Timotei Dandruff Control shampoo with extracts of Tea Tree and Myrtle comes in a 250ml white plastic bottle with a blue fliptop lid. The version I purchased was suitable for all hair types and for frequent use. The green liquid has a delicate light “herby” fragrance, which one would expect, as the bottle states that it is “Nature’s recipe”. Timotei shampoos are known for their use of wild herbs and natural ingredients. The tea tree in this formulation is obviously there to help treat the condition of the scalp. I have not come across the use of myrtle in a shampoo before, however, both tea tree and myrtle are known for their calming and balancing properties. I have to say that this Timotei formulation has left my hair looking full of health and radiant with a great shine. It is much milder than other branded dandruff shampoos which I have tried in the past – it does not have that “chemical” aroma which the others tend to have, and it leaves my hair smelling fresh and fragrant, which lasts all day. Only a small amount of this shampoo is needed to produce a rich creamy lather so the bottle lasts quite a while, which at around £1.59 per 250ml bottle, makes it quite economical. The instructions on the bottle recommends that the shampoo be used in conjunction with Timotei conditioner. I did not followed these recommended instructions, however, as previously mentioned, it still left my hair looking healthy and shiny. I have purposely not listed the ingredients as it is too long and boring! I cannot comment on whether or not this shampoo eradicates dandruff because I do not suffer with it - I actually bought the product because it was on offer (buy one get one free) and I love anything which contains tea tree. Elida Faberge makes the Timotei product range. If you have any questions or comments regarding their product, they invites you to call them free on 0800 5
