Advantages: relaxing surroundings, choice of drinks from a menu, comfortable chairs

Disadvantages: Price

I work all week at a pharmacy, and so find it difficult to find the time to have my hair done. So I decided that this weekend, I would try Toni&Guy salon in Southport. I found the salon to be very modern, up to date, and the staff were very friendly, but I would definately say that Toni&Guy is overrated, and I now believe that, when going to salons like this, not your regular high street salon, you are definately paying extra because of the name.

I paid £65 for a cut, blow and hair up. This would of cost me around £20 at another salon I normally go to in Cheshire, and the result would of been the same, if not better.

Overall, very pleasant salon, with comfortable chairs, and very pleasant experience having my hair washed, as my neck didn't hurt, as it has in the past at other salons, but end result not worth the price.

Summary: I would probably go to Toni&Guy again, but only once every couple of months!!!

i'd just like to say that at toni&guy you should expect to pay a higher price than at a normal high street salon. This is because you recieve a much higher standard of service. people also forget that toni&guy staff are specialists in their chosen field. all other salons are just nvq standard. this is reflected in the price. if you are paying £20 for a cut, finish and pin-up then you'd feel like you were getting a bargain even if the end result was not up to scratch!

Sorry, If I were to be tempted either for or against this salon, I would want to know the experience of the people cutting your hair and the satisfaction you felt afterwards. Hairdressers actually frighten me after a bad experience.
