Advantages: Cheap.

Disadvantages: Everything else. Takes forever. And unreliable quality.

DO NOT GET A HAIRCUT FROM THESE PEOPLE! I can't urge you enough to stay away from the Toni and Guy academy for hair cuts. Unless you really don't care what your hair looks like. They totally messed up my hair and I would pay over 100 pounds to have it back to normal. Seriously. I didn't have the money to pay for a real hair cut at the time so thought I'd be thrifty, but now I have to live with this shit hair cut which will take well over a year to grow out.

The girl who cut my hair didn't seem to have any idea what the instructor was talking about, or to have every actually cut someone's hair before. The class was overbooked and so the instructor rarely came by to watch or make corrections. The girl kepts messing up and tried to fix it by cutting shorter and shorter layers. I distinctly told her that I prefered to grow out my layers, but I left with parts of my hair not even reaching my ears! All I wanted was a trim on the bottom and my one layer to be cleaned up so it could grow out more. Instead I walked away with about 50 varieties of uneven layers, and tears in my eyes.

Not only was the cut horrendous, looking like a blind person went at it with a knife, but the whole experience took 3.5 hours out of my life. They should be paying ME for my time, but I paid them 5 pounds.

I'm sure you can get a decent hair cut here if you are lucky and given to the right student, but there's no way of telling who you'll get, and you are taking a big chance on getting someone totally clueless. If you care at all about how your hair looks, do not go here. Save up the extra 20-30 pounds and get someone with actual tallent to make you look great.

Summary: I would pay 100 pounds to have not gone here.
