Tresemme Shampoo Thermal Recovery 500ml
Advantages: fruity smell, does make hair softer
Disadvantages: not fully repaired hair
Tresemme bottles are quite distinct as this comes in a tall black cylinder shaped bottle with a red lid to stand out and the Tresemme logo bold in white on the front. On the bottle front, it has red writing saying Thermal Recovery Replenishing Shampoo and states that it is for heat damaged and dried out hair. It mentions that it is a 500ml bottle and then also that it contains aloe vera and almond extract an it has a metallic flame sort of design cutting through the type which looks quite nice. It also has new advanced technology, salon performance and it replenishes and strengthens. On the label on the back of the bottle it goes into information about what the shampoo does and ingredients and how to use it.
TRESEMME THERMAL RECOVERY SHAMPOO
The packaging caught my eye initially but the shampoo does promise to nourish hair where replenishment is most needed and also to add strength to styled hair. The idea of this is that it adds life back into hair which has been damaged from blow drying, hair straightening and curling tongs in other words, general heat styling. This shampoo is ok for daily use as it won't dry out hair, it promises to make hair softer and healthier looking. This shampoo can be used with the conditioner of the same name but I have been using this shampoo with another brand of conditioner. My hair is mainly dry at the ends but it has always had shine it is just that it can look a bit dry if the right products are not used on it.
When opening this shampoo it is just a screw top lid and then the shampoo has a nice smell, it smells fruity and that is the best way to describe it. It is quite strong but also with a hint of floral, it is a nice smell though and the shampoo itself is white a medium consistency but runny enough to come out of the bottle easily. They recommend to avoid contact with eyes as this can cause eye irritation and in case of contact with eyes, flush thoroughly with water. So, I put a small amount into my hand with this, I found a small amount didn't really lather very easily at all so next time I used it I had to use a lot more which isn't usually the case with my hair. Once I used more though it did lather up nicely.
The smell is nice when washing hair and I did feel it really cleaning when using this as it washed thoroughly. I always do a second wash when shampooing for really clean hair and once I had done the second wash it foamed up even more. The shampoo rinsed out easily and my hair felt fine once I wrapped towel around it, ready to dry it and see the results. Once my hair was fully dried I did feel that it was a lot softer and less dry feeling it doesn't perform miracles and magically repair hair completely but it did make it more manageable which was great and also it felt better to touch. I have now been using the shampoo for a good few months now though and my hair is looking better than it used to.
I cannot lie and say my hair is completely repaired as it will not lock up split ends as no shampoo works miracles but I think my hair just feels better to work with. I won't completely change to this one all of the time but use it the odd time to keep my hair in good condition. It is mainly for people heat styling their hair that need a shampoo to keep hair in a maintainable condition and this is what this does. You don't need to keep using this all of the time but maybe what I would try later would be to get the conditioner that goes with this too as this may enhance the results even more. This shampoo is a good buy and the bottle size is great too and it lasts a good while once it is bought.
