Advantages: Works very well, last for ages, good price

Disadvantages: I don't use it in the proper way!

For me my hair has always been a bit of a problem. Since having a perm when I was a teenager I have ended up with permanent hair and even the slightest bit of damp weather sends it crazy so I am always on the look out for products which will help keep it sleek and straight after blow-drying and straightening. I came across the Tresemme range after hubby bought me a set of their straightness which contained 2 bottle of their hair care range.

The one which I have stuck to as I have had fantastic results from is the Heat Defence spray.

~~THE BOTTLE~~

The spray comes in a black bottle which has the logo at the top in white writing and the product name and a bit about what it claims to do at the bottom. The Heat Defence title is in a purple rectangle which makes this bottle easy to identify on the shop shelf. On the back of the bottle is Tresemme's philosophy, the level of hold which this product will give you, a short paragraph about the product and the ingredients and directions for use.

The top of the plastic bottle has a black trigger spray head which makes it very easy to spray this from and actually get it where you are aiming.

~~USE~~

It is recommended that this product is sprayed evenly through clean and damp hair before blow drying and when drying the hair a dryer with a concentrator nozzle is used to help aid the reduction of frizz. For me I don't bother with this as I never blow dry my hair, I always let it dry naturally. I do use this product on a daily basic and spray it onto sections of my dry hair before running over it with my straightness. When this is done the hair does make a sizzling noise but this is just the dampness of the spray reacting with the heat of the straightness.

~~RESULTS~~

After using the product in the way which I do I find my hair is so much easier and quicker to straighten and I can actually go out in damp weather with straight hair and return home with it still straight. The product for some reason helps to keep the damp air and moisture from making me look like I a birds nest on my head. I know I ma not using it as directed but for some reason it works great in this other way.

I have not found it looks to be damaging my hair and it does in fact always make it look so much more shiny and thick. I have a colour on my hair and this product has had not bad effect on it and has improved the lasting effect of the colour.

The spray does have a nice pleasant fragrance when sprayed and this is not overpowering. I am finding t hard to describe the smell but for me it always remind me of being in the hairdressers. This smell does not remain on the hair for long after being sprayed which may be a little bit of a downside but then again it is an advantage if you are not keen on the fragrance.

~~INFO~~

The back of the bottle claims that this product will give and natural level of hold to hair but I have to say I only agree with this to a certain extent as it gives a super hold whilst still managing to make the hair look quit natural. I never feel like my hair looks stuck down and unable to blow around in the wind so I have to say this is only a slightly accurate claim from them and they should promote the hold a little more.

The bottle come in a 300mlsize and for me using it every day I can easily get a good 2 months out of one bottle.

~~INGREDIENTS~~

Below are the ingredients for those who wish to know what is contained in the spray.

Aqua (water), propylene glycol, Glycerine, Dipropylene Glycol, Bisamino PEG/PPG-41/3, Aminoethy PG-Propyl, Dimethicone, Sodium Cocoyl Amino Acids, Potassium Dimethicone PEG-7 Panthenyl Phosphate, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Tocopheryl Acetate, Quaternium-26, Amodimethicone,Panthenol,Oleth-20, Benzophenone-4, Trideceth-12, Cetrimonium Chloride, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin,Penoxyethanol, Geraniol, Amyl Cinnamal, Citronellol, Butylphenyl, Methylpropional, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal,Limonene, Fragrance (Parfum)

~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~

I always by this now from Tesco and in comes in with a price tag of £3.98 which for me is excellent as I always get a good 2 months worth of use out of the one bottle. It is available in other shops and supermarkets but I ma not sure on the price they charge.

~~OVERALL~~

Overall I do highly recommend this spray even if I don't use it in the correct way as I get fantastic results and a long lasting hold despite being out in wet whether. I also has a great price tag for the amount of time one bottle lasts.

Summary: A great spray for reducing frizz and making hair straight
