Advantages: good customer service, good products range.

Disadvantages: Canary Wharf branch is the worst!!!

I read all the reviews in here about Tony & Guy salon and I agreed with everyone who had a really bad experienced with the Canary Wharf branch because I, myself had really bad experienced with them as well. Here is my story :
I am a person who love my hair too much to let anyone touches my hair if I dont know their reputations, and I think everyone will agree with me that if u have a bad hair cut it will stay with you for at least 4 to 6 weeks and definitely everyday thinking about getting out of the house is such a pain.
That's why I chose Tony & Guy.I normally went to the Regend street branch and I always loved it there, never had any bad experienced with them ever. But since the Canary Wharf branch has opened, because it is just walking distance from my flat and I think all the franchise chains should have the same standard of staffs and everything else. But I was really wrong about it.
My 1st experienced with Canary Wharf (yes I was stupid enough to think they will be diference 2nd time) It was just the standard hair cut, the services and everything else was OK but the hairdresser didnt cut the hair how I wanted it even though I went for the top Director Art whom the staffs recommended.I looked like a chicken I nearly cried when I saw the result and I said to them can they do anything about it? the hairdresser just said 'if you are not happy with it,then i just shorten it all to lose all the layer' I was speechless when I heard that and he added 'it will be more funky that way'.I am a director of a company wearing suit to go to work and having a hair short up to my ear and the hairdresser suggested it is more funky???????????????????? I just wanted to pay and rushed out to buy a cap and ran home to try to fix it myself ,I kept thinking may be he just put too much wax or hair products on it may be after another wash at home it will be better but I had to live with my chicken hair for at least 2 months.
After that I never went back for a hair cut there again, and have to travel down to Regent street for a hair cut now and then.I love it there.
The 2nd experienced, I needed to go to an anniversary ball of my finace's boss and I needed to put my hair up to go with my dress because it was on Friday so after work I didnt have time to go down Regent street for a hair-do so I risked it and booked it at Canary Wharf ,even though I was really scared but calm myself down as thinking this is not a hair cut, just put the hair up not that hard and MAY BE they are OK at putting hair up.But it was a big mistake,I again went for the staffs recommended stylist.I said to her 'I just want to put my hair up and I always hate my round face so please make it less round as possible' She nodded like really understanding and I did mention this is a really important party. After 15 mins,it was incredible fast to put hair up and it looked Ok and every staffs said I looked really good in it.Still not really what I wanted because it still showed my round face alots but I expected the worst when I entered the salon anyway so I was kind of happy and paid £60 for 15 mins hair up.I walked home and kind of happy with my hair. When I walked through the door I wanted to look at it again because deep down inside me I still not really believed that the hair was good after that incident in the past and again I was right, just 5 mins walking home my hair was falling apart and that was summer not windy just short walking and it was falling apart already, not even mention about dancing all night.I was so so angry but with myself mostly, should not be lazy ,should leave work early and go down Central get the hair done there.I had to took it all down and washed my hair again, got no choice so had to wear my hair down and was late for the party,my fiance pissed off with me because I was late and I was not in the good mood as well so kind of snapped at him and we ended up a really terrible night!!!
So I just wanted to share this with everyone who are thinking of booking appoinment with the Canary Wharf branch.DONT GO THERE EVER!!!!!
I think I was stupid enough to go there twice and think they will be difference and will be good at other skills rather than cutting hair but the end of the day It is a hair salon, has a good reputaions for god's sake it has to be good at cutting hair and nothing else.If it is not good at cutting hair it is good at nothing!!

Summary: Dont go to Canary Wharf branch ever.Only recommend Regent Street Branch!!!

Welcome to DooYoo. Far too expensive for me to visit but I have heard of a Toni & Guy academy where people train which apparantly is really cheap. Sam
