“ Brand: Timotei / Type: Hair Shampoo „
I have used Timotei shampoo before but not this one so thought I would give it a go.Price was ok at £1.98 although have since seen it for a £1However after using my scalp was left burning and my forehead had a bright red rash.So please be careful looks like this one is a bit strong.Shall be taking it up with the manufacturer in case this was a dough batch!
I used Timotei Shimmer Shine Shampoo over the course of a week when, unfortunately, I had to discontinue using it because it really didn't suit me at all. I am not here to say that this shampoo is awful, but more to point out that it really isn't suitable for everyone and for those with a sensitive scalp (like mine) it might not be the best product to try. I have a "normal" hair type and I do wash my hair usually once per day and so I need a shampoo which is gentle enough on my hair to use every day. In addition to this, I have a sensitive scalp which is prone to psoriosis. This shampoo unfortunately did not meet either of these requirements for me. The shampoo comes in a unremarkable plastic bottle with a flip top lid (which I prefer because I don't like screw tops as they are difficult to take off with wet hands). It has typical directions on the back of the bottle and a little product information. The scent itself is unremarkable - but it is perfectly pleasant and, in a way, it's actually quite refreshing to have a shampoo that is not heavily fragranced. Usually I find that that the lesser the fragrance, then the less my scalp is likely to react (although, as I've said, not in this case!). The shampoo is also a white colour - and I like the fact that it doesn't look like its packed with artificial ingredients to get just the right shade of orange! Using the shampoo is typical for any shampoo - simply wet, apply, lather and rinse. It lathers up nicely and it rinses easily - and so this part is good. Initially it left my hair feeling clean and fresh, but after a couple of applications I found that my hair was becoming greasy. As I said this, could be because I wash my hair every day - and so I do need a shampoo that is especially gentle. However, the most concerning this for me was that after a few washes it made my scalp itchy and eventually made the psoriosis on my scalp flare up - and so I discontinued use. This shampoo costs just £1 from Poundland - which is a great cost. However, if you have a sensitive scalp then I suggest that you stay away from this product, but I think it could be a good product for other people.
I hadn't used this product before until about two months ago when it was on offer in my local chemists. It was only £1.00 so I thought I would give it a go. Being someone whose hair goes greasy quite quickly, I am normally sceptical about shampoos that promise to make your hair shine as normally they do this by adding more moisturising ingredients. Anyway, I gave it a go and I was really pleased. Firstly, this product smells good, it is made using raspberry vinegar which probably explains why. Secondly, it was cheap, even at full price. Thirdly, there is a generous amount and you don't need to use much, this is coming from someone with long hair. Most importantly, it left my hair lovely and soft feeling, sleek and shiny. Unfortunately when I went to buy more I was told that this particular one is going to be discontinued, it'll be a shame if this is true. Overall, a great buy, it's cheap and it works well.
I have always been a fan of the timotei range I used to get the golden highlights shampoo but old age has turned my golden locks into dull mousy brown and so I decided on a recent trip to Tesco to try the shine and shimmer as lets face it deep down we all want lovely shiny locks. Cost and Stockist Timetoi comes in 300ml bottles and retails around £1.99 and is stocked by all major supermarket chains as well as Superdrug, boots and other large chemists. I purchased mine in Tesco on offer at £1.00 a bottle. What is it? The Timetoi shine and shimmer shampoo contains natural extracts to boost shine it helps to restore dull and lifeless hair with a very creamy feel to it this shampoo lathers well and feels lovely and smells divine and yet it is ph neutral as the advert used to say "so mild you can wash your hair as often as you like!" Does it work? My hair defiantly felt very tired and dull looking so this shampoo really had its work cut out immediately after washing with this my hair felt softer and defiantly looked shinier the natural tones in my hair seemed more vibrant indeed my husband asked if I had it cut as my hair looked different and he never notices anything! Recommendation I have long been a fan of Timetoi my Gran always used to wash my hair in it as a child and the Brand has grown offering a wide selection of different shampoos. I am happy that these will not strip my hair of natural oils as they are ph neutral. I am also happy that these are mild enough to use on my daughters soft hair as well she particularly likes the Golden one which I still buy in the summer months as it is gold she call it princess shampoo! All the Shampoos in the range our natural with scents from plants and fruit and at £1 a bottle they are an absolute steal so my advice would be to stock up and have super shiny glamorous locks.
I tend to pick up bargains in shampoos as I shop rather than wait until I am running out. At the end of the summer time, I picked up this Timotei shimmer shine shampoo for £1 in Asda for a 300ml bottle, which I thought was good value, given that it usually retails just under the £2 in most supermarkets. Now, I have tried various shampoos in the Timotei range before, and I have always liked them and found them to leave my hair in good condition, but I had never seen this particular shampoo before. The bottle itself is white with a green lid, and at the front bottom is a picture of some raspberries, pearls, and rose petals to reflect the various ingredients in this shampoo. It also states that this shimmer shine shampoo is for normal to dull hair and is part of a range of 'beauty recipes from around the world;. At the top front of the bottle, it claims that this shampoo offers a 'blend of rose oil from Chile and pearl extract from China, renowned for their conditioning virtues:combined with raspberry vinegar known for its shining properties'. On the reverse of the bottle, it tells you more about the shampoo including that it helps to 'restore dull hair for a natural shine' as well as producing hair with a 'light texture that does not weigh down the hair, for amazingly soft to touch end results'. There is no real overpowering scent with this product, and in fact it just has a fresh clean common shampoo smell. I have been using this shampoo for just over a month now (I rotate my shampoo's) and I cannot believe how unbelievably soft it makes my hair once I have dried it. My hair is fine and very fly away and is, in general soft, however, I have never used a shampoo that makes my hair feel so so soft from root to tip and this lasts all day. It also leaves your hair very shiny and looking in great condition, and although it is not menionted in the information on the bottle, I do think it gives me fine hair some volume as well. I cannot recommend this shampoo highly enough, and although I wouldn't tend to buy shampoo's at full price, as I tend to buy what is on offer, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this at full price, as the results in terms of softness and shine on your hair are incredible. A great shampoo and finally one that does exactly what it claims....and more!!
