The scent of the shampoo really envelopes you, and it's really refreshing and it smells really clean. I use a lot of products on my hair, so sometimes have to wash it twice to get rid of all the build up, but with this I only need to wash it once, no matter how much stuff is in my hair, which is obviously a big plus point for me.
~Results~
From such a cheap brand, I was expecting this shampoo to get my hair clean and not much else, so I have been surprised at how lovely it makes my hair feel. My hair feels incredibly soft after using this, and actually looks quite shiny, rather than dull as it normally does and it smells lovely and fresh too. I wouldn't say that the results are spectacular, but there is definitely an improvement there, which I hadn't been expecting.
~Price~
This shampoo is widely available and costs around £2.39 for a 400ml bottle. I got mine at Boots, but the price is taken from the Tesco website.
~Conclusion~
This was a nice shampoo, and I was quite impressed with it, given the price. It is perhaps, not the best shampoo you will ever use, but it will leave your hair soft, shiny and smelling lovely and fresh, which for the price, I think is fantastic.
