Advantages: Nice salon, friendly staff

Disadvantages: Bad haricut and colour...far too expensive

After a rather bad haircut I went to Toni & Guy in Newbury.
I had gone in for a colour but was told I would need a haircut to tidy up my hair ('or the colour would emphasize areas I didn't want to emphasize')or so I was told.

So I made an appointment in my lunch hour and another after work (as I could'nt get it cut and dyed at the same time!)
Before my cut I enquired about the price as I said I only wanted a couple or centimetres off the long strands on the sides and could probably have done it myself.

I was told the cut would be full price but the colour would be cheaper as they didn't think I'd need as much colour as was stated on my reciept.

So she went ahead and cut far too much off and charged me £45.00!

In the afternoon I came in wanting some caramel and blonde straeks in my dark hair.
I was talked into having red streaks.
She ended up putting red foils on the frount and went on to dye the rest of my hair darker (which I had not asked for)

When it was finished I could hardley notice the red. I had told them I wanted bright and funky!
So I ended up paying £67.00 for my hair to look the same as it did when I had come in!

I bought some dye the next day and did it myself, It turned out wonderful and exactly as I had wanted it.
The dye cost £5.00.

T & G are as major rip-off and I will never go there again!

Summary: My own dye job was better!
