I bought this Shampoo about a month ago after I spotted this for sale in my local poundland. It is only the 75ml bottle that they were selling but I thought that was still a good price for a brand named product and often the Travel sized products can still be a bit expensive. There was a couple of different Shampoo's and Conditioners and some Conditioners but I picked this one up as I thought it was best suited for my Hair.
The bottle is quite a simple looking bottle. Isn't all that tall or wide but I wouldn't expect it to be anyway. The colouring of the bottle is white with red writing and it looks alright. This isn't a flip top lid just unscrew the lid and put it back on again when you have finished.
The scent of this is alright. It is a hard scent to try and describe. It is a clean scent but it doesn't smell like Fruit or Floral. It is just a fresh, airy scent. This is a Gel shampoo and is a medium thickness so a little blob of this will lather up well. This rinses off easily enough and I feel that this cleans deep down.
So how do I feel that this works on my Hair? At first I thought this was alright. I felt that this cleansed deep down and the Moisture in my Hair seemed to be good too, but after a few goes of this I felt that my Hair just seemed a bit dried out. It seemed worse when it was wet and I felt that even though it was wet it felt kind of straw like. After my hair had been dried it was better but after a handful of goes of this I gave up and threw this away. There was still a few goes of this in the bottle so you get a good few applications of this.
This Shampoo is suitable for all Hair types but more so if you are looking to get some more Moisture in your Hair which I thought would be good as my hair is Highlighted and I straighten it a few times a week so it could probably benefit from some extra Moisture.
Alright try for £1 but just not for my Hair.
I'm normally a budget shampoo kind of girl, but recently my hair's been looking a bit tired and frazzled (it's fine but breaks easily and gets weak and split). This coincided with Boots having an offer on all Toni & Guy products at 3 for £10. This was a really good deal as this shampoo normally retails at £5.99 for a 200ml bottle and many products are even more, so I couldn't resist and snapped up the shampoo, conditioner and styling spray (reviews of these to follow)...
This is a moisturising shampoo and claims to 'give dry, brittle hair improved strength and vitality'. It comes in a matt silver-coloured bottle with bright pink logo and writing, and a pump dispenser covered by a translucent cap. At 200ml the bottle is a comparable size to other shampoos and looks very appealing on the shelf: it looks classy and 'high-end' and made me feel that the results would be worth the cost. The cap on the top was a bit tricky to get off the first time; however I threw it away rather than replacing it as the shampoo will just sit on my shower shelf now!
The pump action works very well and means you don't use too much of the product, however it did take about 6 pumps to get a 10p-size blob into my hand, so there's no danger of getting carried away. It has the usual Toni & Guy smell which is hard to describe but smells clean and professional rather than flowery - I find it a pleasant fragrance. The shampoo lathers really easily into wet hair and makes loads of froth, which I like. It's easy to distribute and is neither too thick nor too runny. I then rinsed it out under the shower, which was quick and easy and did not leave any residue. At this point I could already feel that my hair, while still wet, was softer and less 'squeaky' than it usually is after shampooing.
I used the matching conditioner and was very pleased with the results. Normally I get bored of a shampoo after a few uses and move onto something else; however I've stuck with this as the longer I use it the better my hair feels. It is soft and silky but not greasy, which for me is the holy grail of shampoo! It has much more life and shine and I feel like I'm doing my hair good. So I'll be sticking with this and recommend it wholeheartedly.
