Newest Review: ... level of education and experience: a stylist will cost you £40, senior stylist £47, style director £52 and manager/director poa. As there was only the style director left when i went into have my hair cut i had to pay a little more than i was used to but was it worth it?? hell yea! I wanted a totally new style and he spent a good 10 mins talking about my hair and kind of length, texture and ... more

... look i was going for. He helped me pick the right length for my face and i have indeed had alot of compliments on my new hair do - apparently its slimming, or maybe my poor pestered (by me) friends were being nice lol The hair cut took all of 40 mins in...more

Premium Review Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy: Best salon EVERest!! (591 words)

I only started going to a toni and guy hair salon over the last few months. Before i pretty much let my friend - a self proclaimed "hair artist" (to be fair she was very very good) do my hair or go to a local salon. I always thought toni and guy was a little too expensive but now that my friend has moved back to japan and my hair stylist just messed up my hair for the 20th time.. i decided this time i would go to a toni and guy salon whatever the cost - and admittedly i do spend as much on creams - so considering i only cut my hair 3-4 times a year i think its a good investment.. while the prices certainly are a little steep you have the choice of what ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Get your designer cut, cut-price (254 words)

I've frequented the Manchester branch of Toni and Guy's training academies since I was pulled in from the shops for a free haircut for a student's portfolio. Since then, my haircuts have reached the princely price of £12, and compared to a recent emergency splurge of £40 in a normal Toni and Guy hairdresser I can honestly say that there was little point spending the extra cash. The Toni and Guy academies book up very quickly, and only offer 2 time slots (am or pm) so if you want a haircut, plan at least a week in advance. Arrive early too - I have once turned up 5 minutes late, and unfortunately whilst the other models and students had paired off there were 2 ...  Read the complete review

Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy: Toni & Guy's consistent perfection (169 words)
by Rach Wood - written on 02/07/08

I have been going to Toni & Guy for around 2 years now and I find their service amazing, whichever salon I go to. I have been to different salons and had different stylists and I consistently receive a fantastic hair cut. I make a point of asking for the same hair style every time, but not because I like it the same way, because Toni & Guy stylists make it look different every time, so there is no need to ask for other styles. They cut your hair to perfectly match your face, body and personality, making every cut unique, unlike other salons I have been to such as Francesco's who are simply trained to dish out the usual, conventional hair styles. Toni & Guy ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Time waits for no one! (131 words)

me and my sister had booked an appointment for a cut at the new oxford street branch for 2.30. we arrived at 2.35 which was due to major delays on the train. We were told at reception that 'no more models were required'. I then told them that we had appointments already but the lady continued to say models were not required. we were then told that as we were just 5 minutes late, there had been people waiting prior to 2.30 ready to steal a genuine booking. well they got ours! moral of the story: be early... not on time... EARLY. we were extremely disappointed and angered as we felt this was most unfair. we had booked in advance and yet our appointmens went to those who ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy: FREE kicks to your flicks at Toni & Guy Academy! (1761 words)

As a lowly student, I am, of course, typically perenially short of cash. So what do you do when there's not enough dosh in your purse, but too much hair on your head? Well, I've constantly come across those adverts screaming "hairdressing models required" in the free "GAT" magazines... but I was waaay too scared... being really quite tetchy about my unruly hair, the mere prospect of letting a student near my head with a pair of scissors was unthinkable! But when the hair starts looking more like a bush-caught-in-a-whirlwind than actual hair, I decided it'd be worth giving it a try, especially after reading the favourable reviews on 'ciao' ...  Read the complete review
