This masque is a great treat for my hair. I got mine from my sister as she really loved it and I think it works really well so will definately be buying another.
I have dry damaged hair so this is perfect for me to use to really condition my hair. It is a single sachet and is simple to use as you just massage it into your wet hair after shampooing and leave it on for about 5 minutes before washing it off. I actually leave mine in for longer because it smells lovely and is nice and relaxing to use.
This really is a professional quality masque. It makes my hair feel so soft and shiny after using it and my hair is so much less frizzy and feels a lot less dry. I think if you use hair straightners it is a really good idea to use this masque every few weeks because it really feels like it cares for my hair and makes a huge difference to how managable my hair is. I can tell instantly that my hair feels better by the texture of it.
I would definately recommend this masque as it is so good for your hair and works perfectly to condition and smooth out hair.
This product comes in a small sachet in the typical tresemme colours of black and white. There is enough of the product in the sachet to cover your hair (mine's mid-length and there was more than enough)
The sachet says to massage the product into the hair after shampooing and towel drying and to leave it in for 3-5 minutes. As my hair had got quite dry and damaged i chose to leave it in for the full 5 minutes before combing it through and rinsing out. Straight out of the shower, my hair felt immediately less tangled and generally smoother. Once i had dried my hair i noticed that i had considerably less flyaways and my hair did have a nice shine to it, without feeling weighed down by products.
The only downside to this product is that it seems to be quite a temporary fix, as a couple of days on and my hair is quite dry and frizzy again. However, as a quick treat for the hair, this is very effective and i think if i used this more regularly i may notice a long term difference in my hair.
Also, i found the sachet quite hard to open with wet hands in the shower so i'd advise opening the sachet beforehand!
Occasionally I like to pamper my hair and give it a real good treatment. I have very short choppy hair and so I dont tend to condition it on a regular basis. But on occasion I feel that I should give my hair a deep conditioning in order to promote shine and tip top condition.
Tresemme hair masque is a thoroughly brilliant product. I love the way in which it makes me feel, as though I am actually using a conditioner that is going to work wonders. This product oozes professionalism. From it's thick and creamy texture which seems so luxurious. To it's fresh smell which does not go down the sweet and sickly perfumed route but appears much more upmarket with it's simple and subtle freshness.
This tresemme deep soothing mask can be bought in sachet's. I think this is a novel and somewhat marvelous concept. I get annoyed sometimes at both the size and cost of hair products and therefore, I find this sachet great as it does not take up room in my cabinet and it also not too expensive a payout when I want to give my hair this treatment.
I love the feel of this masque when it is applied to my hair. I feel it has a coolness to it which I can feel working well into my hair and scalp. It is so revitalising and makes my hair feel super clean and well nourished. It also smells delightful. After I have used this masque I find that my hair is so much softer and shiny. It feels as though it takes out any frizz which I sometimes encounter on the ends of my hair.
I have been known to massage this into my hair and leave in overnight in order to give my hair a longer more intense treatment. I seriously don't know if I should do this, but to be honest it didnt do my hair any harm. Although, in fairness I can't say that it made any more difference in terms of condition than when I apply this masque and rinse off within 5 minutes.
There is no argument that this tresemme deep soothing masque is a fantastic conditioning hair product. It is much less harsh than some other tresemme hair products. I have found in the past that some of the tresseme range irritates my scalp, but this product offers no problems and infact, makes my scalp feel better.
The only problem I can pick with this masque is that it has such a soothing and calming effect on my hair that for a day or so afterwards I find it quite difficult to achieve my choppy, funky, spikey hair style. I find that my hair is so squeaky clean that it can be quite lifeless and has somewhat lost it's ablity to stay in place. I think that with my hair style I need a degree of thickness and depth to my hair in order for it to look it's best.
I am more than willing to suffer the consequences of not getting my hair to style the way I like for a day after using this product. I feel it is a small price to pay, in order to give my hair a conditioning treatment that helps restore life into my over treated hair. I use straightners every day and harsh spiking and thickening products. so I do believe that this masque is vital in order for my hair to stay in good condition.
Not only do I buy this masque for myself, but I occasionally buy it as part of my beauty hampers which I like to give as gifts. I think that as it has the name tresemme, it offers a sense of quality and assurance that it is going to work well. The sachet size of this masque is perfect for my beauty hampers, which are packed full of small little hair and beauty products.
I have quite damaged hair, thanks to years of many different colors, blow drying and straightening, so when I can I like to treat my hair to a bit of a saviour and one of the products I use for this is the Tresemme Deep Smoothing Masque. I already use Tresemme products, and when I saw this in Boots, I thought I would give it a try as it only cost 99p.
The Smoothing Masque comes in a 30ml sachet, which has a tear top and is not the easiest thing to open when you have wet hands, and I have had to rip mine open with my teeth a few times! Best plan - keep some small scissors in the bathroom!! When you do get the sachet open, it is quite easy to scoop out the Smoothing Masque. This is a thick, creamy texture and is white in color. It has a nice refreshing scent to it and it smooths onto the hair nicely. A small blob spreads quite far, and even though my hair is quite thick, this does all my hair. If your hair is longer than just past the shoulders, or is very thick, I recommend using two of these.
I usually leave this on my hair for about 10 minutes (packet suggests 5 minutes) after shampooing and conditioning my hair. It rinses out really easily, which is great. I hate having to spend forever rinsing a product out of my hair, I do have other things to do with my life than stand in the shower forever lol. After use, my hair does feel softer and it looks a lot healthier, but it is only a quick fix and is not a solution. The day after use, my hair looks more like normal again, although the softness lasts until I next wash my hair. I do find my hair is a little bit easier to style after using this, and it is more willing to behave during the day, so it does do some good work.
I would recommend these to anyone who wants to give their hair a bit of pampering, but it is not something that will fix any hair problems you have for longer than a day or 2. Pop into Boots and grab a sachet of this at 99p and enjoy!
Occasionally, I like to give my locks a good treat, particularly as I regularly colour my hair, as it's taken a fair bit of damage from this over the years. My hair is also prone to flyaways so I am always on the look out for products which claim to offer a solution, as well as deep nourishment.
A hair masque is the next step up from a conditioner, and it's generally recommended to use one on your hair at least once a week. The idea is it to leave it on for at least 2/3 minutes after using conditioner, to really allow it to work deep into the hair and give it extra vibrance, strength and shine.
Usually, I buy a pot of L'Oreal masque which can cost anywhere up to £5, however I wanted to try a one-treatment masque and came across the Deep Smoothing Masque by Tresemme. I haven't had much experience with Tresemme products however I do have a pair of Tresemme straighteners. The adverts suggest their products offer "Salon Quality" results, so I was intrigued to try this masque. At 99p for a 30ml treatment, this seemed like a bargain.
The suggested way to apply the masque is on wet hair, working it through from root to tip, however I chose to apply it to dry hair so I could leave it to work in for longer, and then rinse it off when I went to wash my hair later in the evening. I tend to find doing this about once a month gives added strength and shine to my hair, so I was hoping this product would give the same results.
The product is white in colour, and smells similar to the Tresemme travel sized conditioner, I used a while back. It is a pleasant but not overbearing smell, and the consistency is medium thick. I noticed quite quickly that there simply wasn't enough in one sachet for my whole hair! As I have long, thick hair there was only really enough for 1/3 of my hair, so I concentrated this on the top sections to make the most of the "smoothing" qualities. If I had applied this to wet hair it would have been easier to distribute, however I still wouldn't have had enough to cover all of my hair.
I left the mask of for a couple of hours, with a L'Oreal repair masque on my underneath sections, particularly on the tips where breakage is prone. When I went to rinse it off, I found the masque applied on the top sections of my hair difficult to rinse off, infact it took quite a bit of rinsing to really get it all out! This is probably down to the method I used in applying it, however the L'Oreal conditioner I had applied to the underneath sections of my hair had been left on for the same length of time, and washed out with ease so I certainly noticed the difference.
In terms of overall results, after I had dried my hair with my hair dryer, I wasn't overly impressed with the results of the masque, especially given the length of time it had been left on my hair. Although my hair was smooth, I didn't notice any real difference in the number of flyaways I had. This makes me wonder if conditioning treatments alone, are really enough to cure flyaways and frizz, and whether I need to start using styling products to really tame my hair.
All in all I would say this is a middle of the road product, it's a nice treat but it's nothing special, and there certainly are better treatments out there. It did leave my hair smelling nice and feeling somewhat smoother, but didn't tame my flyaways or enhance it's overall shine. You may find this product works wonders on your hair, however for me I think I will be sticking to my L'Oreal treatments!
