Advantages: cheap labour

Disadvantages: useless

They are just kids how are the expected to have a decent attitude within a working environment.. theres 1 inparticular in the exeter branch she knows who she is. I had my hair cut and she just looked down her nose at me... personallly i think she should be sacked...she certainly doesnt deserve to be given training which probably costs a lot of money. anyway with that attitude she will probably end up working as a waitress or something in the end ( no offence to waitresses) but people like that waste opportunities. Toni and Guy should not empoloy 17 year olds. she is not a good advert for them when you see her out drunk at the weekends aged just 17.

This review appears to be an attack on an individual rather than a constructive criticism or compliment on the service provided. It is usual for trainee hairstylists to be either 17 or 18 and this should not be seen as detrimental, rather they should be congratulated for having the motivation to acquire a skill which will enable them to earn a living either in a salon or by working for themselves. It would be helpful if the reviewer had been able to offer a proper evaluation of the service she received at the Exeter branch and whether she had been satisfied with the service and result rather than merely make derogatory comments on the young trainee. The review is not at all helpful and comes across as being rather petty.

Hiya,

Like Thingywhatsit has mentioned below, you really do need to describe the service provided. I think if you have a complaint with a specific member of staff you should really take that up with the branch manager as a review on here isn't going to be noticed and the general public have no idea who you are talking about.

I don't think age really makes a difference in this case - a 17 year old can do as good/bad a job as a mature person with the same experience.

So, to help improve your review... you could describe what the company is/does. What you required from them. The result. The cost involved... you have already mentioned the customer service so perhaps you could expand on that a little more. Would you recommend going to Toni and Guy (baring in mind you may not get the same person?).

D :)

everybody has a chance to do what they want, even if they do get drunk!!! im sure youve been drunk before. does that mean you shouldn't be entitled to training and education???? everyone has to start somewhere and 17 is a good age to start at because you have the rest of your life to use the skills you have learnt.
