I'm a sucker (Toni & Guy)
Member Name: urngegirl
Advantages: Good Cut Disadvantages: Overpriced product, Pushy beautician
I was eating lunch with a friend yesterday and mentioned that I need a haircut. She recommended Toni & Guy. I called and made a 3:00 appointment. At 3:45 I finally got called back to get my hair washed by the wash girl. On the way back there, I got to meet my hairdresser, who didn't speak very good english. I got to put on a robe to protect my clothes. At this point, I'm feeling great. Then I got my hair washed... with cold water. Then I had to wait another ten minutes. Once I finally got in the chair, I was told my hair is frizzy... thanks a lot. I'm a natural redhead and she assumed it was colored. After my hair was cut, she put some anti-frizz stuff in my hair, then some volume stuff, then dried my hair. Next came the shiny stuff. Once my hair was done, she walked me to the counter, but of course passed in front of the hair products where she picked up a huge overpriced bottle of everything she put in my hair and put it on the counter... including shampoo and conditioner, which she said would help keep my color. I mentioned again that my hair was naturally red. She said that the shampoo would keep it from fading. In all my 24 years, I have never had a problem with my hair color fading, and if I did, I doubt this stuff is going to save it. There are no prices anywhere. Then came the bill: $120.00. I should have put back all the stuff, but she was standing there, sort of making sure the cashier charged me for everything. I know I should have said no, but uou're feeling great after they insulted your hair and then fixed it all great (which I knew I wouldn't be able to fix it that way). Summary: |
