*~* About Toni & Guy's Colour Reviver Cranberry Red Shampoo *~* I saw this product for the first time for sale in my local Home Bargains for only £1.79 for a 250ml bottle. I was initially drawn to this shampoo as I recognised Toni & Guy as being a somewhat expensive haircare line and thought that for under £2 this was surely an excellent buy. Moreover, the vibrant red colour of the shampoo also enticed me to pick it up, as I thought that this was rather unique. Upon closer inspection I found out that this particular shampoo in the cranberry red shade was most suited to those with red hair. However, I did suspect this as I thought that the red colour of the shampoo meant that it must contain henna. I was chuffed with my find as often in my view many shampoos designed for specific hair colours often neglect us redheads. This shampoo claims to add intensity and increase the vibrancy of the highlights/colouring in your hair. It also promises to prevent your colour from fading. To be honest I did not really have high hopes for this product. I thought if anything that it may just be a better shampoo than the basic brands that I am used to such as Alberto Balsam and Wash and Go. Using this product could not be any simpler and you just use it just in the exact same way that you would use regular shampoo. The shampoo has a rather gloopy consistency and a nice scent in my opinion. I found that it lathered very well and that a 50p sized amount of the product was more than adequate for the job. *~* My Opinion *~* After using this shampoo I was totally impressed and very surprised with the results. I am a natural redhead but like to dye my hair a darker shade of red. At the point in time when I first used the colour reviver shampoo my colour was rather faded and lacked any differing tones. However, the shampoo really brought out these tones of red that had been there prior to the fading and my hair looked really vibrant, as if the colour had been injected right back into it. I went to ask my mum if she could notice a difference in my hair to make sure I wasn't deluded and before I could even ask her she immediately asked me if I had dyed my hair again. Nothing screams brilliant results better than that eh? Nonetheless, I would suggest when using this shampoo to use old towels and to make sure that you are not wearing anything that you would hate to get stained. I noticed that this product stained my fingers, towels, t-shirt and bath bright red, but this was easy to remove and no trace of the red goo was left after a good wash. Just be wary on this front though as it can be rather messy! As I say, I was utterly impressed with this shampoo and the next day I rushed out to Home Bargains to stock up on another 6 bottles, as for £1.79 it is a total bargain considering how brilliantly it performs. Moreover, it is even better value for money when you take into account how much more Toni & Guy shampoos can retail for in the likes of Boots. *~* Overall *~* I cannot rave about this product enough. I use it each time that I wash my hair and find that it is the best product out there specifically for redheads that actually maintains the colouring of my hair. Nevertheless, other shades are available to suit those with brown and blonde hair, so nobody is left out. I would definitely recommend this product to those who have highlights or dye their hair frequently and would just like to maintain the intensity of the colour or inject some life back into drab, fading dyed hair. 5 out of 5 from me!
