Toni & GuyNewest Review: ... were wanting the Marlborough Man back! Not the stinky chaps wearing, Village people type but a more groomed classy Marc Jacobs one! I agreed to go, under one condition I had the best! I knew this guy could be broken and no way could he give my hair anything like razor bill round the corner had! "Let him have it" famous last words from the wifey. I was politely and constructively ... more |

TONI&GUY Stafford I have had my faith in customer service given back to me after a visit to TONI&GUY Stafford. I had an appointment on Thursday for a colour and cut. The welcome into the salon was very warm and friendly and within seconds the polite girl had taken my coat, sat me down and got me a coffee. I was impressed and the woman sitting next to me laughed and asked if it was my first time? I said yes for me but mot my wife, She replied it's great here! Not having a clue what I wanted but knowing what I didnt want, the staff looked after me spent time listening to me and making sure I was informed about my service all along the ... Having read lots of bad reviews of Toni & Guy I thought I should add how I felt there when visiting today. I was so nervous as so many people have written awful things about lack of customer service and how appauling they get treated so I was not looking forward to going! However this occasion I felt glad that I did go. Originally I was going to go for an all over bleach as Im bored of my dark hair but since my hair is very dark I know bleaching it will not only take hours to get it to the right colour but also leave it very dry like straw. I decided to just go for highlights (its faster and less chance of being messed up!) The girl was ... Read the complete review

This place is too expensive for what they give you. They are always running behind schedule. It took them four hours just to dye my hair one color. I also went in for a hair cut and I had to see 3 different people to get my hair finished. It was awful. I have been there 3 times and I'm not going back. If you have all the money and time than this place is for you. They really need to lower what they charge. They pretty much charge you for waiting!

I've been to both the academy and the salon, my most recent experience at the academy. I went for a full weave root touch up and it ended up not even looking like it was done! I then had to have my roots "colored" because she didn't put in heavy enough weave. Now for the cut, I asked for light layers and she took 6 inches off my hair! She only laid off the layer cutting when I asked if my hair would still fit in a ponytail. End result: I look like Stevie Wonder cut my hair. HORRIBLE. I've had more bad experiences at the academy then good and will NEVER go back. My salon experience has been much more positive. The coloring is ... Read the complete review

By the sounds of these review and my own experiences, it seems safe to say that you can't trust the 'label' of a salon as each stylist is different. They can train everyone the same but in the end everyone has different skills and ideas of how hair will turn out. I have had some very different experiences and am not sure I would go to Toni and Guy again but some may suit it... First was when I needed my hair styled for an even at the Hilton in London. I booked for my makeup to be done by MAC (amazing results- check out my review!) and thought why not go for a safe salon that had a well-known name- Toni and Guy. I was about fifteen minutes late for my ... Read the complete review
