Disadvantages: Bad color and cut

I've been to both the academy and the salon, my most recent experience at the academy. I went for a full weave root touch up and it ended up not even looking like it was done! I then had to have my roots "colored" because she didn't put in heavy enough weave. Now for the cut, I asked for light layers and she took 6 inches off my hair! She only laid off the layer cutting when I asked if my hair would still fit in a ponytail.

End result: I look like Stevie Wonder cut my hair. HORRIBLE. I've had more bad experiences at the academy then good and will NEVER go back.

My salon experience has been much more positive. The coloring is excellent, the cut is so-so. Nothing special for what they charge for a simple haircut that I couldn't get at a cheaper salon. I wil continue to go to the salon for color and find somewhere else to go for the cut.
