i had my hair cut on wednesday 31st on september 2007 AT THE NEW SALON IN SOUTHPORT booked for 11.40, i was only actually seen at 12.10, i sat looking at the walls as the girls pottered round, think some had cups of tea (i was not offered a drink until the end of my hair cut), were dancing to the music. The salon was beautiful, just been refurbished.

as i student i dont often treat my self but i thought what the hell! i finished with my bf! :( i just got my stundent loan and thought to change my hair to give me a fresher look, i booked one of the most expencive people to cut my hair, apparently she was the style director, i thought great id have some one who can handle tricky hair like my own being curly.

i waited... and waited and what i believe to be a junior came over who was lovely, he combed my hair and had a little chat, by this time the lady who was meant to be cutting my hair at 11.40 was still with the previous customer at 12.10, it was approx 10 mins later she came over and said hello, i was starting to feel more welcome.

she asked me what i had in mind, i said i wanted to restyle my hair hence me booking the style director WHICH COST ME £61 AS I ALSO HAD A MOISTURE TREATMENT! (which made my hair more strawy)!! she seem ok... the next bit was the best bit. she yes she THE STYLE DIRECTOR washed YES WASHED MY VERY OWN HAIR WITH HER VERY OWN HANDS! SHE ALSO ASKED IF I WANTED THE MASSARGE (BUILT INTO THE CHAIR WHILST WASHING YOUR HAIR) THIS WAS FAB! i started to relax.

she again asked me what i wanted, i said i would like choppy layers with a side sweeping fringe (not the hardest on hairstyles to cut especially as she was a STYLE DIRECTOR)!! i sat there feeling confident she was doing best. AND WHEN I GOT CHATTING TO HER SHE ACTUALLY HAD NOT NVQ ETC, JUST THE ''TONI & GUY' WAY OF CUTTING EXPERIENCE!!!! HELLO YOUR THE STYLE DIRECTOR!!!!!! THATS LIKE EMLOYING A PIOLETT WITH NO QUALIFICATIONS!

when she had finished i had a quick glare and paid and left....

THEN THE FUN BEGINS!!!!!!! READ ON !!!!!!!.......

looking at the mirror at home i was dissapointed, the frindge was non existant in stead it was tiny pieces of hair she had pulled forwards, there was a massive chunk of hair taken from the back of my head, and the layers were not gradual as i had asked for. what made it worse was that the layers at the front of my face were cut straight across instead of at an angle!! didnot make sence, i got over it though and learnt my lesson.

i didnot wash my hair that night as i went out, came in early though as my SCALP STARTED TO BLEED, I HAD ALL SCABBY PIECES IN IT, AT THE BACK, my hair was then COMING OUT IN PIECES, I NOW ALSO HAVE RASHES ALL OVER MY NECK. what appear to be blistering and very very sore, so sore i have taken painkillers.

please note i did not have any high lights done so could not have been a reaction to this.

im NOT saying all their salons are like this, just be careful guys. i seriously dont think they are washing their brushes enough as i have never had scalp problems before

CAN I ALSO NOTE THAT THS HAIR DRESSER SIMPLY WENT OVER THE WAY MY PREVIOUS HAIR DRESSER HAD CUT MY HAIR, in every possibly way, if not did it worse as more that twice the price. I PAID £61 FOR A TRIM basically!!!!!!

i would like to credit all those hair dressers who do take pride in their work, offer good customer service at a reasonble price. I UNDERSTAND HOW HARD YOUR WORK IS!!! and all those that dont care well i think your in the wrong job and quite frankly i would not have you picking the sh*t from my horses stables.
