      Hair glosser

Toni and Guy glosser for brunettes

I am a bit of a sucker when it comes to trying out new hair products and will buy products especially when they are on offer.

      THE PROMISES...

This promises to add gloss to your hair as well as protecting it, adding shine and smoothing. Given that my hair is a bit of a nightmare to style the smoothing bit is the thing that appealed to me.

      HOW DOES IT DO THIS?...

Apparantly the glosser contains a special heat protection complex which will reduce frizz as you blow dry. It also has UV filters for added protection and Olive Oil for long lasting shine, so based on these claims I should always have salon worthy hair!

      PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...

The product comes in a small50ml plastic bottle with the information but no instructions on the back. The lift up/press back down lid when removed reveals a pump action dispenser and when depressed out comes the product. Unsurprisingly it is a brown/orange colour with what does look like a very subtle shimmer o it. In texture it is like a thin gel and it has a very faint sweet smell, which is not unpleasant and probably makes hair smell nice.

      USING THE PRODUCT...

The product should be worked through wet hair and then styledas usual. I wasn't sure how much to use and so started with a small amount and worked my way up. I have hair just below my shoulders and have found that about three depressions of the pump gives me sufficient of the product to style my hair. It does feel a bit sticky when drying hair and at first I was concerned that this would leave my hair looking and feeling as though it had too many hair products but after blow drying and straightening my hair this feeling of stickiness does go.

      PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...

The RRp is £3.99 but I bought it on offer for half this price so not expensive at all. It is available from leading supermarkets and chemists and is also available for blondes.

      VERDICT...

Whilst I was quite sceptical at first and though this would leave my hair hard and unmanageable it does, once hair is dried make hair a little easier to style. My hair is left looking smooth but I wouldn't say it looks more shiny and it certainly didn't enhance the colour. It does contain ingredients to protect against heat which I like because I always apply products before blow drying my hair.

I would buy this again if it is on offer but wouldn't rush out to buy it.

      Thanks for reading
