The price of a Free Haircut (Toni & Guy)

I went to the academy a few years ago after a girl stopped me in Top Shop. She just got lucky as I was planning to book in for a hair cut anyway and when she said it was free, I said yes. So the waiting was ridiculous. I sat in a consolation room on my own for 20 mins while she fetched her teacher and then came back and explained that she was giving me a graduating bob. Which theoretically fit in with what I told her in the shop that I normally get: long at the front shorter at the back, but I wear my hair long to my shoulders and I didn't know what this hair style was. So she shampooed and began to cut away. I know someone said they use blunt scissors in another review and that's bad for your hair, but this girl had sharp ones. She cut my skin just under my ear and it was bleeding a bit and was so apologetic and scared that I didn't say anything, her teacher seemed a bit of a cow. But the worst part was the haircut 3 hours later. I came out with something that looked like I was wearing a swimming cap. The teacher said it was perfect and asked me to come back to show it off. (I lied and said yes, just to get out of three). I was really surprised how much this haircut effected the way I felt. I've had short before but this was so strict and solid. I looked like a kid in a convent school. I felt really stupid because whenever I have been to T&G they've sorted me out and I thought it would be the same but these are just courses that they offer to anyone. They're not the people who eventually go on to become hairdressers at their salons.
I would say, if you want a cheap hair cut, go to a community college's training salon. At T&G academy they are only teaching them about 3 different styles so you have to have one of those. They may nod when you explain what you want but they'll just cut away to their own agenda.

Summary: Long wait, no choice, danger of infection.
