"Tresemme" hair shampoos and conditioners hit the retail market a couple of years ago. They arrived with slightly quirky and unfortunately memorable adverts which claimed that this product was used by professionals, that is those of the hairdressing brigade. The idea was that these folks wanted their products back and that us ordinary folk should not be using it ourselves. Before using Tresemme moisture rich shampoo, I used a salon only shampoo. In a bid to save money I thought that I would try the so called 'salon quality' shampoo. I decided to get the moisture rich version as my hair can get dry and a bit frizzy on occasion. In my local Tesco, where I buy it from, they only do the large 900 ml bottles, which cost £3.99 on the Tesco website. On the boots website I found smaller 500 ml bottles going for £2.09. Tresemme is a UK brand founded by stylist Alberto Culver, himself working on hair for over 40 years. Tresemme have advertised continually for 'Salon hair' - so I gave it a go. Tresseme Moisture Rich Shampoo. After many attempts at finding the right shampoo, (vidal Sasoon, H&S, Timotei, Johnsons etc,) we thought this a go. The thing that first attracted me to Tresemme was the price of it!! I can buy a 500ml bottle of shampoo and conditioner in my local Wilkinsons store for a bargain price of £4 for both of them!! I was so tired of paying £5 per bottle for the previous shampoo and conditioner I used, so I decided to give this one a go. Tresemme Shampoo is great it leaves your hair silky and shiny, it’s also gentle on your pocket. The advert says it's Salon quality Shampoo and it is, you feel like you get the same clean feeling you get after being to the hairdressers. I started using my bottle on Christmas day and its almost empty now, with two of us using it everyday; it’s lasted very well.
