“ Brand: Tresemme / Texture: Fluid / Type: Hair Balm / What it does: regenerates, „
As many of you may now by now, I am a big user of hair products, and anything that makes my hair look better and feel better without a high price tag or extra effort is all good for me.
One of the products I have tried and stuck with is Tresemme Thermal Creations Straightening Balm. This product is part of the Tresemme Thermal Creations range and it comes in a black squeeze tube with a red pop cap. The pop cap is at the bottom of the tube and is also used as a base to stand it up on the dresser, or where ever you keep your hair products.
This Straightening Balm is activated by heat styling, so when you use your hair dryer, tongs and straighteners, the product is activated into protecting your hair. I am not sure why you would be using Straightening Balm on your hair when curling with tongs, but there is a picture of tongs on the packaging along with the picture of a hairdryer and the straighteners.
This product is best used on damp hair after a shampoo and condition. Just a tiny blob, about the size of a 20p coin is all I need to spread it through all my hair, which is quite thick and long. I always use a detangling comb to make sure it is evenly spread through my hair. The product itself is quite thick in texture, but spreads quickly and easily. Then, once it is spread through, I just blow dry my hair as usual. The Straightening Balm does not have a strong smell, but if you give it a good whiff it does have a nice, subtle scent to it, which is fresh and reminds me of a hair salon.
I was not expecting this product to make much of a difference to my hair, but I was actually quite happy with the results. It was straighter than usual when it was blowdryed and it had a nice shine to it as well. My hair was smooth and soft, and when it was then straightened, it seemed to stay straighter for longer, even with the bad weather!
I was quite impressed with this Straightening Balm, and I use it now on a regular basis, along with a few other different products. Sometimes I will vary between hair products (which you can find more reviews on soon lol!) but I will always happily use this one, and compared to many other Straightening Balms I have used in the past, this is the best one in my opinion.
I totally recommend this Straightening Balm, and you can buy it in Boots and on Boots.com. I am not sure if it is available elsewhere. I usually pay around £4 a tube for this product, which is brilliant value as you hardly have to use any when you put some in your hair, and a tube will last me around 4 months. A total bargain I think! If you like to have an extra hand when doing your hair, then this is what you are looking for!
About 6 months ago a supermarket by me had a massive sale on all Tresemme products and among other things my mom picked me up two of these Straightening Balms as Im always putting product after product in my hair to try and get it to stay straight. Ive always been a big fan of every Tresemme product that Ive tried because they always work really well and they are such great quality but they are usually so expensive so I can never afford to buy them so when an oppurtunity comes along like this when I can get them for free I start using them immediatly.
I always need to use products like this beause I put my hair through a lot of damage daily. I straighten or curl it without fail everyday and I am often seen blow drying it after a shower and obviously that creates a lot of split ends and frizz so Im always on the lookout for new products that will hopefully prevent me from causing so much damage but nothing had really worked. That is until I used this balm.
The back of this 150ml tube tells me that this product is specifically designed for use alongside heat appliances to help you get todays hottest looks without drying out your hair. Apparantly the result you should be left with after you have used this is a silky, glossy finish and over time with continued use it can actually help with the overall feel and appearnace of your hair. This really does sound to good to be true right? But it actually does everything it promises.
The back of the tube tells me that you should apply this to wet hair and brush evenly through from root to tip. However Ive found that this works best for me when my hair is damp rather than dripping wet but I guess that all depends on your individual hair type. I will say though never use it on dry hair! It will leave you with big greasy clumps that are just vile. Trust me Im talking from experience.
When I read "balm" in the title I was expecting this to be like a creamy liquid but its actually a transparent gel which I'll just add smells amazing. It so easy to apply but you only need the tiniest amount otherwise it really will work against the look your trying to achieve.
I couldnt believe the results after I used this because my hair felt and looked absolutely amazing. Even if I do say so myself! You know when you see a hair care advert and the woman cant stop running her fingers through her "amazingly soft" hair. Well thats what I was like I was really shocked. My hair felt full of volume, soft and proper shiny and that night everyone was commenting on how great my hair looked so it wasnt just me who thought so. And now Ive been using it for about 5 months every other night and I would definately say that this has helped the overall condition of my hair and you cant even see or feel any split ends that are lurking in my hair. Im proper chuffed with this product and even though I bought it 5 months ago Ive only used about half of one tube so it will last me forever and thats using it every other day!
I cannot recommend this highly enoughand when mine runs out when Im about 25 LOL Ill be down the supermarket straight away to stock up on some more.
My hair certainly felt and looked better immediately after I used this and its been getting better ever since so I cant recommend this highly enough. The best hair care product Ive ever used without a doubt.
I think this is about £5 from chemists and places like Superdrug & Boots but I reckon it is worth every penny you pay for it!
