TONI & GUY, MILTON KEYNES ARE #1 (Toni & Guy)
Member Name: panther1980
Advantages: FRIENDLINESS FROM ALL STAFF, QUALITY ADVICE WITHOUT ANY PRESSURE, RELAXED ENVIRONMENT Disadvantages: A BIT PRICEY. LOW STOCK OF PRODUCTS When I moved from Watford to Leighton Buzzard, I thought how hard it would be to yet again find another hairdresser that I could trust. After having a terrible experience with Super Cuts in the Harlequin shopping centre, which left my hair in terrible condition, I have been very nervous of approaching a new stylist. Milton Keynes shopping centre is only 20 minutes away so I decided to hunt around and see what salons there were. My friend had previously recommended Toni & Guy but I always thought them to be too expensive. However, I'd just got my christmas bonus so I decided to treat myself! So I rang Toni & Guy and asked for some advice. They were very helpful and explained the differences between each stylist and what the costs were. I decided to go for a top stylist to boost my confidence and made my appointment.I was quite excited as I had never had my done by a professional before and was praying that it didn't turn out a disaster. When I arrived I was met by a friendly face who booked me in, gave me a gown and asked if I would like a drink. I thought what a good start but was it too good to be true? I didn't wait long for my stylist who came over and introduced himself to me. He asked what I would like to be done, how I styled my hair at home and what products I used. I thought this was very helpful as he advised me to use lighter products on hair to make it less heavy as my hair is medium length and quite thick. I then had my hair washed by one of the girls. She made sure the water was the right temp before she continued and began to give my head a massage which was very relaxing and soothing. When I went back to my stylist he offered me another drink and discussed my hair further. He gave me a few tips as to how to get more volume when straightening, which I thought was very useful and suggested a few products but didn't pressure me to buy them. As he began to cut my hair we began chatting and I openly commented on how young he looked only to be told he was 20 - 3 years younger than me! I thought "oh no! what have I let myself in for!" but he seemed to be concentrating on my style and took his time with the cut and blow dry. Once he had finished, my stylist checked that the length was what I expected and that I was pleased with the cut. He also suggested that if I needed the fringe to be tidied up to pop in at any time and he would sort it out for me. Now that's what I call service! I was completely satisfied with the cut which had been done the way I initially asked for and welcomed the friendly advice that was given. I have been going to T & G for the past 3 years now and have found the hospitality to continue without any disappointments from my stylist. The only criticism I would give is that they don't seem to hold enough stock of individual products. All in all, I would recommend Toni & Guy in Milton Keynes without a doubt and will continue to go there. Summary: LISTENING TO WHAT YOU WANT DONE AND NOT JUST DOING WHAT THEY THINK IS BEST |
