Thiis is great for taking away on holiday or overnight stays due to the size. Its not to much so your left with lots and not too small, small and perfect.
[The packaging I beleive has changed]
This is a pretty basic shampoo from Toni and Guy had I known I possibly wouldn't have picked it up, as I need something for frizz and thick hair. However this was a good little product but it didn't add anything other.
I had to use a more than the normal amount I do as this didn't seem to work through my hair as easily or lather up as well as others.
I really had to apply more water and scrub my scalp that bit more to make a difference. The scent was okay but a little on the masculine side for me, it definitely wasn't salon like or what I experienced in the hairdresser.
For cleansing I thought this was good and I was pleased with the condition of my hair my roots didn't feel or look lifted but I did have that clean sensation that the product build up had been removed, but it lacked shine or volume even using this with the conditioner this left my hair flat.
This is expensive for a basic shampoo £6.49 but on the upside, if you have sensitive skin or thin hair this may be good for you but if you need treatment of some sort I wouldn't recommned this.
Another plus is they do package thes ein a gift box with all the essentials with is nice to hand out as gifts. x
Toni and Guy daily style shampoo
I have no loyalty to any hair products probably because I am still searching for that perfect product, and so tend to buy whatever is on offer or what catches my eye when shopping.
Toni & Guy Daily Style Shampoo is a shampoo designed for use on all hair types and give it a more refreshed look. As the name proposes, this shampoo is suitable for daily use and apparently leaves hair nicely ready for styling.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The shampoo comes in a250ml plastic bottle with the name of the product in large red letters down the side of the bottle- quite bright, and certainly one which could be easily missed. The bottle has a pump action to dispense the product and I find a couple of presses on the pump mechanism is sufficient to wash my hair, although I always give it two washes.
The shampoo itself is clear and whilst not overly thin in texture it isn't so thick that it gets trapped in the bottle and it does come out of the dispensing pump with very little effort. It doesn't have a really strong scent and what it is is so slight as to be almost indiscernible, but what there is, is a very slightly fruity smell although not sufficient to longer on my hair after washing.
USING THE SHAMPOO...
It should be used as any other shampoo; wet hait, apply shampoo and work to a lather before rinsing off. I try not to use too much shampoo on my hair as I find that too much sometimes leaves a build up of the product. This does a decent job of lathering up but it is quite a light shampoo and so doesn't feel all bubbly and overly heavy on my hair. It is nice and easy to rinse off and I find it simple to get that "squeaky" hair feel.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
The shampoo is widely available in supermarkets and chemists and usually costs around the £3 mark, so god value for a bottle of shampoo this size.
A decent enough shampoo which is easy to use and gives good results. Little Miss tends to wash her hair more often than I do and uses this three times a week as it is light enough for her to be able to get all of the shampoo out of her hair herself, and seems to leave her hair looking light and not dragged down with products.
Its not especially moisturising and for me, with my normal to dry hair, I find I have to apply a conditioner after using this shampoo. I don't find styling my hair any easier after use but hair is clean and healthy looking.
Good for every day use and certainly one which would probably be good to take on holiday.
Thanks for reading
I got lots of Tony & Guy gift box sets with many different products in them a few Christmas's ago. Most of the products were small and sort of trial size goods and so perfect for taking away on short trips. I have used a few of the Toni & Guy Daily Style Shampoo over the years.
Tony & Guy
Tony & Guy products originate from the Tony & Guy salons that you see dotted across the country. The brand became very successful and started producing their own hair care products both in salons and on the high street, including shampoos, conditioners and styling products.
Toni & Guy Daily Style Shampoo
The daily style shampoo comes in a cylindrical bottle that is long and thin in shape. The bottle is an opal or silvery colour, with huge Tony & Guy branding across the front in bold red lettering. The daily style shampoo is written under this and some product info. My bottle coming from a set is a small 75 ml size; the regular sized shampoo is 250 ml. The lid is a screw on and off cap, which I find a bit annoying and fiddley when you're in the shower.
The shampoo itself is a really nice colour, similarly to the bottle the shampoo is a nice opal colour and extremely thick and lustrous. It seems to take forever for the shampoo to come out of the bottle it is that thick! There is a slight fruity smell to this product, but it's main scent is a clinical salon smell! They seemed to have managed to put Tony & Guy into a bottle.
You need a fair amount of the product on your hair in order to get a good lather and coverage, I would say I probable use twice as much as I would my normal Tresemme shampoos in order to feel that I have cleaned my hair thoroughly.
This is the 'Daily style shampoo' and so is suitable for use on all different types of hair and the product supposedly gives your hair a more refreshed and revitalised look, I would say that it is a bit too gentle which is probably why I end up using so much of it at a time. It also doesn't make my hair feel very conditioned after washing, although it is not advertised as a conditioning product I would expect a bit more nourishment in it, especially as a salon product.
I am not overly impressed with this shampoo, I will use it as my travel shampoo as and when but I have not rushed out to the shops to buy a full sized version. For a one off wash it is fine but I find it is too gentle and doesn't clean and nourish my hair as much as I would like. A 250 ml bottle will cost you £5.99 (RRP), though it is commonly on offer in Bo0ts and Semichem - not one for me!
Just before Christmas my mom decided to give me a few of my presents early, one of which was a large set of Toni & Guy hair products which I have to say I was VERY pleased with. One of the things Ive decided to make more of an effort with in the New Year is my hair so I was pleased to have some new & expensive products to use on my newly cut locks. So straight away I started using the 'Toni & Guy Daily Style Shampoo' as its one of the things in the set that Id never actually heard of before let alone used. I guess I had pretty high expectations for this product - due to the brand name I think - and even though I do really like it, I dont think it was as good as I expected - or whether Id buy another bottle for myself.
Price: £5.29 - 250ml bottle.
Stockists: Boots & Superdrug.
Other Info: Also available in a 75ml bottle. This shampoo is said to gently cleanse & refresh your hair which is perfect to use before styling.
This shampoo comes in a white & red 75 ml bottle - its a block colour BUT you can still see how much product you have left so thats pretty good. On the back of the bottle is all the information you could possibly need - shelf life, ingredients, directions for use ETC. so if you have any questions they should be answered with the bottle. The bottle I personally have is a sample bottle so it doesnt have a flip cap or anything you will need to screw the top on and off to use the shampoo - which is annoying but Im assuming the bigger bottles will have a better design so I cant complain too much.
The shampoo itself is clear in colour and feels a lot like a VERY thick gel - which does mean its slightly harder to lather it up - it will lather up really well eventually but it doesn take a bit of work! The shampoo smells nice - but nothing more - it reminds me of the White Musk scent you can get from The Bodyshop which is very pleasant but not amazing - and the scent doesnt last very long on my hair anyway so thats quite a let down for me.
This does make my hair feel very refreshed and clean but I dont think it maks it any more so than cheaper shampoos Ive used in the past. Ive found it definitely works better when used alongside the matching conditioner and it does make my hair feel pretty great - but not fantastic like I was expecting. It leaves my hair feeling clean, its easy to brush through afterwards + makes it much easier to style so really it does do everything it says on the bottle. However I dont think Id spend so much more on this, than my normal shampoo when they do the exact same job.
If you can afford it I do recommend but cheaper shampoos do the job just as well. Thanks for reading.

I stole my boyfriend's bottle of Toni and Guy Daily Style Shampoo after he said he did not like it as he felt that it made his scalp dry. As he had only used it once I decided that I may as well use it, but I wasn't impressed with it either.
* * * *The Packaging* * * *
The bottle is a tube sort of shape with a pump style dispenser. The outside of the bottle is white with the red Toni and Guy logo written vertically up the side. It has a clear plastic lid.
The packaging itself is quite nice. It fits in with the rest of the Toni and Guy range and looks clean and neat. The shampoo claims to be 'Gentle Cleansing for Pre-Styling'.

My boyfriend received this shampoo as a gift but looking around the price seems to be roughly £5 for 250ml. Although this isn't expensive in comparison with other premium brands I don't feel that it is worth any more than the lower budget, mainstream brands. This shampoo can be bought from Boots and is now sold in many of the supermarkets.
* * * * Application * * * *
I liked the pump dispenser at first as it makes it very easy to use and prevents any spillages but it soon became annoying. I found that I needed to press the pump five or six times just to get a 2p sized amount of shampoo on my hand as such a tiny amount comes out with each press of the pump. The pump also caused problems when I had used about 2/3 of the shampoo it became really hard to get any more liquid out using the pump even though there was a lot left in. I had to tilt the bottle to try to actually get some out and ended up just taking the lid off and pouring it out. I found that the bottle didn't last very long considering its size.
The liquid itself had quite a strong chemically smell, this may appeal to some people as it did smell very clean. I personally prefer a more subtle or floral smell. The liquid itself is clear and quite a thin consistency. The worst thing about this shampoo was that it was almost impossible to lather up, this meant that it did not feel as though it was cleaning my hair properly. When rinsing it out my hair felt really knotty which it doesn't usually. I felt as though I needed to use a lot of conditioner just to try to get rid of the knots.
When brushing through my hair it still felt much more tangled than usual but once I it had been blow dried my hair felt very soft and smooth and looked shiny and healthy. Although the finishing results were good I don't think they are any better than one of the cheaper brands such as Herbal Essences or L'oreal. As Toni and Guy is a Salon brand and slightly more expensive I was expecting something better. Using conditioner was essential as if I didn't my hair felt really dry. The conditioner I used was an Aussie conditioner and not the Toni and Guy Daily Style conditioner. I did not want to pay out for the conditioner as I was so unimpressed with the shampoo.
* * * *Overall Experience* * * *
I would not buy this product again. I did not enjoy washing my hair with it as it didn't lather up so I didn't feel like I was cleaning my hair properly. Although the end results were good they were not good enough to justify all of the time I had to spend trying to comb the knots out of my hair. I don't think that it is worth £5 as it doesn't last long and doesn't do a very good job. Not recommended.
Toni & guy is a well respected hair care brand. I have used several of the Toni & guy hair care products from gift sets and individual items including the hair spray, heat protector and leave in conditioners.
Toni & Guy daily style was the first shampoo I had used from the Toni & Guy range; it's priced at £5.29 for 250ml.
The shampoo comes in a white bottle with a clear white plastic lid. The packaging looks very trendy with its bold red "Toni & Guy" logo on the front. In black writing underneath the funky logo it claims to be "Gentle cleansing for pre-styling"
Overall, I'd give the packaging a 4/5 because although the colours are quite simple The Toni & Guy products always manage to stand out compared to the other hair care brand products because they always have a bold logo on the front in a tube like container instead of the more boring choice of a nail varnish remover type bottle.
So after using various Toni & Guy products I had high hopes that the shampoo was just going to be as good as the other products I had previously used. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the shampoo. If you don't like shampoos that lather up then I recommend this shampoo for you.
For people like me who despise shampoos that it is almost impossible to get a good lather unless you add most of the shampoo to your hair then please don't even bother getting it and save the £5.29. I struggled to lather this product up so much I had to use another shampoo on the side to help lather it up because I was worried it wasn't going to clean the whole of my hair and I didn't fancy going out in public with unclean hair.
Another downside to the Toni & Guy daily style shampoo is the smell, at first for some unknown reason I found the smell quite nice but now I really loathe it. It smells a little like the other Toni & guy products before I had no problems with the smell of the products but that might be because I don't use a lot of the products on my hair I tend to use just a small amount whereas I had to use a large amount of this shampoo because of the lather so it smelt really strong.
After rinsing the shampoo out of my hair the smell of my hair wasn't as bad, in fact it smelt ok... it definitely wasn't as bad as when it was in my hair. First thing I noticed after leaving the shower was my hair was really knotty, it's not very good at getting any knots out of the hair, most of my other shampoos get the knots out when I have rinsed the product out so when I am out of the shower my hair is completely knot free and feels really smooth, unfortunately this wasn't the case with this product, my hair felt dry and knotty which I really didn't expect from a Toni & Guy product.
I complained to a friend about the product and she suggested I got the daily style conditioner because it's more than likely the reason why my hair felt dry and knotty because it needed a bit of moisturising. I wasn't sure whether to follow up the advice but after reading a few of the reviews on the daily style shampoo where people claimed the product was fantastic I decided I may as well give it a go because it may just be that my hair is a little dryer then there's so a bit of conditioner afterwards may make a huge difference.
The daily style conditioner was surprisingly a lot better than the shampoo, I applied this to the ends of my hair and it completely removed the knots out of my hair despite the manufacturer not claiming it gets rid of knots. My hair did feel a lot softer then when I had just used the shampoo on its own. All together I had spent about £10.55 on making one shampoo work, I would usually spend about £5-£6 on a shampoo that would have a decent lather and not need extra assistance on making my hair feel soft and knot free but I must admit the results of the product when used together is pretty good. I definitely won't be buying the products again when I run out because I have used shampoos that are exceedingly better. The conditioner was really good quality and I might get this again and use it with another shampoo it's just a shame about the smell!
Overall, this product is good for people who don't like shampoos that lather up and prefer a more lightweight style shampoo that isn't heavy on the hair. I'm guessing this product doesn't cause as much build up on the scalp then most products because of how light weight it is. It is just a shame that it doesn't lather up well or I may give it a higher rating.
I'm a bit of an addict when it comes to buying hair and beauty products. In fact I often buy products and forget I have bought them. Which is exactly what I did with the Toni & Guy Daily Style Shampoo.....
The shampoo from Toni & Guy comes in a white plastic 250ml bottle with a clear white plastic push on lid with a pump dispenser. The Toni & Guy brand is written in bright red font so it stands out that this is a salon brand.
This is a pump dispenser which is handy when you are in the shower and have wet hands but the pump dispenses only a small amount of product. This is quite annoying as you need a fair amount of product, therefore on my hair each time I use this product I have to press the pump dispenser about 6 times. When the amount of product in the bottle gets quite low you have to unscrew the dispenser lid in order to get the remaining product out of the bottle. Otherwise if you throw away once the pump stops dispensing product you will waste quite a lot of product.
The packaging states that this product is for "easy maintenance everyday. This gentle formula gets rid of the grime leaving your hair reinvigorated, shiny and revitalised"
The packaging overall is very stylish and has that "cool" salon look to it, great for those that like trendy product bottles on display in their bathroom.
A 250ml bottle costs £4.99 from Boots. Tesco also sell this product for £4.59. For a salon brand this is an average price if compared to the price of similar sized bottles of shampoo from other "salon" brands.
However as an everyday shampoo (which is what the product is recommended for) I feel that this is very expensive and there are more effective shampoos for a much lower price and not for people that are on a budget.
The 250ml bottle of shampoo also is used up quite quickly as you need to use quite a lot of shampoo during each use. I went through a bottle of this shampoo from Tonu & Guy in 3 weeks (using daily) which I find excessive as other brands of shampoo in the same sized bottle last a lot longer.
The directions for use on the packaging are "wet hair lather up, rinse well, condition".
When the product is dispensed from the bottle it comes out as a clear gel. I found that this is quite thick for a shampoo. I also found that I needed to press the pump around 6 or 7 times to get enough product to use on my hair and clean it sufficiently, which I found quite excessive. As the consistency of the shampoo is quite thick it required a lot of effort to lather up in my hair and did not create a lot of lather in the same way as other shampoos do. Initially I was concerned that my hair was not going to feel as clean but this is not the case.
The scent of the product is very light. This is quite a fruity scent without being overpowering. I feel that the shampoo smells of apricots and peaches but as this scent is so light it really is just a generally "fruity" scent.
The shampoo rinses very easily out of hair and I felt that my hair felt very clean and had almost a squeaky clean feel to it. I conditioned my hair after using this product (using Toni & Guy Daily Style Conditioner) therefore the results are based on using the shampoo and conditioner together.
Once I had finished washing and conditioning my hair I towel dried it and it felt clean and had a nice light fruity scent to it. What was noticeable was that my hair felt clean and not at all sticky and that it still has product remaining in it.
I dried my hair using a hair dryer as I normally would and once dry my hair felt and looked really clean. The shampoo from Toni & Guy is very light and I definitely feel that it lived up to the claims on the bottle that it removed grime and left hair shiny.
My hair had a nice shine to it and felt clean. I washed my hair in the morning using this product and by the evening it still had a nice clean feel to it and the light fruit scent was actually still apparent which I found surprising. Often my hair by the evening starts to feel greasy with some shampoos.
I feel that this product is probably better suited to those with normal to greasy hair as opposed to dry hair as it keeps hair clean all day but probably does not add as much moisture to hair which is needed for drier hair types.
This is an effective shampoo and leaves hair in great condition, hair feels clean and not at all weighed down by product and the shampoo leaves hair smelling great. BUT it is not a brilliant product and for the money I feel that it is overpriced and there are much better salon quality shampoos on offer for a similar or lower price.
My advice would be if you want to use a "salon quality" shampoo then opt for a shampoo from the TRESemme range as they are much cheaper than the Daily Fix Shampoo from Toni & Guy and have better results.

I bought the Toni & Guy Daily Style Travel Size (75ml) Shampoo to meet the hand luggage requirememts of transporting liquids in 100ml containers or less.
The Tony and Guy Shampoo range has different products for different hairtypes, since I could not find one for dry hair at the time of buying, I went for the daily cleanse shampoo.
The shampoo comes in a small cylindrical tube about 5 inches tall andjust slightly over an inch thick. The bottle is quite trendy with a light silver finish and the brand logo in a classic red colour. Most of their other shampoos had brighter coloured logos such as pink/purple or turquoise, these were not suitable for my hairtype but I did prefer the bottles.
The shampoo itself comes out as a clear gel and lathers up well so only a moderate amount of shampoo is required in relation to the amount of hair a person has.
The smell is quite neutral in the sense that it is not overpowering, which I think is good for daily use, and has a clean salon type of smell. While I would describe it as a unisex smelling product it would probably be leaning slightly more towards a feminine smell than a masculine one.
Overall I like the product and for travel use I will buy it again. Also I think it is a good product to keep in a gym bag, again due to its size. However, since I use other products for thinning hair I would not use it everyday but use it on the days that I am not applying other products. The product was well priced at about £1.95 in boots and as part of a bigger offer to buy 1 get 1 free or half price. However, it could be more economical to buy the 250ml version if using regularly. Since it is a Tony & Guy product it has an added appeal as a quality professional product and since it is competitively priced this definately was an incentive to buy it. It is hard to think of any disadvantages, the tube itself is quite hard so as the product is running out you may have shake the tube as opposed to just squeezing, like you might with other types of bottle but in my opinion this is really neither here nor there.
Very clean and sleek looking bottle, with simple red and white detailing. I like the tall tube style of the bottle.
Toni & Guy hair products smell very nice as a whole, and this one is no exception. When on the hair in the bath or shower it smells like when hairdressers wash your hair, a very proffesional, and clean smell.
Come out as a clear liquid, slightly runny, so you have to get it on your head pretty quick.
Ease of Use
The bottle is very difficult to figure out! It took about ten minute for me to find out how to open the squeezer so the shampoo would actually come out of it. My advice is to do this before you get in the shower. I stil don't know how I did it. I didn't like how the hole for the shampoo was very small, it takes about 6-10 plunges before you get an adaquate amount out.
The shampoo didn't go crazy with lather, but did have a medium amount of lather power. I use two applications though usually for maximum power. After the shower it left my hair smelling clean and feeling soft and managable.
10/10 for smell and effectiveness, but the small nozzle and slightly dissapointing lather power let it down a little. All in all, even though its slightly pricey at around £5 a bottle, it lasts me a while and makes my hair feel clean and soft. I would reccomend it.
I am always on the lookout for good quality shampoos and conditioners so when I was in my local Boots recently I decided to give the Toni and Guy range a try. The information on the stand told me that Toni and Guy was a range of professional hair care famous created for use in exclusive salons. This sounded impressive to me so I decided to give the range a go.
I like to wash my hair every day as it is very unruly and really needs to be styled into shape! With this in mind I bought a bottle of the daily style shampoo as it promised it was mild and suitable to use every day. The bottle is round and has a twist off top with a pump action dispenser. I like the white bottle with its red writing; it looks sophisticated and shouts quality.
When I first used this shampoo I was surprised at the amount I had to use to get a half decent lather. The shampoo itself is clear and has a gel consistency. Even with several pumps I still can't really get a decent lather. The next disappointment was the smell of this shampoo. It smells like a very old fashioned, cheap scent and I absolutely hate it! Luckily once you rinse your hair the scent seems to disappear!
I always condition my hair after washing and it is usually soft and manageable. However after using this shampoo my hair was very frizzy and lacked any body. Not one to waste money I continued using this shampoo for several weeks to give it a fair try, however the results were always the same!
If you want to try this shampoo out for yourself then it is available in Boots priced at £4.88 for a 250 ml bottle.
I received this Daily Style Shampoo for christmas along with the Daily Style Conditioner.
I admit I'm one who stands infront of a mirror for as long as it takes for my hair to look good, depending on how long my hair is.
So I only buy, the best products to put in it. Although in this case it was asking for it as a christmas present.
It's served me brilliantly even though at first it took me ages to work out how to open it. Still, once you've managed it first time you don't have to spend ages next time almost breaking your fingers whilst trying to pry it open. Like I did.
After applying it to your wet hair and lathering it up, just rinse it off and follow up with the Daily Style Conditioner which I strongly advise.
It leaves you hair soft, smooth, refreshed and ready for styling.
Another shopping trip and this time I needed nothing so what's a girl to buy???? I mean I can't leave without purchasing something that's just not on at all and without my cash Boots could close down! I needed shampoo (honest) and I came across the Toni & Guy stand. I love the packaging and the trendy feel to the brand so I thought it was about time I put something to the test and so I chose this.
Toni & Guy Daily Style Shampoo, gentle cleaning for pre-styling.
250ml pump action recyclable white bottle with clear, frosted white plastic push on lid. Red and black writing on the front of telling me what the product is and who it is by. On the back tells me directions for use, warnings, ingredients and contact details for Toni & Guy. (I do love the packaging, very funky!)
Wet, lather and repeat if required and follow up with Toni & Guy Conditioner.
I chose this cos I just wanted an ordinary everyday mild shampoo. I always buy specialist shampoos and conditioners, frizz destroyers, colour enhancers and after getting through tons of disappointing John Frieda products lately I wanted something plain and simple. I mean you can't go wrong I thought, after all I only want something mild!
For this review I am only reviewing the shampoo as I have used the shampoo alone, with a leave in conditioner and I do own the matching conditioner and will review that separately as some people only do buy one or the other etc.
Is clear and like a gel in consitency. It smells fresh, clean and light. Ever so slightly fragranced but I'm not sure of what I think the fragrance is. It's like fruit oils but like I say it really is very light. Now don't be fooled into thinking you only need one pump and your away. This product doesn't come shooting out per pump it needs a few pumps to get some out cos like I say it's gel like in consistency and to get a lather up on your barnet you need a fair whack. I use 6 pumps on my shoulder length hair sounds alot but it isn't, it only dispenses as I said a little squirt each pump.
It lathers up great into a good rich creamy lather that isn't overpowering in smell. The thing I do like about this product is rinsing it out is easy as anything and you can feel as its rinsing out that there is no residue left weighing the hair down left. Hair isn't greasy or limp and whilst removing the product you can feel there isn't any knots and that if you don't want to use conditioner for any reason you really don't have to as hair isn't left 'squeaky clean' as in dried out.
I have noticed when getting out of the shower or bath that my hair is very easy to comb through and hair feels very defined. I don't suffer 'fluffy hair' and I do believe it is easier to style as a result as I have no fly-aways either. My hair is soft and reasonably shiny and I'm happy to use this as a starting point ready for my styling regime.
It doesn't make any huge claims and that's why I like it. It's simple in its approach. It cleans my hair. It doesn't make a huge heap of claims on promoting my shine and eliminating frizz though to me it does..... quietly.
Nice every day shampoo for male or females of any age, just remember it doesn't claim miracles!
