Advantages: great while lasted
Disadvantages: did not last long
I use toni and guy shampoo and conditioner so in a set i got for christamas was a pot of Funky gum and i was not as impressed as thought i would be.
Funky gum smells great, but having hair that i wash, dry and straighten with as minimal products as possible as i find that the more products the more frequently i have to wash my hair as its quite thick but its blonde and shows up all grease and dirt within seconds.
I used funky gum on my hair to give my hair a shine and a messy look, my hair looked really good at the start of the evening but as the night progressed my hair started to lose its shape and although my hair smelt great it was not looking at its best.
Funky Gum is suitable for all hair types and on the directions on the back it says rub a small amount into your hands and i would make sure you use a tiny amount you can always add more as a little gum goes a long way. Then it suggests that you clap your hand together to activate the fibres. I used this on wet hair but you can use it on dry too.
This product is worth trying and i was happy with the results while they lasted, but if you have the type of hair that does not like too many products in you hair this is probably one to avoid.
Summary: funky gum not so funky
