Advantages: A usually trusted brand name...
Disadvantages: Didn't work on my dry and brittle hair when it needed it most :(
I dye my hair a really cool purple and wash and straighten it every day with my GHD paddle straightners so it's in pretty bad condition recently.
Everybody's been advising me to deep condition my long tresses to give it to a much needed moisturising treatment so I found this on one of the shower shelves in the bathroom recently as if by magic!
Made by Trevor Sorbie, a professional name in hair care so I hear, my mum told me it cost £4.88 when she bought it in Boots a while ago but she got a £2 voucher off as well...
This product is advertised as 'Deep Intensive Conditioning Treatment' and comes in a 15oml plastic bottle with a flip top lid at the bottom of the tube to make it easier to squeeze out, and keeps Ok for 2 years once opened according to the bottle.
There's a write up on the back stating this conditioner is supposed to de-frizz and detangle dried out hair like mine whilst protecting it and 'leaving it soft, sleek & tangle-free with lasting shine' - perfect for mine then (:
It also states there is a unique anti-oxidant complex along with a UV filter to protect the user's hair from 'heat & environmental damage'.
As always with something like this you shampoo and towel dry your hair first before applying to the clean, damp hair.
My hair is long so I used about a tablespoon and combed it all over my hair and left it fro the recommended 3-5 minutes before rinsing it out.
The results were really disappointing though! :(
My hair felt like a hedgehog and really rough, yuk!
It was also very frizzy - a thing that the write up had said it did gets rid of.
My hair did not feel moisturised at all; it felt really dry and rough, almost as though I had not conditioned it at all. It was also very tangled and I struggled to comb it through, in fact it was horrible stuff to use. The deep intensive solution didn't work at all let alone add moisture or make my hair feel softer.
I thought it was rubbish and not worth the money at all(glad I didn't pay for it!), and I've use cheaper everyday conditioners with far better results.
I would give this no star if I could, it was terrible.
Summary: Don't waste your money, there are some great conditioners out there that do that job.
