Advantages: Adds lovely colour
Disadvantages: Can make hair rather lank...
I bought this shampoo (and the conditioner too, though that's not for here!) as I had died my hair darker and it had faded quite quickly leaving my hair dull. I had seen 'Henna Copper Radiance' advertised and it immediatly appealed to me as I wanted to add 'natural shine' and enhance the reddish colour of my hair.
--THE PACKAGING--
The packaging of the Henna Copper Radiance shampoo is funnily enough a copper colour! It has a lovely picture of natural henna, and an illustration of a henna tatoo - I don't know quite how relevant that is to a hair product! Overall it looks quite nice, you can see that yourself by looking at the pic anyway. I think it looks more expensive than it is - I picked up a set of the shampoo AND conditioner for just £2 from a local discount shop, which is exceptional value for money for a reputable brand of shampoo. It comes in a 300ml bottle, and as far as I have seen this is the only available size.
It claims to add 'Shine Highlights', and that 'The active power of nature brings you 100% natural beauty'. Whatever that means... Apparently 81% of women have percieved highlights in their hair after product usage. Always nice to know.
--THE PRODUCT--
The product itself matches the bottle and its claims in being copperey colour. It seems to have particles of glitter in it, it always bemuses me that producst claiming to add shine or highlights always seem to have glitter in them, when glitter blatantly isn't going to make your hair shiny! And if it did, it would just look like you'd been attacked by a seventies stylee disco ball. *End Rant* It has quite a thick consistency, but as a result you only need a little to acheive a really good lather. It must be said that at this point, it doesn't smell great... Kinda sweet and chemically to be honest.
--THE RESULTS--
I'm obviously one of the 81% of women it works for cos it certainly added a copperish hue to my hair. Though no highlights - but my hair was quite a light reddich brown at the time so I wasn't expecting any. My hair was left smelling absolutely scrumcious and I felt inclined to sniff it continuously. My hair was nice and soft though I can't say that it was very much more shiny. It was also a bit flyaway and ever so slighly lank - I cured this by washing alternately with another shampoo.
