Advantages: would make a great towel dye!

Disadvantages: Price, product, just doesnt do what its supposed to!

Trevor Sorbie Brunette shampoo caught my eye in boots a few weeks ago. It looked and sounded just what i needed to use between my six weekly hair colour appointments.
The 250ml bottle with the conditioner of the same range set me back a tenner but I thought it would be worth it to maintain my hair between salon visits.
Trevor Sorbie MBE is a name most people would trust and I have used his products in the past and been very satisfied.
This Brunette Shampoo claims to 'enhance your hair colour and leave in top condition' Alledgedly if you use this in conjunction with other products in this range it will make you feel youve just stepped out of the salon'

The dark coloured shampoo is infused with brown colour tones and this should enhance your natural brunette colour, it contains 18MEA which is your hairs natural shine complex and lastly it contains a unique anti-oxidant which is proven to protect hair from heat styling and damage.
Usage is much as any shampoo. Wet hair, work a small amount of shampoo into your palms and distribute evenly through your hair. Massaging for two minutes should activate the colour.

Ive used this product a handful of times now along with the conditioner and am afraid to say that I find it very disappointing.
I find the cap impossible to open with wet hands, I find the smell not shampoo like at all - its almost a 'dirty' smell. I find it gloopy and slimey and its a job to make it lather. I find it stains my towels and the grouting between my bathroom tiles and most importantly I guess, my hair feels very heavy the next day and whilst normally I only wash my hair three times a week, when using this I feel my hair needs a wash the next day.I cant honestly say that I notice a colour change to my hair either.

Thought that I should just add here (as it may or may not make a difference) that I have extremely long hair hence the splahed bathroom when i wash my hair and also as a wearer of glasses Im obviously half bling when it comes to washing my hair without glasses lol. I dont honestly feel that my review would be much different if i had short hair and had 20/20 vision but perhaps there wouldnt be the splashing and it would be easier to rinse my hair hence wouldnt be on the towels.

I pursued with this a few times purely because of the cost but it will definately go into the back of my bathroom cabinet now to be thrown in six months time to no doubt make room for something else!

Summary: I wouldnt bother with this even if it were on offer as I dont even rate it just as a shampoo!

I love the straightening range they do along with the moisturising one. I do hate the design of the bottles though as it's almost impossible to use all of the shampoo.

Oh dear - the design of these bottles is a bit crap - I've read other reviewers saying the same thing.
