Toni and Guy can be quite hit and miss. It is a very large chain of hair salons which pitch themselves to the modern young women who want up to date well cut hair. This can depend on where you go - I have found soho, portsmouth and clapham toni and guys excellent - they gave me exactly what i wanted, cut in well fringes from long hair and gave me ...

Worst hair cut ever! The words "knife", "fork" and "4 year old nephew" come to mind! I have very straight hair which may take some precision to cut...surely that is why Toni & Guy hairdressers are trained for so long though?! Maybe they should specify customers with curly hair only are welcome?! The minute this ...

Paid a lot of money for a senior stylist in Brighton. Specified that I needed a managable haircut that wouldn't need styling in the morning. Well... since the Haircut it's been worse. Needs more care than it did before I went there and the cut itself is not good at all. It has no real shape or movement and any shape it did have was temporary as a ...

Apologies from me but I did not want to let my best secret out!!
It was way back last year this story started...
I had my hair cut here a complete restyle but it was terrible...so I complained...something i do not normally do...
I was after a few days contacted and an appointment was arranged to go back and have it redone (It was done so badly before) I accepted tentatively mind you...
I have never looked back...they treated me like royalty....Thank you Christophe - you are now my hero!!!
I swear I will go nowhere else now, where they normally say cut after 6 weeks with me it is more like 12 but it is superbly done....and is worth the fortune it costs.....
do try them but a good stylist.......
You get what you pay for!!
EXCELLENT>>>>>

Kendal Cumbria. Wanted a special cut and colour so decided to pay a bit more but was very disappointed. The colour was nothing special, I explained I wanted a natural look but still came away with tiger stripes. The girl who cut and blow dried my hair was obviously in a rush for her next client hacked away putting layers in which I had been trying for ages to grow out. Now when I wash my hair it sticks out at all angles. Very disappointed and will not return again. PS The salon itself could do with a good makeover, it felt dirty and the paint was peeling off.

I went to the academy a few years ago after a girl stopped me in Top Shop. She just got lucky as I was planning to book in for a hair cut anyway and when she said it was free, I said yes. So the waiting was ridiculous. I sat in a consolation room on my own for 20 mins while she fetched her teacher and then came back and explained that she was ...

I'd never been to a Toni & Guy before as personally I think spending upwards of £50 just for a trim is a bit of a rip off, and I've always been happy with the cuts and colouring I've had at more reasonably priced salons. However last time I walked past the Oxford branch they were advertising for models for cutting and colouring, so as it's ...

Terrible. i visited the toni and guy salon in horsham west sussex to have a full head of highlights. i talked the colour through with one of the "senior stylists" and showed her pictures of what i wanted blah blah blah. I explained that i wanted a natural looking soft blonde colour. When i had it dried by a TRAINEE :O, i saw she had put ...

Went there on 26th Jan 09. What an awful experience.... I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant. Back in June I decided, on the advice of a new hairdresser (not Toni & Guy), to have a semi permanent colour. Well, the light brown colour I selected came out almost black! I wasn't aware my hair would become so porous in pregnancy, and was ...

I have been to the Canary Wharf branch a lot. This is my experience. The first few hair cuts were great. A Viet girl called My cut my hair with real flair and style. She really took her time and it looked great. Unfortunately she moved to another branch (Richmond I think) too far for me to travel to. Since then I have seen every ...

I have used Toni & Guy salons on and off now for over 20 years. I have lived all over the U.K. and the U.S.A. and when in doubt and I have needed follicular help in a strange city I have always relied on Toni & Guy. I began having my hair permed when I was 16 back in the 80's when you wanted a Carol Decker or Kate Bush look. This style I ...

I have just read the snotty cows review with shock and disbelief. I have using Toni & Guy Putney for a year now and have always been impressed the the fantastic, consistant service that I've received from every staff member on every visit. My friends also frequent this salon and have had nothing but positive experiences. I completely disagree with this review and urge potential clients to disregard it.

Just got back from having my hair chopped off at Toni and Guys salon. I usually only go to Toni and Guys when they have Stand in appointments available as that way you get a bargain but they don't seem to do them often. If my hair is longer as it was prior to today I would go to heart of england for a trim as its only £5.50 they ...

I have been going to the Canary Wharf branch of Toni & Guy for the last few years and have been to Sophie, Timoko and Massimo - all of whom have given me excellent haircuts (and I am quite picky... ). I have never had an issue with customer service or with the quality, my only comment might be that it is pretty expensive, more so than the other branches of Toni & Guy.

Toni and guy is awful! I hear nothing but bad things! And i was so upset with my cut from the salon in crawley west sussex!
The girl was so unfriendly, even when i asked her so nicely to cut more of one side because it was so much longer then the other she just looked at me and never spoke a word!
AWFULL hairdressers seem to work at toni&guy! Dont go!

Never go to toni and guy in stockton heath the salon was dirty inside. As i went in i was told to take a seat , i had booked in with the manager because i wanted the best service. After waiting for over half an hour with no explanation i asked how long he would be then finally he came, i was happy with the consultation because i only wanted a trim. I had my hair washed which was nice but the towels they used were all stained and smelly. I had my hair cut the manager who looked very scruffy and he smelled of smoke and alcohol. My hair looked very frizzy after having it blow dried by a trainee after paying £50 i expected a much better service and to at least have my hair dried by a qualified stylist.
