Advantages: Reduces frizziness, keeps hair straight, nice smell, inexpensive, lasts a long time

Disadvantages: Doesn't prevent split ends, bottle can break when dropped on floor, may make some hair types greasy

A few years ago I never bothered straightening my hair as it was all one length. My hair is relatively straight so I never really even needed to blow dry it back then.
But then last year I had my hair cut and over time I've had more and more layers put in to it so now I have to straighten it all the time. I first started straightening it without using any heat defence product but as time went on I found that I was getting more and more split ends and my hair was beginning to go frizzy. So I decided to try this heat defence spray.

Over the last 6 months - year I have noticed that it has reduced the frizziness of my hair (which it does claim to do) however I still have the split ends. I have found that the only way I can actually get rid of them is to constantly get my hair trimmed.

I do sometimes use this when my hair is damp, so before drying it. However, most of the time I actually dry my hair and then use this as a sort of straightening serum. I have noticed that when I use it in this way that my hair seems to straighten really well and remains straight for most of the day.

I have also found that it's not suitable for using the following day when I haven't washed and dryed my hair (so as a straightening serum) as it just makes my hair greasy. If you use to much initially it can make your hair a little greasy but if you just use the right amount it gives it the perfect shine really.

The product has a lovely smell, its kind of fruity yet not sickly and this smell is transferred to my hair which is really nice when you get a whiff of it during the day!

The price of this product is around £3.99 however you can purchase it from BodyCare stores (the cheap toiletrey store incase you don't know) for about £3.60. I have also seen it on offer for 2 for £4 in Boots and Morrisons however this is quite rare! So it's a relatively inexpensive product. You can buy some heat defence products cheaper, but you can also buy some that are alot more expensive.

Another thing I would advise you all not to do with this product is drop it on the floor, as I have found that it can break the nossle so that you can't use it, which is a nuisance!

The 300ml container seems to last me absolutely ages. I was bought this one at Christmas and I'm just about finishing it off now! So thats about 5 months! Definately worth the price you pay.

I would recommend anyone to try this product, I don't think it would necessarily suit all hair types but probably suit those with pretty normal hair. You may be able to find better products for your hair but this one does a pretty good job for the price you're paying!

Give it a go!!

Summary: A good inexpensive product which is definately worth a try!!

I tried the tresemme products a while back but they left my hair feeling really dry - the GHD products seem to have the same effect - well reviewed - Catherine x :)
