Advantages: Easy to get an appointment?
Disadvantages: Ignorant, unpleasant and surly staff
NEVER GO TO TONI & GUY - STAFFORD
I booked in for the first time over the phone on a Monday for a cut & colour for the following Saturday (for a friend's wedding). I was told I needed a skin test, and so went in in the same day. During this I was asked if i had booked in, I assumed yes - WRONG. So in person I booked in again for Saturday, same time 0900hrs and an appointment card was given to me. I also stressed that I had to leave by 1100hrs and was told this would not be a problem
Duly arrived just before 0900hrs on Saturday to find out there was no trace of my booking...I was told I could be 'squeezed' in.
Long and short I was treated by most of the staff as a complete imbuggerance to them, faces were pulled and a great deal of tutting and sighing ensued. No care was taken to the cutting or colouring of my hair. Finally leaving at 1145hrs and £91 later I was livid, and no-one really seemed too perturbed that I was not happy.
Not having the time to complain I followed my visit up with a letter to the store's manager, 10 days later I have yet to receive a response. Not surprising if his staff's attitude is anything to go by.
Summary: NEVER GOING AGAIN

What utter tripe!!!
My three sisters and I have been customers there for ten years now and can honestly say that we have never experienced the attitude and indifference to your appointment that you claim you received. I have seen some staff come and go but in my opinion the ones that leave are usually the lazy ones that are better off flipping burgers!
My stylist has worked for his boss for nine years and couldnt speak any more highly of him. I find your pissy review no reflection on Toni&Guy Stafford and no doubt they are better off without you as a customer!
Id bet you are just an ex member of staff with a pathetic grudge!

The reason that the staff are surly and moody is because the so-called manager makes their lives a complete and utter misery. His bully-boy tactics and hissy-fits mean they walk on eggshells every day. I am honestly completely astonished at how he spoke to his staff when I was there.
If his staff had a decent boss they would be more likely to give great customer service. I'm not surprised he didn't reply to your letter - you'd have to go a long way to find a more un-compassionate and un-caring individual. |
