TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray comes in a black bottle with a spray nozzle on top. It contains 300ml of fluid and is a hair product that claims to be used by professionals. It states on the front that it 'Helps protect from ceramic straighteners, tongs and dryers' plus 'Reduces frizz and adds shine'.
I think mine cost about £3.89 from Wilkinson's which can seem quite expensive compared to some of the others; but as we often find out, you get what you pay for. However, it lasts about 2-3 months so not a bad investment at all!

Over the years I have tried many heat defence sprays. Seeing as I straighten my hair every day it is a very important product for me, and for anyone who doesn't use heat defence spray you may be wondering what the difference is between one and another.

Well, the main difference for me is how it feels on my hair. Other sprays I have tried have tended to be quite sticky and don't make my hair shine as much, whereas this is not sticky at all. The worst thing about other heat defence products, though, is the damage is does to my straighteners. I found with other products that there was a build up of a brown, almost caramel-like substance constantly forming on the ceramic plates. I had to carefully use make-up wipes to remove this because the heat wasn't transferring through to my hair. With this product there is no residue on my straighteners whatsoever!

'Helps protect from ceramic straighteners, tongs and dryers' - I spray the liquid generously all over my hair from about 12 inches away and then comb it through before I straighten. My hair stays in beautiful condition and I have had many compliments about the condition of it. I have never noticed any adverse effects from using straighteners i.e. dryness or damage to my hair. So, all in all I'd say it does protect. I don't use tongs or dryers (I always let my hair dry naturally), so I can't comment on these items, only to say I imagine straighteners are probably the harshest out of all three.

'Reduces frizz' - well, I can definitely agree with this as my hair becomes very smooth after using it, and stays that way all day.

'Adds shine' - yet another claim that stands true; my hair becomes beautifully shiny after using this, something I also noticed was lacking in other products.

I'm not surprised this product is used by professionals, because it is excellent. I would recommend it 100% and I'll never use anything else! 10/10 :o)
