Advantages: EXCELLENT PRODUCT - DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT PROFESSES ON THE TIN!

Disadvantages: NONE FOR ME - WORTH EVERY PENNY - EVEN AT FULL PRICE!

I really wanted to spread the word about this fantastic new 'TRESemme' professional formula hair mousse - one of the latest offerings to hit the shops' shelves from this respected merchandising range.

This particular hair care product is called 'Salon Finish extra control'; promising 'maximum hold' alongside 'lasting body and shine' within its 300ml black metal container, starting off at a cost of £4.10 at Boots the Chemists in recent months.

Having used Boots own extra firm mousse for many years now, I was looking for something to give me that 'certain something' extra from a foam of this nature - more hold during my styling ritual - with more body added whilst blow-drying, by trying this maximum TRESemme strength solution on my light, flyaway locks.

Thin, lifelessly lank tresses has always been one of the banes of my life, unfortunately.

Therefore having to rely on chemical additions to my mane can be somewhat annoying at times, when you look at those blessed individuals who have a wonderfully thick, luxuriant head of hair just without trying, 'Grrr'!

A neon pink 'NEW' mini advertisement word, as well as the small bright canister's title highlighted against the charcoal darkness of the rest of the tin's classy background, effectively attracted my customers' roving eye to the latest in this family line of salon/stylist tested mousses, whilst out shopping for more toiletry staples...

Scanning down the back of the 7" inch high chunky tube - topped with a more slender, black pop-off plastic lid - for the marketing blurb, one of the first things I spotted was the company's logo of 'TRESemme - Professional, Affordable'.
Next, reading that the ingredients contain 'ProVitamin B5' to help add shine, as well as protect the hair during the styling process - plus the fact this pure white foam contains a UV filter to protect against environmental damage - well it all sounded pretty good to me, fellow dooyoo'ers.

Alcohol Denat, Acrylates, Propylene Glycol, were just a few of the additions to a baffling list of added ingredients!

Obviously this tin contains dangerously flammable solvent propellants such as Isobutene, Propane and Butane - so care must taken when both storing the canister under 50 degrees Celsius and on discarding the empty pressurised container after use - no throwing it on fires, you hear?!

This mixture is perfumed on use, however it is only lightly fragranced; smelling quite expensive after shaking the can well before spraying a golf ball sized frothy shape onto an open palmed hand, and then applying to the desired damp area of the head before styling ...

There are a couple of lemon-based compound additives which I personally think give it more of a ocean scent than anything else; and the smell soon dissipates so is not overpowering - a useful fact if you use many different hair care chemical creations all in one session like, I tend to do!

An important point to note as well is that its salon-quality formula does not exacerbate my dermatitis at all; I have to be very careful on using new liquids, solutions or creams that they do not aggravate my constantly hyper-sensitive skin...

As far as my opinion as regards the price tag compared to its 'real' consumer value goes, well I think it's worth every last penny!

Being a perpetual wash-my-hair-everyday type of person, this can has lasted me several months already before showing signs of running out; and as far as the quality of the volumising mousse goes, why again I think it's excellent!
Up to press it is by far the best holding mousse I have ever tried, delivering everything it promises on the packaging - plus I do believe it does add to my hair's chemically-enhanced bottled colour sheen!

At the moment several of these 'new generation' varieties are on offer in Boots, so last week I purchased both my mousse plus TRESemme heat protector sprays for around the £6 mark- a bargain indeed for my regular usage ranges considering how long both these products last...

I have no qualms at all in recommending this new TRESemme Salon Finish mousse to those of you who are looking for an extra-strength change - 5 frothy white Stars are richly deserved for this fabulous item!

PS
***
When the can seems totally empty, try running it under warm water for a minute or two - as if by magic you can squeeze another one or two applications out of an apparently used up product!

Summary: I AM A TOTAL CONVERT TO THIS MOUSSE, IT LASTS AGES AND GIVE THE RESULTS I REQUIRE!
