I have tried numerous heat defence sprays in my time, the one I use mainly is one by Loreal. The purpose of a heat defence spray is to protect the hair from straightening irons. I usually straighten my hair about three times a week so I like to keep it in check. If I don't use a spray I quickly notice how dry the hair can become, particularly as it is coloured. I have long hair which is really prone to puffiness and frizz after washing - so much so that until recently, i couldn't wash my hair immediately before going out, i had to wash it the night before and sleep on it before it was anything other than hideous.
