Disadvantages: ARROGANT AND RUDE. OVERPRICED.

Went there on 26th Jan 09. What an awful experience....
I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant. Back in June I decided, on the advice of a new hairdresser (not Toni & Guy), to have a semi permanent colour. Well, the light brown colour I selected came out almost black! I wasn't aware my hair would become so porous in pregnancy, and was devastated. That was 7 months ago, and I have only just plucked up the courage to give it another go at a different hairdresser. When I saw a Grazia magazine 20% off promotion for Toni & Guy I decided to treat myself.
I called the Bluewater salon and was booked in for the same day. I was seen by Natalie. She was really moody from the off. She saw me to a chair and picked through my hair while I explained I liked the "Cheryl Cole" style with sexy, bouncy hair. She took me to a wash station and shampooed me herself. The "relaxing" head massage made me wince it was so painful. We moved back to the cutting chair where she snipped for roughly 5 minutes. I don't claim to be a hairdresser, but I could tell it was a shoddy job. She bluntly trimmed the ends and snipped ½" off a few layers. I have long thick hair which I had told her hasn't been cut in 7 months, yet it took her 5 minutes to "reshape" my whole style?! What upset me most was the fact she didn't speak to me for the whole appointment. She was really stern and literally the only words she said were "I'll do your fringe when it's all dried"; yet when one of her colleagues came over she turned round to chat away excitedly, still holding my hair in her hands. How bloody rude!!! I'd completely had enough and was feeling quite emotional, so decided not to complain and just get out as soon as possible. I let her blow dry me, paid my £45.60 and left. It was the first time I had spent money on myself in months. I was gutted.
I wrote a letter to the owner who got his receptionist to call me and offer to see me again for a "hair assesment" to see what I wasn't happy with, why on earth would they assume I would want to go there again, somewhere I felt so uncomfortable, out of my own time and pocket, to have him look at my hair?! There wasn't even the offer of another haircut or blowdry. My suggestion of gift vouchers that I could spend at another salon was declined. I then sent my letter to head office, who told me the decision is up to the salon owner and they wouldn't even offer me a discount on return.
Bottom line is don't get there ladies, and don't bother with complaining, they really couldn't care less.

Summary: POOR SERVICE. POOR COMPLAINTS PROCEEDURE.
