“ Brand: Toni & Guy / Type: Hair Spray „
This is the only hairspray I will ever use.
It is more costly than other hairsprays, it costs around £5 for a small one, and you can buy a lot cheaper ones, but they just aren't as good.
I have hair that can be straightened or curled, and no matter which of the two I am doing I find this hairspray the best. It really helps with straightening as it stops my hair going static and with the curling it really helps keep them in place.
The good thing about this hairspray is that it really does hold things in place, you can use it for a night out and you wont have to re-apply it at any point. It doesn't make your hair stiff like some sprays, and it also gives hair a really nice shine, as long as you don't use too much. I find if you use too much it can make your hair look a bit greasy but that is only if you really use loads.
It smells ok, as hairsprays go, but it doesn't leave that horrible hairspray smell on your hair at all.
I have used this product for at least 3 years, even my husband uses it as well. It works really well for all hairstyles and really holds your hair in place.
I've been using this spray for absolutely ages, and I think it's probably the best hairspray I have ever used.
I bought the giant 250ml can of it because I just use it so much, this costs around £5 which I feel is really good value considering how long it lasts. I also have the little 50ml bottle too which cost around £1.50. I initially bought this to take to festivals with me, but it lasted through all of them and now I keep it in my bag in case I need to fix my hair on the go. The packaging is pretty plain, with a silver bottle and red writing which makes it quite unisex... I even found a bottle in one of my guy friend's bedrooms one day.
The spray itself gives really good hold, especially to curly styles like I usually wear my hair. It doesn't make your hair all crusty like some other hairsprays do too, but it brushes out nice and easily if you want to change your style or mess it up. I found that it also helps to keep volume and stops my hair from going flat which is great.
I would totally recommend this product, it does just what a good hairspray should, without you feeling ripped off for it, plus if you buy it from Boots they often have deals on their premium haircare range... bonus!
I first got this hairspray last year for Christmas in a set with some other Toni and Guy products like a heat protection spray, shampoo and conditioner and have bought it again since as I fell in love with it!
The ingredient contents is a long list of boring chemical names such as dimethicone copolyol and butlyphenyl methylpropional! The aerosol can does not contain any CFCs which is always good as they are rather nasty to the ozone layer!
The packaging is simple but effective with a plain white background and bold red font with the logo 'TONI&GUY' and a silver lid. The overall design of the aerosol is pretty simple too with sleek lines and a standard spray top which works just fine for the job!
Now on to the actual product. The spray top is very easy to operate and doesn't tend to get clogged (I have had this problem with hairsprays before as there is often sticky residue left on the nozzle which blocks the hole that the spray comes out of- although a quick session under the warm water tap usually sorts it out).
It sprays evenly and consistently which is good and I usually spray about 4 inches from my hair- as instructed on the can. The substance in the spray works really well to hold hair without leaving it too sticky and without that 'crispy' look that you get with some hairsprays. The spray also brushes out of the hair really easily which is handy.
I find that the spray is long lasting- I only spray it on once in the morning when going to college and find that this keeps my hair in place all day- although my hair is pretty fine so if you have thicker hair you may need to re-spray.
One of the best things about this product is that it has a great smell! Most similar products have a very harsh chemical type scent that isn't great as your hair tends to soak up smell and release it through the day.
All in all, I think this hairspray is great and I got a small one- 50ml for about £2 which although is a little expensive- personally I think is worth the extra price!
This is an absolutely superb product that I have started using recently. I find it extremely versatile and even know a lot of men that use this product as its packaging comes across very unisex compared to most other brands. This is a brilliant hairspray for almost any style and is very flexible and easy to brush out and start again if the need be. I use it a lot when curling my hair and unlike other brands of hairspray I have used I have found it to be very light and adds to the curls bounce rather than taking away from it and dragging the curls down. A lot of thought has been put into this product and this shows in the fact that it doesn't gas you out when you spray it on and it leaves a pleasant scent in the hair unlike some other brands that smell very chemical. All together this is a very good product.
This small bag sized hairspray works wonders!
It mists out in a very fine spray, and feels like nothing is in your hair. Doesn't feel hard like other hairsprays. Even though it is fine, it doesnt miss out on any of the hold. Has a really lovely smell to it, which is golddust in the hairspray industry and holds my long heavy hair for a night out, and still has some hold left in the morning.
You don't have to use alot to acheive a good level of hold, and it brushes out easily in the morning, without leaving behind any residue. It is easy to tell where you have been with it, so you know when you've got all your hair covered/
This is a really good item to keep in your handbag for those quick fixes you need in a hair emergancy. At under £2 for a can, its perfect, and with its stainless steel body even looks good there.
To be quite honest I'm quite obsessed with haircare products after having worked in a hairdressers for little over a year and being seduced by the world or haircare! Therefore when I'm looking for a hairspray or serum or whatever I always look for the best.
I've recently had my hair cut and now have some quite short layers which i like to style, back comb and generally experiment with. My friend recommened Toni and Guy fix it hairspray and after being a devout user of their straightening serum not so long back I thought I'd give it a go.
The brilliant thing about this product is that it never fails to do its job. I apply a quick spray after styling my hair and I can trust that my hair will still look the same when I'm ready to retire for the night. Furthermore, the product goes unseen. So many hairsprays only manage to do the trick whilst being extremely obvious yet this one cannot be noticed due to its fine substance and lack of residue.
I thought this was such a good product because my hair is so thick naturally that I always need a strong hairspray to hold it in place, heavy hair often can only be tackled by thicker sprays yet this one works wonders.
i definitely recommend it and it is certainly worth the price.
-I bought Toni and Guy Fix it Hairspray at just short of £5 from boots.
I was looking for a small can of hairspray to keep with me in my bag, in case of an all too inevitable hair emergency. I had previously been using Silvikrin, but it left my hair feeling hard and sort of crunchy (yuk!), so when I spotted a travel-size bottle of Toni and Guy fix-it hairspray I decided to give it a try.
This hairspray comes in a white can with bold red writing and a silver coloured lid. The spray nozzle is easy to push down, and has not as yet become clogged. This aerosol is CFC free.
What I thought
The first thing I noticed about this hairspray was the smell. It actually smells nice! Most, in fact I would say all, of the hairsprays I have used in the past have had a strong chemical smell to them, but this one smells quite floral and delicate.
The spray is very fine, and after spraying it onto my hair I noticed that I did not get the little white droplets that have to be brushed through, which I normally get with other sprays.
I was expecting my hair to become hard, but despite spraying quite liberally the first time I used it, I found that where I could definitely tell which parts of my hair had been sprayed and which had not, it did not feel as hard as it normally does. I have since, not been spraying so much, as I find that you do not have to use too much spray for your hair to stay in place.
I have also found with this spray, that it doesnt leave hair sticky
The spray brushes out, and does not flake, which I was quite impressed with, as there is nothing worse than brushing through your hair after using hairspray, and ending up looking like you have dandruff.
It costs £1.59 for a 50ml bottle from Boots, and I would definitely recommend it.
