      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Remember to use less than you think and it works a treat!

I bought a very large (and unwieldy) 900ml bottle of each of the Colour Thrive Blonde shampoo and conditioner in my local Asda a couple of months ago as they had them on special offer so it was a bargain £5 for the two bottles.

I was very impressed with both and reviewed the shampoo a while ago, however, as the conditioner has only just run out it reminded me to review this one too. The conditioner way outlasted the shampoo because the secret with this product is that less is more, so where I would usually apply as much conditioner as I would shampoo, I realised early on that this was not necessary with this one and hence the shampoo ran out well before this had.

The bottle at 900ml is the only thing that has consistently driven me nuts about this product, I only have small hands and holding this in one to get some out is not the easiest of things to, a minor problem though and one which could obviously be solved by never buying this size bottle again (or I did consider decanting it into a smaller bottle, maybe next time!).

Anyway, the product itself is very silky feeling and a creamy yellow colour, less bright that the accompanying shampoo but still with a tinge to it. You really dont need as much as you think you do. I found that if I slathered it on (like I normally would with a conditioner) it left my hair a bit sticky and heavy. I therefore tried with half the amount and it had a much better result!

With half the amount it, obviously, washes out much easier and leaves the hair light and gleaming. I found that even with the smaller amount my hair seemed to be getting all the benefits it should from a conditioner, i.e. it was stronger feeling, less tangled and smooth. I do think it has helped retain the colour of my highlights for longer than I would normally expect.

This conditioner has a lovely, fresh and fruity smell, very similar to the shampoo, and in combination they leave your hair smelling absolutely delicious.

Personally, once I realised that this product needs to be used sparingly I felt I had much more success with it, it is just difficult to resist the urge to absolutely cake your hair in it, but be disciplined and you will see the results for yourself!

A great product from a great range.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        it might work for you

I would never use this conditioner again. I bought it and I thought that it would be really good because I have used other tresemme shampoo and conditioner. It might be fine for you but I dont like it one little bit.

When I washed my hair with the shampoo and conditioner, It did smell lovely but the next day my hair was greasy. I bought it because I dry my hair blonde and I thought that it would keep my hair from fadeing.

I do dye my hair a lot so I used the blonde shampoo and conditioner to keep my colour from fadeing. When I put on the conditioner my hair did felt very soft.

It is not a bad conditioner but I did not like it when my hair got greasy to quicky.

It has a flip top lid so it is easy to use. You can buy it in most supermarkets and they do it on offer like buy one get one free or 2 for £5. Most of the time I get it when it is buy one get my free.

The conditioner has a fade block in it so that you hair colour will not fade. It also restore strength and brightness which is also very good

When I opened the conditioner it had a lovely fresh smell. My hair felt really soft and nice and when I brush my hair it was really easy to do.

I was a bit dispappointed because it got greasy so quickly. When I use other shampoo my hair goes greasy about 3 days after i washed it.

It is a good conditioner because you will have very soft hair. The conditioner is very easy to rinse out and my hair felt very smooth and it looked a lot healthier.

You can also get the shampoo for blonde and there are other colours to get. You can get it in a 900ml bottle for about £3.99.

I do like Tresemme shampoo and conditioner but this one is not for me I do use other Tresemme ones which are really good.

        Thanks for reading

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Give this product a chance and you might just be impressed!

The time had come where I needed to buy a new shampoo and conditioner. Usually I just pop to Bodycare or Home Bargains and spend about a pound on each. I tend to buy Pantene or Sunsilk. I'd been seeing the packs of Tresemme in a few shops, though, so I finally decided to buy some. The pack contained a 500ml bottle of shampoo and a 500ml bottle of conditioner, and was £3.79. Considering I usually spend £1 on a 250ml bottle of conditioner and another pound on a 250ml bottle of shampoo, it actually worked out cheaper than my usual purchases and I won't have to buy another bottle for twice as long!

The packaging is fairly standard for products formulated for blonde hair - gold, white and yellow. The bottles are fairly large, obviously, and mine came in a box with both bottles in.

To open the bottle, you need to press down on one side of the lid and then the other side pops up, and you squeeze the product out. I've only got small hands, so I found it quite difficult to get hold of the big bottle and squeeze, especially while my hands were wet! I do anticipate having the same problem others have mentioned - not being able to squeeze the product out when I've used about half of it.

I used both last night, but this review is about the conditioner specifically. The shampoo is fairly standard (put a splodge on your hand, lather into hair, rinse), anyway, and I couldn't say how well it works on its own, since I conditioned after using it.

The directions for the conditioner suggest you apply it from the midlengths to the ends of your hair first, and then apply whatever's left on your hands to the roots. Once you've done that, comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb to ensure you've got conditioner right down to the ends. Leave for 1-3 minutes, then rinse.

I followed the instructions (I left it on for about 5 minutes while I washed and shaved though) then rinsed. I'd read on here that it could be difficult to get it all washed out, so I made sure to rinse very thoroughly.

I actually found the conditioner felt quite unpleasant while it was on my hair - it felt incredibly thick, gloopy and heavy. When I started to rinse, my hair felt lovely and soft, but not really any softer than it usually does when I'm rinsing conditioner out.

I combed my hair as soon as I got out of the bath, and I did find it was easier to comb. I have quite dry hair that tangles easily, so this was important for me. Usually I have to fight to get the comb through, but that wasn't the case this time.

The real test, for me, was to see how my hair felt this morning. After sleeping, my hair is always really tangled at the back and it's virtually impossible to get a comb through. I have to tie my hair back for work, and it usually ends up all lumpy because my hair is just too dry and tangly to comb down properly.

This morning, my hair wasn't tangled at all in the back, or anywhere else! It looks and feels much smoother - my ponytail isn't lumpy today. I've just taken my hair out of the ponytail and it's still perfectly soft and smooth. It does seem a little shinier and brighter, too, although not massively.

At first, I was a bit disappointed with this product because I didn't like the way it felt in my hair and as I was rinsing it, it didn't seem any better than my normal products. I think I'll have to wait a while to see if there's any real impact on the colour and brightness of my hair, but the smoothness and softness of it has definitely left me impressed, and I'll continue buying it for that reason alone.

Update: It's now the day after my third wash with this product. My hair is still wonderfully soft - I can't stop touching it! It's definitely shinier and brighter too. I am really impressed with this product.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Good conditioner, shame about the bottle.

I normally dont change my shampoo or conditioner as once I have found something which works I like to stick to it, rather than risk wasting money on a tub of one which isnto going to work, or will make my hair look crazy for days on end! It is for this reason I was a bit reluctant when my Mum bought a huge tub of this for me as it was on special offer. I was hopeful as it was especially for blonde hair and as my hair has highlights I was hoping this would add some sparkle and make my hair be in super condition.

The conditioner comes in a really large tub. Im not sure if you can get it in smaller ones, or if this is pretty much the standard size. The tub is round and yellow with a small round lid. You have to press down one side of the lid to lift the other up and from there squeeze out some of the conditioner. Now this is the hard part, You really have to squeeze the tub, hard with a bit two handed squeeze, which isnt exactly easy when you have slippery shower hands! The worst part is once you et about two thirds of the way through the tub you cant get any out at all, as if it is empty. You have to cut the tub open to see that there is still loads in there.

The conditioner itself is white in colour and very soft and silky. I put a blob on my hand and then run it in the ends of my hair and leave it on whilst having the rest of my shower. I then wash it off, well, and make sure I also wahs off the skin around my hair as otherwise it can get greasy and spotty if it gets too much conditioner on it.

Once washed off my hair is silky and soft. It also has a sparkle to it and some volume. I really like this conditioner and the effects it has on my hair, its just a shame the packaging is such a nightmare!

A good conditioner but you will have to wash your hair every day.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

ideal for coloured blonde or natural hair

I have recently gone from brown to blonde and wanted to retain the colour as long as possible and keep my hair healthy too.Normally i have always treated myself to expensive shampoos from the salon i go to but credit crunch and trying to cut back i decided to try a less expensive one.I was in superdrug and noticed that they had Tresemme Colour Thrive Blonde conditioner on a special offer of buy one get one free. This was for the 900ml bottles which were £4.55 each.So with the buyn one get on free offer i was impressed already !!

I got home and that night when i needed to wash my hair out it came. The bottles are quite large but do look very smart.Light gold in colour and with clear writing/instructions on.The conditioner is very thick and creamy,it smells nice and the scent is not over powering.I found the conditioner very easy to use and it left my hair feeling just like i had left the salon. You massage the conditioner into wet hair from the middle downwards and comb through to the ends of the hair and excess left on your hands is then applied to the roots. The conditioner should be left on for 2-3 minutes and then rinsed off.

I have been so pleased with the results my hair is soft and shiny. My colour is still as good as the day it was coloured which is amazing as normally it has dulled right down !!

I would highly reccommend this for anyone with coloured blonde hair especially as colouring your hair isnt cheap so if you can keep it looking fresh and vibrant for that bit longer then this is the product for you.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            leaves your hair feeling great

I have blonde hair and thought I would give this product a try.
It is a conditioner made by Tresemme. It comes packaged in a very nice bottle which is white and gold in colour.

This particular conditioner is especially designed to keep natural blonde and colour treated hair at its best for as long as possible.
It has a special 'colourthrive with fade block technology' This product claims to restore strentgh and brightness for a multi tonal effect. It also contains chamomile extract.

Its very easy to use just massage into wet hair after shampooing and comb through with a wide toothed comb, leave on for 2-3 minutes and then rinse. The conditioner itself was white in colour and a nice creamy consistency. It had a lovely fresh smell which was very pleasant. After using the conditioner my hair was noticably brighter in colour. It felt a lot softer and hydrated. I was also surprised at how easy it was to brush my hair out after, it is a great detangler. I was very pleased with the results and the shine the conditioner gave my hair was great.

The shampoo to use before this conditioner is also available. The conditioner is also available for other colours of hair.

The conditioner comes in a 500ml bottle and it cost £3.99 ( but often on a special offer) Available from supermarkets and chemists.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

I will look out for it again but hopefully have enough to last me a long while!

I tend to buy whatever conditioner is on offer when I am doing my grocery shopping rather than buying a specific one. This was buy one get one free about a month ago at Tesco for the 900ml bottle - I think it was around £4 for two bottles of either shampoo or conditioner. I stocked up and got about 6 altogether! I like the fact it was a larger bottle than I usually buy and although I am naturally blonde I do go a darker shade in the winter months so I do look out for Blonde hair products after summer.

It has a lid that you push to open up a small opening to get the conditioner out and just press it again to close. The product itself is white and has a quite creamy consistency. I use about a teaspoon and a half amount and my hair is just below the bottom of my shoulder blades so I would say long, but also gets quite dry ends and oily at the scalp. I tend to put it halfway down my hair and work into the ends, leave for a few minutes and then just mix into the rest of my hair then rinse. The smell is subtle and clean and does remind me of the hairdressers.

As for my hair it is easy to brush through after it is washed and I don't really get any breakage. My color is at the moment the same as it was in mid August which I am hoping it will stay! I don't know if I would class it as shiny or any more shiny than usual though!

Am glad I purchased this product as so far I am happy with the results and the fact that I can easily brush my hair after washing it!
