I have tried numerous heat defence sprays in my time, the one I use mainly is one by Loreal. The purpose of a heat defence spray is to protect the hair from straightening irons. I usually straighten my hair about three times a week so I like to keep it in check. If I don't use a spray I quickly notice how dry the hair can become, particularly as it is coloured. This Toni and Guy spray is fairly easy to use. After you have had your bath or shower and towel dried the hair, you simply pump it onto the hair, from about 10cm or so away. The trick I found is not to over saturate the hair otherwise styling will become difficult and the hair will be left looking lank ... Read the complete review

My hair gets a daily bashing from hair straighteners and as a result I am really conscious that this is leaving my hair dry and damaged so regularly buy products which provide some form of defence. The latest leave in conditioning/ heat defence spray was from Toni & Guy. Step up the Toni & Guy Iron It Heat Defence Spray. ***Packaging*** The product comes in either a 50ml bottle or a 150ml bottle. This is a brushed steel cylinder can with a white plastic pump lid and a clear plastic lid on top of this to protect the spray. Like the other products from the Toni & Guy range the design of the packaging is simple but trendy and the ... Read the complete review

I have long hair which is really prone to puffiness and frizz after washing - so much so that until recently, i couldn't wash my hair immediately before going out, i had to wash it the night before and sleep on it before it was anything other than hideous. Then, i had an epiphany at the hairdressers - that was what the rest of the world had been using straighteners for, for the last heaven knows how long. I'd written the straighteners off as being for devotees of the extremely ironed look (not my thing, as i have very fine hair to start with)...but my hairdresser showed me how to make silky waves with them, or just use them to tame the frizz. What a revelation! ... Read the complete review

A couple of weeks ago I got some Boots vouchers through the post, along with the double points, 100 extra points etc.. was a £2.50 off professional hair care coupon. I don't use professional products as I find shops own brand genrally do the job just as good and for half the price. But while searching online for a new bottle of heat defence spray I saw the professinal ones. Thinking of my £2.50 off coupon I thought it wouldn't hurt to look. Two stood out for me and I checked here for some reviews on them. I decided to go with this one, Toni & Guy Iron It Heat Defence Spray. I went into my local Boots and saw this 200ml silver tin can and took a ... Read the complete review

As a straightener addict from the age of 17 I've searched high and low for the perfect heat protection spray and I believe I have found it. I am really fussy about hair and body products and have quite sensitive skin and don't like overpowering smells so I was delighted when I found Toni & Guy Heat Defence Spray. Boots describes it properties as "This light spray protects against heat damage, conditions & smoothes, boosting natural shine." Protects against heat damage.... This heat spray give better coverage than some of the other balms and sprays I have used. It sprays as a light mist, I then comb my hair to assure that the spray is ... Read the complete review
