Advantages: listens to what you want, keeps you informed of what they are doing

Disadvantages: didnt get exact colour I wanted but close enough

Having read lots of bad reviews of Toni & Guy I thought I should add how I felt there when visiting today. I was so nervous as so many people have written awful things about lack of customer service and how appauling they get treated so I was not looking forward to going! However this occasion I felt glad that I did go.

Originally I was going to go for an all over bleach as Im bored of my dark hair but since my hair is very dark I know bleaching it will not only take hours to get it to the right colour but also leave it very dry like straw.
I decided to just go for highlights (its faster and less chance of being messed up!)
The girl was friendly and polite...I was expecting lots of atittude as other people have commented on this but there was none. She agreed that my hair was too dark so she gave me the book to go through. She consulted her senior which made me feel better someone else was looking at my hair too. After the foils were put in, my hair turned very orange as I know it does so she put a toner in it to turn them darker and less tiger-like.
Throughout the hairdressing time, she kept offering me any drink and made sure I had magazines to keep me entertained. She always told me where she was going and what she was up to so I didnt feel completely abandoned. My hair was blow dried very sleek and felt very nice to touch!
All in all I was happy and grateful for my experience at toni & guy for my first time not being a horrible one.

I just wanted to let other people know that if they are considering getting their hair done there, but feel put off by the bad reviews..dont be!!! The girl who did my hair was quite young and obviously still training but she did not do whatever she liked, and did actually listen to me.
It was free but I wouldnt have minded if it was a paying service.

Im not the type to go hairdressers at all..usually too shy but If I can go there and have an decent time im sure others could too! I think its just up to the branch and who actually does your hair to be honest.
But looking around the salon today I did see other customers who were having friendly chats with their hairdresser and I actually felt comfortable for the first time getting my hair done. I was expecting there to be rude stuck up team but it wasnt at all. I been to Regis hair salon in the past and a few others but this was my most comfortable experience in terms of customer service. I usually avoid going hair salons because they make you feel very uncomfortable but this toni & guy did not today. It was Canary Wharf.

I just wish all my hair trips were this pleasant!!

Summary: Not a bad experience today at Toni& Guy, give it a try if you want to especially if its a free offer
