“ Brand: Tresemme / Type: Conditioner / Subcategory: Moisturiser / What it does: Moisturizes, „
I have medium-long curly hair which easily gets tangled and needs conditioning to make it manageable. I tend to wash it most days, just quickly, as washing keeps the curls in place, otherwise on a second day after washing my hair starts to become rather frizzy.
I need a good conditioner which releases the tangles from my hair in the shower so that immediately after I have put the conditioner on, left it for 30 seconds or so and then rinsed it off the tangles wash away with the rinsed water. After conditioning I like to be able to easily run my fingers through my hair and Tresemme Pro Vitamin B5 with Aloe Vera provides all this for me.
I have been using Tresemme on and off for years - it's one of about 5 brands I buy, depending on what's in the shop and what's on offer. My mother first recommended it to me and it was her hairdresser who recommended it to her, it was also the brand that the salon was using. I believe Tresemme was originally more of A "salon" brand and has, over time come into the mainstream hair product market.
This conditioner smells to me very much like "salon" conditioner, in fact it reminds me of going to the hairdressers when I use it. It's a sort of strong floral smell, which is quite pleasant and anyway I can hardly smell it on my hair when it's dried. I like that the conditioner is very thick as when I squeeze it out of the flip nozzle it stays in the palm of my hand rather than escaping through my fingers. It is also easy to apply - I rub both my hands together and then apply it to my hair, mainly the ends as I don't like to get too much conditioner in the roots as conditioner tends to make my roots go greasy quicker. The conditioner is white in colour and I use a blob about the size of a £2 coin every time I wash my hair.
The Tresemme brand bottles are all quite simple in design, either black or white in colour, this one is white. There is hardly any unnecessary ornamentation on the bottle, just the brand name, what it is, what it does and the ingredients and directions on the back. Actually the directions on the back say to leave the conditioner on the hair for 2-3 minutes and then comb through, but I really don't have time for this and the 30 seconds or so I leave it in my hair seems to do the job for me! The bottles are a very strong plastic and keep their shape nicely.
I usually get my Tresemme from Waitrose, but can get it in most of the main supermarkets or chemists. It costs around £3.50 so at first it seems a little more expensive, however the bottle is huge, it's 500ml and lasts me months so it works out to be very good value. At the moment Tresemme is on a 3 for 2 offer at Waitrose, so I bought 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner.
Tresemme is one of my favourite conditioner brands as it leaves my hair tangle free, soft and very manageable. It gets the full 5 stars from me!
===Why I Bought This===
Well I have never bothered much with hair conditioner over the years but with my hair now showing signs of my age I thought that I needed to try and give it a little bit more tender loving care so I am now trying out various conditioners to see if I can give my fast greying locks a bit of a boost. Luckily this one ended up in our bathroom thanks to son and his girlfriend.

This conditionser is white and quite thick. It also has quite a strong flowery sort of smell - but from the ingredients it must have more fruity elements I could detect as it contains lemon and grapefruit extracts. Anyway the smell is quite pleasant and does linger on your hair.
I have short hair so do not need to use a lot of this conditioner at a time - so 900 mls would last me absolutely ages. I use the conditioner after most washes these days and leave it for a minute or two before rinsing as recommended. It rinses out quite well and then I usually leave my hair to dry naturally.
Having been quite sceptical about other conditioners I found that this one does leave my hair nice and soft and also sort of bouncy - which is a bonus as my hair is straight and thin and this bounce came all on its own.
I am lucky having younger people in the house so I am able to try various products that they buy for themselves. This was one such product, which I probably would not have thought to buy for myself, but I have been suitably impressed with it so I think I will continue to buy and use it for myself. Previously I would mostly be trying out Avon conditioners.
In my younger days I never would use conditioners as my hair was so greasy anyway - but now being more mature these mosturising conditioners are definitely something I need.
I like that this brand has been made to a salon standard and it is a bonus that I can order it online with my groceries.
===Would I Recommend?===
This is my favourite product of the Tresemme brand. It's a good all-round conditioner that leaves my hair feeling really soft and sleek every time. I always use conditioner after shampooing, as I have long, flyaway hair that tangles easily. I can use this conditioner every tiime, with no problems, no residue or greasiness. It washes away fine, leaving my hair really manageable.
The product is white and looks quite gloopy and thick. It smells quite 'soapy', but it's not an unpleasant smell, just quite clean. It comes in small (500ml) bottles in the supermarket, but I bought 1 gallon of it in Costco, and it has lasted for ages. I don't need to use very much, even though my hair is long.
After using the product, it is very easy to brush my hair - ordinarily it would be very tangly. This product works exactly as it is supposed to, and I can't find a fault with it. Even the price is good. A really good conditioner, suitable for frequent, continual use.
I love all Tresemme products but partcularly this one!
My hair type is greasy roots but extremely dry ends (down to years of bleaching) and have never been able to find a product that is not too greasy for the roots but manages to moisturise the ends.
Not only does this product do just that, it is also great value for money and lasts forever. It has a very light texture and I didn't need to use too much. I have a habit of using too much conditioner as my moto is more is better, but I can honestly say that i didn't feel the need to do this.
Once a week I smother my hair with this, wrap my head in clingfilm and soak in the bath. I know this sounds strange but it has the same effect as a very expensive hair mask at half the price.
I have been using this product for a couple of months now and can see me using it for the foreseeable future.
This product is very good. My hair was terribly dry and brittle before use and now it is soft textured and full of life. I would recommend this product as it not only does what it says on the bottle about remoisturizing it has a wonderful smell that leaves your hair smelling divine.
My daughters will not use anything else as they feel they have found the right product for their hairand i totally agree with them
